By Kuma Go To PostUtah wouldn't be in this Hayward situation if they just gave this man the extension back in 2013.They would be in it next year?

I'd just refuse to sign any contract that didn't match LBJ's years / guarantees etc.
By reilo Go To PostI don't think Harden and CP3 are a good fit.Morey doesn't care about fit.
By reilo Go To PostI don't think Harden and CP3 are a good fit.On the other hand, it's a great fit for enraging opposing teams.
By DY_nasty Go To Postflopacalypseomg i didnt even think about that
We have $16m in cap space and would need $25m to absorb the contracts of Ryno and Bev. Trading Diaw and Mack and cash to Philly would clear $10m more and we could then absorb the contracts of Ryno and Bev.
By IWMTB19 Go To PostWe'll take Ryno and Bev off your hands, Houston…
Bev contact is golden, $5mill team option is a no brainer.
But that Ryno contract... yikes
Diaw wouldnt need to be traded, he can be waved. Mack isn't even under contract.
I don't hate Ryno or anything but that contract.. ugh

We have cap space for this year, not the offseason. Diaw and Mack are still under contract for this current season. Our cap space expires starting July 1st due to big cap holds for Hayward and Hill.
(We somehow were $16m under the cap the whole season...)

Well, the idea is we keep Hayward's cap hold and try to re-sign him :(
This trade works...

CP3 to Houston still doesn't make them a contender.
It also doesn't make much sense from a basketball perspective. Both are so ball-dominant.
I mean, if you staggered them their offense would never slow down, but offense wasn't their problem.

By diehard Go To PostYeah i'm just talking about Mack and Diaw, who likely won't be on the books when that would happen.
If we let Diaw and Mack go but keep the cap holds of Hayward, Ingles, and Hill, we're $2m over the cap.
Gobert's contract kicks in starting July 1st and eats all of our cap space.
By Moris Go To PostKnicks slaent get hypeIf you fire Phil I will buy all your albums James.
By diehard Go To PostThey would be in it next year?
Would have a better chance of keeping him imo
By Kuma Go To PostWould have a better chance of keeping him imowhy
Firing Phil just months after picking up his option is the most Knicksian way to fire him.
I applaud you, Dolan.

The downside to this is that Melo is probably staying.
Whatever. You acting like he hasn't been on the shadow council this whole time.
