There's so many ways to solve the first round issues. Everything from a BYE round for 1st seeds, to re-seeding and eliminating conference playoffs.

As a fan it's way better to have 7 game series. If your team has finally made it over the hump & gotten into the playoffs it sucks if it's all over in 6 days.

I feel like the Lowry injury is going to be the perfect excuse for this team to sort of idle around for another year.

Had a BBQ party for my band that I went up to St. Jude's with. It was good.
My mom wanted to help out when I mentioned I was hosting it. She asked me how many people were coming. I said 4-8. She made enough food for 16. Spaghetti, potato salad, burgers, chicken quarters, pork & beans, sausage, hot dogs, bread sticks.
I also cooked some chuck eye (?) steaks. They were like $5 a pound and came out real well. I haven't grilled a steak in a few years, but the Texas gal said it was good. So, I'm happy with that.
Now I'm trying to watch the end of this game without passing out.

I think they re-sign Lowry because they need to keep the asset and losing him gets you nothing...but I really hope they don't just sit on their hands there because you can't just pretend the injury is an outlier. I can understand losing this series, but 3 blowouts and a sweep makes a statement. They're not as close as they need to be.
Fortunately, Ujiri's been pretty proactive about making changes in his time here. DeRozan, Lowry, & JV (and to a lesser extent Patterson) have been the only constants. But I don't know what move there is out there to get better than Lebron.

That may be true, but with the way your team has shot, does Pop beat the Cavs right now coaching this roster? I don't think anybody but Golden State has the horses if they're going to play at this level.
