The series changed at the exact point Casey brought Valanciunas off the bench to match up with Monroe (and yes, start Powell, that was big). It was the Giannis/Maker octopus frontline that was giving JV a hard time. Monroe had 2 boards and 4 TOs that last game.
Brooks has not been impressive. The Gortat and Jason Smith combo is CANCER. And he can't see it.

From what i've seen Val hasn't been great against Monroe at all. It seemed like Monroe was largely winning that matchup.
Playing a slow big vs Monroe seems to be a terrible idea. Because it keeps him on the court. You play small and fast. Monroe can't defend anything that moves faster than a slow walk.

I watched a bit of this Wiz series and Smith is a shell of his former self. :( He's slower and has less hustle than what I was used to seeing from him. He also bulked up a ton.
