By s y Go To PostWhat'sts the difference between a 48 win team and a 50 win team?the same as averaging a triple double and actually helping your team win
Because the east had 4 of those teams last season.
By s y Go To Post..okay?right? lol
By s y Go To PostWhat'sts the difference between a 48 win team and a 50 win team? That's up to debate but you then could agrue what's the difference between a 48 win team and a 45 win team...
Because the east had 4 of those teams last season.
There's like... exponential shit to this. Getting to 50-wins is tougher than 41 and 60 exponentially more so. Like, the Raptors finally broke 50 wins for first time in their franchise history just a year ago. It doesn't come as easy as you think.

If it didn't matter then why does the East always struggle to break that mark, year in and year out?
Plus I would've loved to see a conference less seeding system in the playoffs. No way teams like Raptors or Pacers make it to the Conference Finals playing like they do if they had to face a West team in the first or second. Maybe not even second round.
By reilo Go To PostIf it didn't matter then why does the East always struggle to break that mark, year in and year out?matters in what way?
its a nice round number. are we really gonna say that all 50 win teams are better than all 48 or 49 win teams? because that's where this is headed next lol
By DY_nasty Go To Post2 games though?it is like when Webber went from 20 ppg to 24 ppg then 27 ppg in back to back to back seasons.. it is only a few points but not easy to do
48 to 50 wins doesn't matter all that much, i would say point differential when teams are that close is a better indicator of how good a team is.
By blackace Go To Postit is like when Webber went from 20 ppg to 24 ppg then 27 ppg in back to back to back seasons.. it is only a few points but not easy to doso the warriors won less games than last year, are they a worst team now?
and scoring gets inflated all the time too depending on circumstances...

By diehard Go To Post90s was close but it has been all down hill since then and overall the west has just been better... even at their worst they have never dipped into the 30% percentile unless what's the difference between 37% and 40%
The 90's was up and down on East vs West, but pretty even.
By reilo Go To PostName the last sub-50 win team to make it to the Conference Finals.well... I can name the last sub 50 win to chip..
By reilo Go To PostName the last sub-50 win team to make it to the Conference Finals.Pacers in 2012-2013.
By blackace Go To Postwell… I can name the last sub 50 win to chip..Rockets '95?
By diehard Go To PostPacers in 2012-2013.Now do the same for the West. Can probably raise it above 50 to 52-54 or something and it's just as rare.
By reilo Go To PostName the last sub-50 win team to make it to the Conference Finals.we already know that parity is lacking in the NBA. conference balance is kinda different. kinda wish ppl would take a look into college ball because nba divisions definitely end up playing towards each other a bit more than people want to admit

By diehard Go To PostTrick question, Spurs '99!lol I knew that was going to come up but that would still be wrong because 12 Heat

By DY_nasty Go To Postwe already know that parity is lacking in the NBA. conference balance is kinda different. kinda wish ppl would take a look into college ball because nba divisions definitely end up playing towards each other a bit more than people want to admitBut it doesn't even happen in the East. diehard pointed out Pacers in 2013 and then last time before that were 2003 Nets (49-wins) and Celtics in 2002 (49-wins). It's rare af.
By diehard Go To Postwow i totally forgot about that kinda-short season, Heat were 46-20 in 2012.Clearly we ain't talking about lockout seasons lol
In West, the win totals of each team that faced each other in the WCF the past ten years:
2016: 73 v. 55
2015: 67 v. 56
2014: 62 v. 59
2013: 58 v. 56
2012: Lockout, who cares (50 v. 47 if you do)

2009: 65 v. 54
2008: 57 v. 56
2007: 58 v. 51
Average: 62 v. 55

Watching the highlights of spurs, fuck happened? I mean they hit alot of three's but so many mismatches all over the place.
We need a new point guard man, CP3 pls come to daddy.

Amazing that as bad as the Sixers and Bobcats were, they only once had the worst record each

Gondo's boi set the tone in the first
"That's why he's so great, because he's not out there holding the ball in his hands the whole time, shooting 20 shots in the first quarter," Anderson said. "He's a guy that wants to feel the rhythm of the game, feel the flow of the game, make the right play. … A lot of times, teams focus on him, so he knows if he passes the ball off, he’s going to get a wide-open shot for somebody else.
What a difference three years make.
I guess today's game was one way to avoid poor late game execution. We blew out OKC in the first game and the rest of the series was close. We beat the Spurs on their homecourt in the first matchup of the regular season, and they won the season series. I'm worried about how Pop will respond, but got to hand it to the Rockets, they came out to play.

By reilo Go To PostNeat. The Southwest Division had FOUR 50-win teams in 2015 alone. The fifth team won 45 games. In 2011, they had five teams with 43 or more wins. It has been a very competitive division for the last decade. There is usually only one bad team (switches between the Grizz and Pels).

"I think the way we look at it is plan on him [Kerr] not coming back," Warriors forward Draymond Green told reporters. "That's the way we're approaching this thing … Mike Brown is our coach, we have the rest of our staff, and that's who we're rolling with."
sounds a bit insensitive, but it is Dray
By reilo Go To PostNeat. The Southwest Division had FOUR 50-win teams in 2015 alone. The fifth team won 45 games. All teams in that division made it into the playoffs, too. Harden was absolutely robbed that season, in retrospect, given today's criteria for MVP.
By Smokey Go To Postsounds a bit insensitive, but it is DrayI'm taking this a bit out of context but it's still funny:
I wasn’t a Charles Barkley fan growing up. No disrespect to Chuck. He’s a great player, but as I got older, I watched his game because I knew he was undersized and the things that he could do, I tried to add some of that stuff to my game. But nah, he didn’t influence me at all.
Dahntay Jones signed a veteran’s minimum contract with the Cavaliers on the very last day of the regular season, meaning that his prorated salary for the year was $9,127. The 36-year-old earned three garbage-time minutes at the end of last night’s win over the Raptors, and in those three minutes he managed to dunk a big dunk, get ejected from the game, and accrue $6,000 in fines.http://deadspin.com/dahntay-jones-was-fined-almost-his-entire-salary-for-th-1794834036
