I'm not buying the IT2 hype until he wins like 3 rings and a couple of MVPs. And maybe not even then.
By livefromkyoto Go To PostGerald Green's hair should be a flagrant. No one said lethal. But he's objectively outplaying Val. And there's no reason to force it to be so.
I guess I'm not seeing how any of this adds up to the narrative of Greg Monroe: Deadly Threat. Casey hates running the offence through JV even when he starts.
We'll cherry pick the last 2 games
Game 4:
Val: 12 pts, 5/5fg, 5 reb, 1stl, 4 TOV, 4 fouls
Monroe: 14pts, 4/9fg, 9 reb, 1ast, 1stl, 2blk, 1tov, 1foul.
Game5:
Val: 8pts, 3/5fg, 7reb, 1ast, 2blk, 1tov, 3fouls
Monroe: 11pts, 3/4, 2reb, 2ast, 1stl, 4tov, 2fouls.
And Game 5 was Monroes worst by quite a wide margin. I just don't get why you'd bother playing Val, allowing Monroe to anchor a second unit and keep MIL in games.
Go small, force them to play Giannis at the 5 vs Ibaka or someone. Like, it's not hard to get Monroe off the court. Val's not doing enough to the point you'd say he's anchoring the unit of contributing enough to demand play time.

you don't have to buy it for it to be true...

There's a lot of bad facial hair in this series, you're going to have to narrow it down a bit.

STAHP
You're talking about the backup center of a team that just got dominated two games in a row. Greg Monroe scored 11 & 14 points in those games. The last game they lost by 25. That dude is not changing anything.
JV's still a useful big to have around, there's no value in alienating him for the sake of nullifying a non-factor in games where you're running the other team off the court. He's a good matchup for Tristan Thompson, you're going to need him in the 2nd round.
By Sho_Nuff82 Go To PostMarv Albert keeps calling Jerebko, Olynyk, even though both guys are in the game.He also called Morrow by Butler's name multiple times.
Racist.

The Bulls are drawing some horrendous foul calls for jumping into stationary defenders.

If Valanciunas' 22 minutes of not missing anything somehow allow backup C Greg Monroe to eliminate the Raptors, you can come back and say I told you so.

By diehard Go To PostKlay has been worse in the post-season every year except last year, when he was basically the same.
No? Klay has improved year on year in the postseason.
Like between our owner being a dick talking like he's guaranteeing promises, it was bearable in the first couple years. But after 2014-2015, and then getting Durant, and telling their loyal fanbase to fuck off in favor of SF. I don't think I can recover from the disappointment if that kind of meltdown happens two years in a row. After basically creating the best team this sport has seen, to fuck up again? I don't want to deal with that meltdown between the homers trying to convince themselves that these dudes just aren't shook.
I could deal with us losing because you didn't have those expectations. To lose again and become the equivalent of the Oakland As of the NBA will crush me.
By blackace Go To PostHarden didn't become that way over night and he needed a new coach to do so…
Yeah and he put in work to make that happen over the offseason. It wasn't just D'Antoni getting him to buy in, he himself had to do that. Russ needs to do the same thing with Donovan, or sack him for someone else since that's not working. The relationship between the two hasn't soured to the point of McHale and Harden yet. Their flaws go beyond just getting a complimenting roster, because right now there just isn't any direction whatsoever and YNB needs to be that change himself for shit to happen.
Change to coach and what, what offense is going to compliment Russ?
