What are the odds TP just hangs it up?
He's 34, just had a no-contact knee injury and has been in decline for a few seasons now. It would also free up a lot of cap for SA to chase a guard in FA.

By diehard Go To PostHe won't pass up $15M, and retired players still count against the cap.Depends if it's voluntary retirement or medical retirement. Medical Retirement counts against the cap, but I don't think voluntary does. He'd basically forfeit his salary at that point which I don't think he'd do that.

They could buy it out for less though..
By DY_nasty Go To Postwe really gonna pretend that kawhi ain't drag all these bums this far by himself? No one said he wasn't a beast but we aren't pretending he was asked to play point tho
This isn't the East where a single GOAT-level player can drag a bunch of bums to the conference finals.
By masud Go To PostHe's about to do it againShit the Rockets aren't a weak roster.
By s y Go To PostHarden did it in 2015Dwight was LEGIT that playoff run. People really undersell what he brought to that team when engaged and healthy.
And Harden didn't do it in Game 6 vs Clippers lol
Harden was benched in game 6 of the Clippers series with the Rockets down 3-2.
And then Josh Smith and Corey Brewer happened...
George Hill is out tonight with... toe soreness.
I'm sorry, what.
Maybe this is worse than it sounds... But this sounds insanely soft.

Your toe being hurt is actually quite a big deal. It's super painful to play through and your big toe plays a huge role in your balance and ability to actually fully utilize your foot. If you think that's soft then you've been listening to Byron Scott too long.

Maybe you're right. I haven't played basketball with toe soreness really ever. It's just frustrating.

By IWMTB19 Go To PostMaybe you're right. I haven't played basketball with toe soreness really ever. It's just frustrating.Shaq played with a turf toe one season during his Lakers run and everyone labeled him "soft" because they heard "hurt toe???", but toes exist for a reason lol. Try pushing off with your foot without your toes being your first planted movement and see what happens.
By IWMTB19 Go To PostMaybe you're right. I haven't played basketball with toe soreness really ever. It's just frustrating. It affects your ability to move around and explosiveness a lot. It's like aging 10 years or more.

I mean Dirk did back in 2011. Can make a case for 07 Lakers.
I'm having serious reservations about giving Hill a big contract, even if we have no good alternative. I'd be pissed if i thought this was a series we could win.
By Kuma Go To PostI mean Dirk did back in 2011. Can make a case for 07 Lakers.Tyson Chandler was not a bum in that Finals run.
Jason Kidd, Shawn Marion, Caron Butler and Peja played the perfect veteran roles.
Were they in their prime? No, but neither was Dirk.

Wait, 2007 Lakers? They got bounced in the first round. 2008 Lakers? They had prime Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom. What is this?
By masud Go To PostHe's about to do it againAlso true. But theyll keep moving the goalposts.
Anyways, itll be funny to see George Hill play 70+ games for the Spurs next season.
By masud Go To PostHe's about to do it againHe's got a ways to go then, given that he's the second leading scorer for the Rockets in the second round thus far:
9FGM over two games. lol.

Capela? Really? Smh. Try harder.
By s y Go To PostCapela? Really? Smh. Try harder.Yea, agreed, Harden has to try harder if Capela is outscoring him on 12 less FGA.

By s y Go To PostCapela? Really? Smh. Try harder. He isn't making EG or Lou better... but let's use Capela as the benchmark
By reilo Go To PostYea, agreed, Harden has to try harder if Capela is outscoring him on 12 less FGA.I don't agree with the point that started this discussion, but Capela had the third highest FG% in the regular season largely from playing with the assist leader in Harden. Of course he's going to be more efficient.
I'll take 1-1 and Harden's 21 misses over something like 0-2 and Westbrook's 43 misses.

What does that have to do with anything?
By Trey Go To PostDo the Jazz cover tonight? No George Hill
By reilo Go To PostNo George Hill
You dont believe in Exum or Shelvin Mack? 'ism
By Kibner Go To PostAhahahah, this Wizards run.20-0 run 😐
Clearly the solution is make the rest of the team beat you. Let's see if we can keep it up for 4 quarters.
