By KingGondo Go To PostWoke up this morning and Paul George is a member of the Thunder. That's cool.Congrats Gondo! I'm happy for you.
I wish Indy would have traded PG to the Nets
If you were gonna give him away for free you could have at least fucked over Boston

By Switchpro Go To PostCongrats Gondo! I'm happy for you. Thanks! Might try to buy a half-season package with a friend at this point.
By domino Go To PostSo basically the Pacers cared more about shipping PG to a worse place than Indianapolis, than actually making an intelligent basketball trade
Right
Didn't know professional petty was a thing.
Spurs are not making moves to win this year, but the next.
The worst timeline.
Steff's contract is the kind of stuff that leads to lockouts.
Paul Millsap meeting with the Wolves today.
Still have zero shooting on this squad and Millsap doesn't fix that, but okay, I guess.

Millsap is a pretty good shooting off of midrange isos.
But he's an inconsistent three point shooter.

By IWMTB19 Go To PostSteph is still probably underpaid by $20m to $30m a year.Yep. Easily could make 70 mil per year if the league had no max salaries
It's a lot easier to make all-star teams and all-NBA when you're in the East. Setting up for that crazy max contract when he's a free agent again in three years.
By Omzz Go To Post
Need the contract info asap
I'll be really bummed if PJ doesn't come back. That turnaround last season doesn't happen without him at all.
Shit like this bullshit PG13 trade, is why the EC is a joke, the executives are fucking disgraceful. Flip Oladipo into PG, are you fucking kidding me?
Congrats to Gondo though, the WC is gon get that work.
The trade was genius. Even if PG 13 walks, you're still out from under paying Victor $21M for the next 4 years.

By Stern Go To PostSo if the Lakers time their signings right to take full advantage of Bird rights, they could start 2018 with
Ball
Westbrook
George
Randle
Bropez
Forget Utah, that team could come for the Warriors.
Just hoping PG13 can pull off his covert recruitment operation.
no it can't.
Congrats Gondo.
Pretty disappointing how scared the EC is of taking chances. Having every top 15 player in the west other than LeBron is a fucking joke

I think EC teams want to take chances, they are just so fucked in every other aspect, where they can't afford ANOTHER setback. Celtics are their own animal though, Ainge is just a scrub.

i'd love to get him back here in DC
By Marc J. SpearsAfter Nene discovered could only sign a three-year, $10.9 million deal instead of the four-year, $15 million he initially agreed upon with the Houston Rockets, he has returned to the open market.
Nene can only sign a three-year deal due to the over-38 rule.
I have never heard of the over-38 rule. Sounds...ageist and not legal.
By knux-future Go To PostESPN was always going to hold Woj back; he was dying to drop bombs but had to talk on TV.Stein and Ramona always manage to break a lot of news there.
By the way, what a shame it is that Woj had ESPN get rid of Stein. Dude is one of the best.

By s y Go To Postwait, really? It really seems that way. There's been some real speculation about it and it's the only explanation that makes sense to me given ESPN's new mandate of being the leader in breaking news. They also completely fucked Stein over by not buying him out. He can't go work anywhere unless he's able to get out of the last two years of his ESPN deal.

But if ESPN is indeed moving in that direction, laying off Marc Stein makes no sense. Stein has been with ESPN since the early 2000s, and practically built its NBA coverage. I have never heard a single person, inside or outside of ESPN, say a bad word about him. Alongside Wojnarowski, he is the NBA’s foremost news-breaker, with deep connections within the league and huge stories every year. If the mandate is to break news, what possible reason could there be to fire Stein other than Wojnarowski not wanting a longtime rival around?

They also terminated Marc Stein, who has long been Wojnarowski’s biggest competitor. Stein is a prodigious reporter in his own right, and many within the company have expressed dismay at his departure. Given that it seems like the network is shifting toward breaking news and scoops, there’s only one logical explanation for laying off Stein: ESPN’s suits feel it’s important to have Wojnarowski be the unquestioned leader of their NBA scoop machine.
By Omzz Go To PostHe was able to be productive for us last season because of how he was managed. Harrell took over his minutes on back to backs, but with Montrezl gone, I didn't know how Nene would cope with a higher workload.
Whatever the case, Capela's going to need to learn how to play more minutes because our depth is looking pretty bare right now. Might not matter when D'Antoni shortens his rotations in the post season, but it definitely matters when you've got bodies like Anderson/Gordon/Paul (and an aging Ariza) to nurse through an entire regular season.

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostIts funny that Porter is a second option behind Reddick for Philly and Brooklyn.Porter is not the second choice, it's just that everyone assumes that you guys are going to match so they're exploring other options.
Like… If you're more interested in an old vet shooter then maybe you should save your max. Just a thought.
As a matter of fact Porter would start for us while JJ would come off the bench. Our positions of greatest need are at the 3 and 4.
