2018 Lakers with George should definitely be able to make a run at Utah.
If he brings YNB with him, it'll be interesting to see how a Ball/Westbrook backcourt can operate.

By diehard Go To Postif you want to recruit someone, don't send the bargain bin version of what they already play with.
By livefromkyoto Go To PostJohn Wall's amazing. John Wall does not affect as many elements of the game at a high impact level as Giannis does. He was a one-man force of nature in that playoff series and he's only 22.Like giving it to the Raptors is some sort of accomplishment.
The guy literally led his team in every major category last season.
That is amazing. The nets should go pick up more dudes and go compete to be in the playoffs. Go fuck over Boston Celtics some more.
By s y Go To PostJohn Wall dominated on both ends and actually won a series. GIannis ain't there yet. He couldn't even beat Toronto and that's basicaly the Ginyu force.
Toronto was a conference finals team the previous season and came back with a better roster. Wall is not out there regularly leading his team in rebounding, scoring, steals, assists, blocks, anchoring the post and flying out to the 3 point line.
I know none of you watched that series because I was in these threads talking to myself like a crazy person when they were on. No GM would trade Giannis for Wall. It would be insane. Trust me, he's got next.

Windhorst says the Lakers could offer Iggy a one year deal worth more than 17 million
Does Portland have any cap space? I thought they'd make a play for Iggy or try to offload one of the Turner/Crabbe contracts.
By Branduil Go To PostThe NBA really does need to get rid of conferences though. Just seed 1-16 and be done with it.
I feel like this offseason will be the point where they do it.
These are your East All Stars, while the West is fighting over every single spot and fucking with everyone's salary.
Kristaps

Lebron
Kevin Love

I'm fine with any 1 year deal.
All our signings last year should have been 1-2 year deals, even if we had to overpay for trash players. We did that anyway, but for 4 years.

So who lost worse? The Bulls for Butler or the Pacers for PG? I say the Bulls because they ended up with Kris Dunn

D'tective is going to make the All Star team most likely.

Love Giannis. He's going to be that guy. His outside shot becomes consistent he's literally Durant, but probably with more of an edge. He's going to be a top 5 guy.
He just isn't right now. This next season could be HUGE gor giannis though. 5th season, established, seems like the team is starting to find their roles. Bucks could be a top 4 seed out east. Hell, Giannis wouldn't be surprising as an MVP.
By KingGondo Go To PostJeff Teague is not that good.He sucks.
By Stern Go To PostD'tective is going to make the All Star team most likely.
ESPN's Ian Begley said the Knicks are looking for a veteran point guard to groom rookie Frank Ntilikina, and added that George Hill is a target.Hill would be a great option, the home run would be not massively overpaying Jrue.
The Jazz probably knew that Hill's demand would be too high, so they went ahead and traded for Ricky Rubio. Hill has already been heavily linked to the Spurs, so this could turn into a bidding war. New York would be an ideal landing spot for Hill to produce for his fantasy owners, but it's unclear if the interest is mutual.
Jrue Holiday will meet with the Knicks if he doesn't agree to a deal with the Pelicans at the start of free agency according to Ian Begley of ESPN.
In case you missed it, Holiday is expected to meet with the Pelicans right away on Saturday morning and then sleep on his decision to re-sign with New Orleans. The Knicks can have about $15 million in cap space if they renounce the rights to Derrick Rose, so they can make a competitive offer. In addition to the Knicks, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune said he's hearing that the Pacers could be an option as well.
People are saying Jrue Holiday is getting a max deal, and Teague the better player between those two. Seems fair to me in this market.
