By diehard Go To Postwait so thats an official FS1 thing? what? The tag line is 'pick a side' I'm pretty sure the other side of the car is filled with syphon like optimism. Pretty good campaign honestly since Knick fans are almost always staunchly split 50/50 about something.

I was one of the people who was totally cool with BI being included in the package to land PG this summer. Every game that passes in which he plays like garbage just makes me more and more upset.
Man this Lakers team looks just like last year. Sloppy turnovers, guards inability to penetrate (aside from Clarkson), and spotty passing. Ingram looks like garbage, he couldn't get by anyone last night and his defense was incredibly lazy.
All I have is Kuzma.

The starting lineup (especially without Bropez) is like a singularity with strong gravitational forces pulling everything in. We lost Lou and Young and swapped D'lo for Bropez but he hasn't played yet. It's like the paint is the event horizon. Ingram has to step his game up and start hitting shots. So far he's looked good for a quarter of basketball in each game. KCP and Randle both chuck bricks. It's pretty crazy to me that this is what they've given Lonzo to work with for his rookie year. Near zero perimeter shooting ...
Fuck if we traded BI for PG and I assume Randle was also part of that deal, our starting lineup could be Ball, PG, Kuzma, Nance and Bropez.

Ingramh as 24 shots, 4 turnovers, and 1 assist in 2 games. He is shooting sub 35%. I think Luke/Magic instilled this alpha mentality in him and he just isn't there yet. I still would've preferred to keep Russell, but that is neither here nor there. I think KCP will be fine, his second game was a big improvement over his first.
I really hope Bropez helps with our spacing because it is pretty much negative at this point.
i would laugh heartily if the Lakers tanked for years only to end up with their best draft pick coming at #27.

Those numbers are about what I would expect if you're only playing well 25% of a game for two games. His first game he scored 9 in the first quarter and that was it. Similar results last night. You've got more faith in KCP than I do. His career shooting #'s aren't really great and through the first two games he looked awful from range. I'm fine with the Russell move, but actually giving Ball a quality two guard to work with like PG seems like a better idea than clinging to the hope that BI becomes anything, really. Why move Russell and draft PG if you're going to cling to BI. Especially when you're hoping BI becomes 1/2 the player PG is for the same position.
Lakers haven't had any rhythm and for the most part this is their first time playing with real point guards in two years. Yal are gonna suck for entirely different reasons.

Really though, a PG isn't going to make Randle have an actual jumpshot or play defense. A PG isn't going to teach Ingram how to get around defenders. These are the same problems as last year. I was excited to see growth, but I haven't seen anything to get excited about in the first two games.

Every time Randie dribbles your team breathes deep of shit. Ingram isn't an iso player and may never will be, a point guard will set him up - but young players need to learn HOW to be set up. Guys like Nance in particular have their growth stunted by lack of conventional PG play.
Ingram bounces off everyone man, looks awful imo. Him driving makes me hold me breath. Scarily frail appearance.
Idk even know how people see him becoming an elite defender. Looks like Norris Cole can bull him.

Ingram isn't a catch and shoot guy and Randle has no range. I've noticed even when Ingram is open he always dribbles at least once, either making him take a bad shot or passing to someone who isn't in position anymore. It's really odd. His feet also look really slow.

Watching him trying to backdown Gary Harris yesterday was brutal.
Getting set up doesn't mean catch and shoot. The guy controls zero space at any given moment on the court, he needs someone to direct the offense until he's in position to take advantage.

Not 100% doom and gloom, just throwing around some scorching hot takes right now. What else are message boards good for?

I see what you're saying, but if you "cornerstone" can't even take and make easy catch and shoot points we have bigger problems. I was using that as a bare minimum requirement of the dude.

Our bench has outscored our starting lineup in both of our games so far. I personally would just like for Ball to have one outlet pass that isn't a brick making machine.
Instead, two captains – the leading fan vote-getter from the East and leading fan vote-getter from the West – will select players for their squad regardless of conference affiliation.YESS
It looks like the starters/reserves will still get voted on by conference, with the starters required to be picked first.
But past the starters all the East players are gonna be picked after everyone in the West.
