Why does Coach Stevens hate giving him minutes though?

Going to be awkward if we sign Hayward the max and don't do the same for IT2

Based on what? Is Kobe ahead of him in anything except rings-earned-by-Shaq?

Dan Patrick said of the Finals, "It feels like who you'd not like to root for less."
Totally agree, my man.

Lebron James is probably going down as the best player to ever play this sport. I know guys like Patrick need to spit out hot takes or the cheques stop cashing, but it's pretty much an insult to the game to hate on the guy at this point. I mean, aside from the tackiness of The Decision™ it's not like he hasn't met any reasonable standard for being a decent human being for a person in his position, either.
Same goes for Steph - he makes douchey faces but he's got a 99% chance of ending up as the best pure shooter of all time. How can someone complain about watching these guys go head to head and still say they like/care about the sport?
Fuck Draymond for real though.

They make fun of the the hot take aspect of covering sports all the time. He was talking more about how the general public feels, and I agree. Aside from bandwagoners, I can't find many people who really care about a team winning, they'd rather just see one or the other team lose. I kind of want to see Lebron pull it off again. I'm not a fan of this superteam nonsense, and his is the lesser of the two superteams here.

It's just hard to cheer for anybody in this Finals. They were unchallenged and this was the expected outcome all year long.
Steph could retire today and most people will consider him the greatest shooter of all time. Him shattering all the career 3pt records are a formality at this point; people don't need to wait for that to accept what they already know right now.
As for LeBron, he may or may not go down as the greatest ever (pretty much regardless of what he does, it will be an eternal argument), but he will absolutely be considered an anomaly of talent and physical mastery the likes of which basketball has never seen. LeBron may not be greater than Jordan, but he's probably a better basketball player than Jordan.

Lebron doesn't have the charisma that Michael did, I don't see the same kind of cult of personality around him. But I'd bet that a majority of people watching fall into the "bandwagoner" camp. People like rooting for winners.

Anybody can Tiger Woods themselves.
