Btw, Jason Williams out 6+ months. Pretty serious injury.

By Michael GrangeIt says all you need to know about why the New York Knicks are well into their second decade as an NBA gong show that there is even a smidgen of belief within their eco-system that they can coax Masai Ujiri to save their sorry franchise.
The arrogance. The ignorance.
But what else would you expect from the NBA’s flagship franchise for dysfunction?
This won’t be an issue for the Raptors. As a source close to MLSE ownership told me Wednesday morning: “Don’t even waste your time on this.”
The only thing worth noting about the whole thing is that the Knicks— more specifically their screwed-up Peter Pan, rich kid owner James Dolan— would identify the Raptors president as his preferred choice to replace the deposed Phil Jackson as team president.

By The Frankman Go To Post… LESS???
Let's be real, Phil would have been fired for accepting this trade, and Doc turned it down.
By IWMTB19 Go To PostGordon, no, plz.
What about Ricky Rubio, Gordon.
setting up an excuse to bail?
you never pay market value for george hill
Ruh roh SWERVE. Apparently not all those players listed in KingGondo's post are going to the Clips. Houston is trying to do another trade in the next few days per Windhorst.
We live in a world in which the Rockets could plausibly get Chris Paul and Paul George, and I still think the Warriors would be favored against them.
The Dubs losing Iggy could go a long way toward making that different though.

Anyway, McLemore is a historic bust.

drafting is hard
McLemore couldn't do anything other than shoot and jump in college and never got better so this isn't that surprising of a bust honestly.
By domino Go To PostCongrats Knicks.
who gonna be the new blame point for why yall continue to be a circus.
Why are laker fans out there casting shade right now?
You know exactly where phil is heading....
funniest thing is magic might have already commited a fireable offense that could set the franchise back a decade and he had the job for like two months
i don't love ball as a prospect at all and moving D'Lo, who wasn't great but still had potential, for cap space for a player who ends up never playing for you would be...
bad.

Chandler Parsons is back in Memphis visiting a kid’s camp. Says he’s totally pain free, working out 4-5 hours a day.

shading Knicks fans is a basketball past time.
People forget, the Rockets biggest problem in the play offs was that their offense was stalled when got to focus on just one team for 4 + games.
It just became so predictable and easy to defend. Houston genuinely struggled to break 100 pts in the series vs the spurs. And the spurs were dead men walking outside Kawahi.
The CP3 trade makes more sense than most think.
Not sure it addresses their BIGGEST need.

He’s quickly become one of the most disliked Grizzlies players in Memphis history. Fans turned on him fast - the massive deal, the perceived lack of concern about the fact he wasn’t able to start the season healthy after a supposedly-less-serious knee surgery. But he hasn’t given them a reason to care - the fact that he doesn’t, and actively continues not to (hello, rehab in L.A.), fit into the idea of what this era of Grizzlies basketball has been about, hurts his cause. The bevy of TMZ stories of various actresses and Instagram models connected to Parsons flood the senses of ornery Memphis fans. Living the life of the wealthy NBA player on social media without being an actually good NBA player tends to piss people off.
ESPECIALLY Grizzlies fans. The fact that, after a massive jersey sale, it was mainly Parsons jerseys left hanging in the team store is evidence of that.
By RATHasReturned Go To PostPhil and Irving get along again? Until then? NONot sure Irving is the Phil Connection in that front office.
By giririsss Go To PostNot sure it addresses their BIGGEST need. For the Warriors to break up?
By Jeff-DSA Go To PostFor the Warriors to break up?Well. Yeah. But that's the same for the whole NBA.
Houstons biggest need is a versatile mobile big that can stay healthy, and finish.
I think Blake, as the secondary ball handler, would have been amazing in Houston. Would have really set the bar amazingly high.
If they then landed PG13 after getting blake?
By Smokey Go To Postthe hate some people have here is crazy. I personally don't hate him nor do I get upset I just don't believe he is ever going to be healthy.
On radio Shelbirn is saying Houston is trying for Melo. Could you imagine if Melo jumped from NY to go to a coach he hate s lol
Damn, so Melo still on the block? And here people were talking shit that Dolan did this to protect Melo.
Nope.
Nope.

Nope.
By Forever Go To PostHahahahahaha Melo and D'Antoni together again.
I genuinely don't think this will happen. And if it does, it'll be no different than Shaq on the Suns. Melo will slow the entire team down. He'd be a terrible fit :\
His only genuine fit is Cavs, unfortunately.
By reilo Go To PostI mean if anything this was to protect KP.
I agree. But Will Cain was going off about how Melo wah-wah'd and babied his way to forcing PJ out. And that Stephen A managed to horde a mafia against Phil. LOL. FOH, Cain, you fool.
By Omzz Go To PostThis is a huge relief. I doubt Melo gets traded but atleast we know he isn't in the future plans.
By reilo Go To PostI mean if anything this was to protect KP.I'm pretty sure it was Dolan not wanting to put 50 million dollars in a trash can and light it on fire.

He'd probably be an upgrade at both ends and a great fit for the wiz.
Not sure I'm trying to give up anything of value though lol
By masud Go To PostThis is a huge relief. I doubt Melo gets traded but atleast we know he isn't in the future plans.Every fan knows KP is the future. Nobody thought Carmelo was (what 30+ player is?). The issue was Phil pushing to buy him out, which Dolan was never going to entertain.

People know that Joakim Noah is still due 18/18/19 for the next 3 years, right?
Naw the chance that this was a Melo/CAA lead coup was there. It's impossible to know what's going on with the Knicks with the amount of irrational actors involved.
By The Frankman Go To PostPeople know that Joakim Noah is still due 18/18/19 for the next 3 years, right?
Noah's contract really should be irrelevant because the Knicks should still be focused on developing youth rather than free agency but again who knows what they're gonna do.
Dolan wasn't "the perfect" owner under phil. The first 6 months there phil several times had open conflict with dolan goons in the organisation that were trying to implement Dolan's agenda from afar.
Phil spent a lot of his tenure firing and replacing Dolan goons.
It's like with the Kings. The place has been a shit show for so long, there are so many many factions inside the FO/organisation that are just based around keeping their jobs / influence that it will take a genuinely strong GM team years to really clean it up.
Masai would be an amazing get for any Org. But i think Toronto would match any offer.
Hinkie... though i think Hinkie would be better for the Kings.
