By Puddles Go To PostStern did his goddamn best to hand this to the Clippers. Some of those foul calls…Stern sipping Mai tais somewhere doubt he cares about the Clips
The Jazz are a good team. It's tough to sweep in the playoffs, especially the deeper you go. The Warriors are vastly superior, but they're prone to a bad shooting night once in a while, and the Jazz actually protect the interior. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they managed to take a game. Two games would be a surprise, but I sort of expect them to take one.
16-0 is a way out there. But they look unshackled in a good way w/o Kerr so I wouldn't be totally shocked.
I'm ready to see my Toronto Raptors fall to the Cavs this round. I just hope we don't get swept. The Eastern Conference sucks.

By DY_nasty Go To Postdidnt help okcHelped us get to the point where we should have beaten the 73-win Warriors (also: how many people would say we had more overwhelming talent than even the Spurs last season, much less the Warriors?).
Not our fault that Durant's heartstrings were being tugged by Draymond in late night text sessions.

By IWMTB19 Go To PostDoes Raptors-Cavs count as a Kobe vs. LeBron series?
Stats stolen from RealGM:
DeRozan 2016 ECF versus Cavs: 54/108 from the field and 30/33 from the line.
2017 first round versus Bucks: 47/107 from the field and 46/50 from the line.
Total over past 12 playoff games and 2 rounds: 101/215 (47%) and 76/83 (92%) from the line
More like Lebron vs. Mecha Kobe.

This is not how the world ends.
Losing to the Jazz, in particular, can feel like two tectonic plates moving in opposite directions. The Clippers lost to a team that in many ways radiates an opposite identity: a small-market franchise that spent almost all of its resources developing young talent and creating one of the deepest talent pools in the league. Sunday’s game was broadcast on ABC, just the second time the Jazz managed to receive major network exposure this season, and it was a hallmark game for introducing the world to Jazz basketball: methodical and slow-paced, with a heavy emphasis on ball movement and securing possessions. The last time the Jazz played on an over-the-air television network prior to this season was February 2, 2001. NBC still had broadcast rights then; Karl Malone still had two seasons remaining in Utah; Gordon Hayward was a scrawny fifth-grader playing option quarterback who practically begged off the team because he was getting annihilated by older players on every down.I can kinda understand the Jazz fan persecution complex when put in such light lol
dude our GM is out here on podcasts begging the league to stop jobbing us by pointing out the NBA's own internal missed call reviews.
Why am I listening to Bill Simmons yell at me about how the Clips should have traded Blake Griffin for Carmelo Anthony.
Melo had less than five win shares this year.
Why is Bill Simmons attacking Kemba Walker now. Kemba is clearly better than Melo.

Coach was talking about sacrificing for something bigger than myself. If we're as sloppy as we were in the regular season series, and like we were against OKC, I can't see us making it past the Spurs. Hopefully it's a competitive series.
I was a young’un when I got to Houston five years ago. Back then, I honestly don’t know how I would’ve responded to Coach’s request. But this year feels different. I’m older, I’m closer with this group than any other team I’ve been on. It’s in how we play. We really do believe we’re better together than we are as individuals. We really do get along on and off the court. Everyone has a role. Everyone does their part. We sacrifice for each other.
Regardless, it's been nice seeing the change in Harden and the team this season.

Losing Dwight means it's hard to hate on Houston anymore. You lost most of the guys that were kind of shitty. Only thing I can knock on the team now is how, despite the occasional really nice passes and looks, Harden's game is still ugly and near unwatchable.
It's a shame because I really like watching your second unit play with Lou and the other guys this season. I hope you're able to keep this core.
"The problem with Utah is that you're just sitting there and your mind is, like, dead, because in L.A., you still got energy for the game," Andre Iguodala said. "Because you're in L.A., you're like, 'Man, this is just the vibe in L.A.' but in Utah, it can kind of lull you to sleep. And then you've slept too long or I'm bored out of my mind and now you got to try to pump yourself up for the game. You know you're in the playoffs and you're supposed to be pumped anyway, but the vibe is just like, 'Man, let's just get out of here.'"
You don't even play in L.A., dumbass.

There's plenty of nightlife if they want to go hit clubs in Park City. It's 20 minutes away. Please, by all means, stay out way too late and drink.

They have more guys who can man the 4 than they can play already. I think Casey's just running him out there for his D and hoping the shot comes back. He's killing them out there, but everybody's bricking.
