I think it's absolutely amazing that this has permeated it's way into just about every thread PSY posts in .
By Switchpro Go To Postgood thing they moved the MVP thing to the offseason or we would have a weird Nowitzki situation again.Hakeem vs Robinson is more iconic.
Wiz are being fucked by the league. There's no way to get to Verizon by 6 without taking off work or leaving way early.
By livefromkyoto Go To PostIt's not that I think Phoenix is run by fools, it's that the market value is artificially low for some of their guys. If Tucker was contributing on a playoff team like Memphis or something he would have gone for more than 2 second rounders in the 50s. I'm sure Bledsoe could be had cheap too. I also kind of wonder if Brandon Knight could be a better player in the right situation. Are you ?
By knux-future Go To PostKnight is a walking L.Knight can't beat out Tyler Ullis for back up point guard minutes.
That is his fate.
He's one of those guys that has "all the tools" but never puts it together in a way that contributes to wins.
I was optimistic about Knight. It was wrong to be so.
By giririsss Go To PostAre you ?
Compared to what he'd be worth on a playoff team? Yeah. I'll believe the Eric Bledsoe bidding war when I see it.
It was Zupas that poisoned Hayward!

I just can't wait to see the self bidding war Toronto get into with Lowry.
By KingGondo Go To PostLol. Like you guys are winning shit.
Not all of us can exit stage to the right with a shiny trophy. Nothing says true winning more than that .
By Kibner Go To PostAye.Morey has done pretty good... until this year the Rockets really didn't have much of an identity
If you are at the point where that is necessary, you are looking at hoping you reach 50 wins over the course of three seasons.
Give me the Morey/Houston model. Compete while not over-committing to individual players and acquire assets of various value by hook or by crook.
He put D12 and Harden together in horrible mismatch that ended as expected and paid D12 60+ mil for it.
but he does try to build around his star with the draft and FA and he drafts pretty well... But I don't know if their is a real model to follow

He's struck lightening in a bottle here.
But there has been a lot of valid criticism for a long time.
Never forget Wizard Morey.
The one thing that tanking takes off the table, that the compete while treadmilling model doesn't, is trading for a undervalued player. You're probably just not going to have the pieces to snag someone.

But his saving grace is he is super willing to trade and tends not to over value picks or players he drafted
By blackace Go To PostPeople kind of act like Morey's first year he got Harden but this is his 10th year as a Rocket… Those KMart teams were pretty ugly.Yeah, I was talking about Morey from even before the Harden trade. They lost Yao and TMac but still fielded a credible team that had young guys with potential and not too many over-the-hill vets. The only bad contract I can remember was the Ariza one.

I Think the biggest knock is that Morey doens't know how to Roster build, just acrew talent.
There's a difference. And several players have noted it's why they haven't considered Houston. Not because Houston weren't interested, but because they wan't to be more than a collection of a dozen decimal places.

And it's more about the bad trades he makes and the amount of talent he had allowed to walk than bad signings

Gregg Popovich doesn't strike me as the kind of man to write out his full name in his signature.
It just isn't efficient.

Graceland is a euro trash magnet.
Going back to Morey the best thing he did for this current team was hire D'antoni and just gave into the strength of the roster instead of trying to starphuck. 2 years ago he was justifying his starphucking ways with analytics.
Was D'antoni some by product of that the plan or was the plan to hope for D'antoni's system to inflate the value of the team's roleplayers for a trade for another star?Idk but it worked.

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostOladipo is so terribleHorrific
By reilo Go To PostWho's "y'all"?
Last seven championships: Cavaliers, Warriors, Spurs, Heat, Heat, Mavericks, Lakers
Spurs and Cavaliers are the only ones that deliberately tanked to be who they are 20 and 14 years ago. C
Warriors deliberately tanked like no other team has in history to get Harrison Barnes. And that's not even counting their 90s and late 00s teams
Tanking can't overcome bad management and scouting.
Time for a reality check
By Switchpro Go To PostGraceland is a euro trash magnet. This is 10000% true
Its a good thing Presti already locked up Oladipo for 5 years. Wouldn't want a bidding war over that guy.
