Also, Joe Ingles may be the most technically correct defender in the league.
Not the best defender.
Just ... always makes the right decision on where to put his arms. Either up vertically, or no where near the player trying to shoot.

I wish Hayward and Gobert had one more night to recover. I bet Gobert is going to be awfully sore tomorrow.

Seven time all-star and Hall of Famer Joe Johnson.
I know we still can't win this, and i know sometime in the next couple games we are gonna have people screaming "CHOKE!" or whatever but that was fun. We needed some experience in close playoffs games and have gotten it.
Favors was great tonight when he didn't have to play 38 fucking minutes. Great pick and roll defense on CP3 and 17 points.

Why would anyone scream choke?

Wouldn't it be better off that you win this game despite that, than be down 3-1 going back to LA and being even more frustrated.
Gobert will be fine. His first postseason he isn't going to give that up that quick, that experience is everything

Imagine if the NBA didn't "freeze the envelope" and Memphis actually got to have a starting roster of Mike Miller, Lebron, Pau Gasol, Kendrick Perkins and Jason Williams instead of losing their pick to be wasted on Darko.
How different would the NBA be if that happened instead?
Blowing game 3 hurts so bad right now. Though had we been facing a desperate Clippers team down 2-1 going into tonight, things could have been different.
Thoughts on Hoiberg's comments about Thomas getting away with double dribbles? The video seems to back him up, but it's not like that hasn't been rampant in the league for years now.

What happened then that was before I was born. You're talking about the year of 1985 right?

I see the freezing envelope phrase here as slang all the time for rigging the draft so I thought that was a correct use. I am not sure what to say anymore. What is the equivalent for ping pong?
Should I just say rig draft...?

Westbrook has a mild tantrum during the presser.
The guy's question was basically "Steven, just how bad do you and all your teammates suck without Russell?" Westbrook shut that down, but the Houston reporter got his back up and kept pressing it like he was going to win a prize. Credit to Westbrook for standing out in front and taking all the arrows while George tosses his teammates in front of them like human shields.

Nah. Fuck that.
He's a reporter, there's an explicit trend there. It's his job to ask a question. He asked it in a PC way, and needs a line for his article.
Russ wanted to throw a tanty and hide all the stat sheets.
And Adams is a big boy who can speak for himself.
He just needed a simple one line PC reply, "gotta be better, gotta be more active". etc.
Reporter wasn't going for a pullitzer. Y'all stretchin by reaching for the reporter.
he asked the question, got an answer
then tried to make a scene when he didn't get the answer he wanted
it was plain unprofessional for a guy wearing that particular kind of badge. he's not an investigative journalist, he's just one of another 2-3 dozen present for the presser. ask your question, move on. he was absolutely gunning for a scene - didn't get it, then tried to stir shit and make a scene with the person(s) behind the mic. its not his job to CREATE one. ever. journalism 101
ethically he's plain wrong.
i guarantee he's that's not the first time someone's dodged a question on him before. he might get nothing more than a slap on the wrist but that's how you get your badge snatched.

It was a okc reporter
Berry Tramel is one of our better local reporters (damning with faint praise) but he and Russ have a history. He's the one who got into this verbal tussle with Russ last year.
I see both sides: Tramel needed a quote and having Adams there was a good opportunity to get one since usually it's Russ up there by himself.
That said, Russ was protecting Steven and his entire team by stepping in front of the question. Anything Steve said could have been misconstrued or taken poorly by his teammates.
The question boiled down to: "Steven, the team craters when Russ isn't on the floor, why is that?" Come on. You're either gonna get a bland non answer or Steve is gonna undermine his trust with his teammates by being honest as he usually is.
Add in the emotion of a close playoff loss at home and it's understandable how Russ reacted.

The question was dumb. Everyone knows the answer. But the OKC media is straight trash so the team should have been coached on how to answer it.
I'm sure Steve would have handled it fine, and Russ knows what answer would appease the media.
But respect to him for standing up for his team.

Cool vid of Draymond switching onto all five (e: or four out of five if you don't consider the drop into a soft triple team after the initial action as him guarding that player) opponents on a single possession.
I can't stand the dude, but things like that is why it's a close race between him and Gobert for DPotY.

Steven Adams should have to explain how NeNe dropped 28 on him
