By reilo Go To PostKlay averaged 18PPG on 38FG%. He broke 20 points once in 4 games.
How is that "outplaying" anyone? If this shit was reversed you'd be making my argument and talking Game 1 and 3.
Because FG% for a guy who so much on 3's is dumb for starters.
He didn't' get out played. That doesn't mean he put CJ through the ringer for the whole series either.
The core of your argument is that the 4th option, who shot 18ppg on similar efficiency to his opponent, was completely outplayed by his opponent who made 4ppg more.
Where one was a 3rd / 4th option. The other the 1a/1b.
I Mean.................... yeah. Nah. CJ didn't outplay Klay for the series.

Reilo moving the goal post like shit lol

I didn't move shit. My point is that Klay is dispensable. Name one other team in the league that can withstand their All-Star SG playing subpar and sweep a series convincingly?
Klay Thompson wingspan - 6'10"
JJ Redick wingspan - 6'3"

I don't think he is making a direct comparison of Klay vs JJ. Just saying that if you trade out Klay for JJ.. the Warriors are still 8-0. Which is true.

The Warriors are most likely 8-0 without KD or even Green..

But Kevin Love was.. and he is basically their 3rd option... and playing below his season stats in the playoffs
By blackace Go To PostThe Warriors are most likely 8-0 without KD or even Green..Maybe. I actually don't believe that , I think the Jazz definitely win game 3 with no KD.
Both KD and Green's stats are making you say " well that's why it was a blowout" .. Klays aren't really doing that imo.
Not that it really matters yet.. Klay doesn't need to play that well anyway. He might not need to all playoffs.
By reilo Go To PostI liked you better as a poster when you weren't the Draymond of the group.
So basically I'm a vital cog in the success of slaent and the best defensive poster here?

Probably but the benefit of having Klay is the ability to switch and swarm. You don't get that with Redick (especially next to Curry) which I think changes their defensive scheme. Curry's going to have to defend the point guards that Klay usually picked up
Maybe they're 8-0 but it would probably be a smaller margin

It is really hard to say... because it is not as easy as just removing KD stats you gotta figure other players get more shots..
They might have dropped one who is to say.. But there is just as good as chance that they are 8-0 now all the same..

He is playing a role.. and he accepts it and he is good at it.. Not like when Love pouted over his role at first in Cle..

By diehard Go To PostThis is a confusing argument of how crappy it is to have teams this dominant vs how good Klay isI thought my point was pretty clear but it turns out Klay is a cherished treasure or something.
6-0 run? how the fuck is it a 6-0 run if the spurs literally just scored Reggie
edit - wait Kawhi missed that layup?

You are undervaluing what Klay brings to the GSW.

The entire Spurs team refusing to take a shot before the block that led to the transition 3 is part of the reason why they will lose if they keep playing like this.
By xnipx Go To PostSwitch Klay and CJ which team got better which team got worse?
Same with the Clippers and Redick
Or Hornets with Batum
By noonecares Go To PostOh fuck didn't know ginobili still had that in him
Ginobili can dunk but Kawhi can't and ends up wiffing on a layup.
Spurs ain't got no heart. Ginobili tried to turn back the clock before the half, but he can't keep that up. Need someone to show some emotion, and it ain't gonna be Kawhi.

This is what Spurs defense looks like with LMA as your anchor instead of Timmy.
By blackace Go To PostI don't understand how this Spurs team won so much.. everything about them is odd..Disciplined system play with disciplined guys and an MVP level player.
It's what has made the Spurs regular winners for decades, when they aren't necessarily contenders.

But stats about them makes no sense... like giving up the most uncontested corner 3s and shooting the least 3s in the NBA doesn't seem like the plan for winning in today's NBA
By pkaz01 Go To PostFinally a close game..Too early to call. Game 2 was only a 5 poiint game going into the 4th quarter....
