So basically the Pacers cared more about shipping PG to a worse place than Indianapolis, than actually making an intelligent basketball trade

MORE INTEREST IN MCLEMORE!?
I can only think of a couple reasons why you'd chase Ben Mclemore:
-kings can't develop talent: assumption that Sacramento is a garbage heap and he might be worth a look once he gets real support.
-bidding will stay low: little competition for him likely will be cheap contract
-Head trauma: sometimes after moderate to severe head trauma, one's decision making skills may be compromised.

McLemore is only 24. That means he's the exact player you reach for in hopes of getting a Billups esque find
He also has all the tools to be a good player. Still don't know how he busted so hard really. Must be a space cadet.

By diehard Go To PostIm not some fool, you can't get my hopes up. I'm already prepared for the tweet.
Gordon staying. Dont have to worry yourself.
McLemore looks like everyone's mental image of a good shooting guard
which is clearly more important than actually being a good shooting guard

By WojMasai Ujiri has "toyed with the idea of going young" as the Toronto Raptors enter free agency.
Ujiri has been discussing their options with ownership about whether to re-sign some combination of Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka, Patrick Patterson and Serge Ibaka.
The fact that Paul George has left the Eastern Conference by being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder instead of the Boston Celtics perhaps is shaping the Raptors calculus.
Uh...what does this mean?
Trade DeKobe for some picks and young players. Start Powell
Myers is the fucking GOAT, no player option and not including a no trade clause

It means that the East is a raging dumpster fire and Raps have a comfortable path to a 50 win season if they brought everybody back.
Why is that a forgone conclusion that he gets a max offer? Seems to me the Nets prefer Reddick at this point. Hope they get him and we wreck Otto with an MLE deal.

Thank you for the interest, JJ, but we can't match that.
So if the Lakers time their signings right to take full advantage of Bird rights, they could start 2018 with
Ball
Westbrook
George
Randle
Bropez
Forget Utah, that team could come for the Warriors.
Just hoping PG13 can pull off his covert recruitment operation.

Well
Jesus I picked the wrong career.
If Ainge doesn't get Hayward and the Nets sign anyone decent to push them over 30 wins (devaluing next year's pick), this might be one of the worst off-seasons in Eastern conference history.
By Stern Go To PostWhat if Ainge just wants to use his draft picks in the draft?
Is Danny asking Cs fans fresh off of a division title to trust the process?
By Forever Go To PostDude is 33.I think his game will age pretty well. I wouldn't go four years, but I don't see a three year deal as a gamble. (So Thibs definitely offered a fourth year.)
Its funny that Porter is a second option behind Reddick for Philly and Brooklyn.
Like... If you're more interested in an old vet shooter then maybe you should save your max. Just a thought.

I would rather pay Hill or Lowry 4 years/ 80 than give Jru that kind of money, but I guess this is the new normal.

The thing is New Orleans needs a "maybe you'll kind of want him in a package" salary that can be moved for a third star. Trading his salary is the only way that happens, so the extension makes sense.
The 5 year thing is just bad on all accounts though. That's too long a commitment.

McLemore is definitely a player Wallace would want unfortunately. Doesnt matter if you suck as long as you look the part and went to Kansas.
Thibs is going to give Andrew Wiggins a max contract next summer and he is literally the worst defender in the league.
I can't believe this is happening to me.

Like, shouldn't JJ have been in the conversation for this team? Maybe Iggy?
Fuck, trade Jru straight up for CP3 if you want to make the team interesting.

Rodeo you don't get to complain this much when your team is finally heading back to the playoffs and you have two players who are top 5 at their positions.
By Sho_Nuff82 Go To PostLike, shouldn't JJ have been in the conservation for this team? Maybe Iggy?Unless Redick wanted the MLE or a sign and trade, Pels couldn't get him. Same with Iggy.

Jrue was a UFA so I don't believe they would have been able to trade him for anything worthwhile.
Dell is only savvy at deals on the margins. Anything to deal with big money and he is clueless.
By Kibner Go To Post5/20 and 4/22 I would have been ok with, as I said earlier. 5/25 is too much.
There are incentives to push it to $150m too, it's insanity
By pilonv1 Go To PostThere are incentives to push it to $150m too, it's insanityIf he hits those incentives, then that money is worth it. I don't see him hitting those incentives.
I guess I should note that incentives in a typical Demps contract is shit like making an All-NBA or All-Star team, MVP, DPotY, etc.
So, yeah, if Jrue meets those incentives in the West, he'll probably be underpaid. But he's not gonna meet them.
