Fivethirtyeight's odds to win the title:
1) Warriors 58%
2) Spurs 12%
3) Clippers 5%
4) Raptors, Wizards, Celtics 4%
5) Cleveland 3%
That Clippers % has me questioning the whole thing. They'd have to go through Utah, Golden State then probably San Antonio just to make the finals. No way they pull that off.

By blackace Go To PostI mean they have a decent chance to get 1-3 as welluntil the lottery I am going to base my prediction on the draft order as is. AlsoTop #3 are the top regardless I think the talent is good enough there teams go BPA.

Lebron is going to force the cavs to trade Love..... if they lose badly..... Not even joking
By pilonv1 Go To Postlol Wizards and Raptors above the CavsPortland finished with a better DRtg on the entire season than the Cavs.
Since the ASG only the Lakers are worse defensively than the Cavs.

I don't believe it until they lose a series
By reilo Go To PostA reporter asked him "6 or 7?" and he answered. Trash bulletin board material.if they go 6 that would be something
Edy Tavares had 6 blocks in 24 minutes tonight. Tristan Thompson has yet to have 5 blocks in a game even once during his 465-game career.
Gobert finished the season as the only player ever in the top 3 in both Offensive and Defensive rating, at #1 and #2 in those.. thats pretty cool.

That's no fun.
Celtics-Bulls - 7 games. Bad matchup for Cs and Wade is back. Still, Chicago ain't shit.
Cavs-Pacers - 6 games. I'm not believing the hype on Cavs imploding until at least round 2 if the Raps steal one in Cleveland. Plus Teague just rolled his ankle.
Raptors-Bucks - 7 games. Raps can't be trusted but are too talented to lose this early.
Wizards-Hawks - 5 games. Gortat gonna have sweet revenge.
Warriors-Blazers - 5 games. Will be a series of close games but I think the Warriors are done fucking around.
Spurs-Grizzlies - 6 games. Kawhi gonna blow off some steam for not finishing top 2 in mvp voting.
Rockets-Thunder - 5 games. Russ wins at least one game by himself, but they just don't have the shooting to keep up with Houston.
Jazz-Clippers - 7 games. End of the road for the current iteration of the Clips.
Celtics-Bulls - 5 games. After the Celtics focus down in their first two home games the Bulls will start to yipe at each other.
Cavs-Pacers - 4 games. Cavs haven't recovered, but this is a horrific matchup for the Pacers.
Raptors-Bucks - 5 games. Raps are playing too well right now to drop more than a game to the Bucks.
Wizards-Hawks - 7 games. Mahinmi will miss the first few and Gortat will play soft against playoff Dwight.
Warriors-Blazers - 4 games. Its the warriors.
Spurs-Grizzlies - 5 games. The grizz are played out man. Time to reboot.
Rockets-Thunder - 7 games. Russ breaks the laws of physics and alters reality.
Jazz-Clippers - 6 games. The fact that the Clips are tired of each other becomes obvious by game 2.

By shun Go To PostIs this draft looking decent towards late round, or just good throughout the lottery. The first 8 picks or so look solid. No one really knows beyond that.
Wondering since there is no draft pick owned, team will probably buy one out again this year for a late first or early second round.
By blackace Go To Postis this this the first time the Gasol brothers faced off in the playoffs?Doesn't look like it.

He was a standout on the Raptors' d-league team who were 1st in the league this year, it was a good last minute signing by the Cavs. He's slow so he's only a situational player in today's NBA (last night was both teams just playing scrubs) but he can probably be as effective as Mozgov was in the minute-absorbing plodding C role for them in an emergency. Toronto would have signed him if they'd had room.
Blackace, you have hope:

Tim Leiweke is the super-capable executive who was CEO of AEG (LA Kings, Lakers) and steered the Raptors from junk-tier to capable franchise. If he's leading this I bet it happens.
By ESPNTwo arena companies have pitched multimillion-dollar plans to remake Seattle's KeyArena into a premier entertainment venue that's ready for an NBA or NHL team.
Los Angeles-based Oak View Group on Wednesday submitted a $564 million plan that calls for the arena to be renovated by October 2020 and ready for the following NBA or NHL seasons, The Seattle Times reported.
"We're going to do this and stand on our own two feet," Oak View Group CEO Tim Leiweke said of his plan, which comprises 18,350 seats for NBA games, 17,100 for NHL contests and 19,100 for concerts. "And we believe by doing that we give Seattle its best chance at getting one or two teams."

I think we're capable of turning up our defense to another level in the playoffs (like we did last year), but the question is whether our offense can get enough contributions from guys not named Westbrook.

Wonder if they make a run at Hinkie. Orlando would be a good place for him to do his thing, no demanding fanbase or big media presence so he can take his time building assets without having to worry about so much of the PR stuff that tripped him up.
By blackace Go To PostWe have always had hope… Seattle without a basketball team seems like bad business for the NBA in general..
Yeah, but you needed an arena deal. AEG own Staples Center & O2 in London and Leiweke is the type of exec that other execs fawn over, so this seems as close to a home run as you could ask for.

So when is the last time All-NBA first team had someone that wasn't an All-Star? Lillard on second team is the closest i can think of.

I wonder if the put the roster on wholesale. A lot of pieces on that team don't fit
By pilonv1 Go To PostEww no. I prefer more local match ups and the story lines that form from playing the same teams in the playoffs every year.
Now I want Toronto/OKC and Jazz/Wizards
Divisions need to be localized (we should play the Texas teams a lot more for example) but I would like true 1-16 seeding.
It would make the later rounds of the playoffs better too.

The first part isn't true either but the guys surrounding Russ are proficient on one end at best.
This was an enjoyable fucking Heat season, sucks no playoffs and also sucks cause of the question mark of who is coming back next season. But for now, to go 11-30 then do the flip 30-11 to get back to .500 while playing entertaining ball was fun.
By KingGondo Go To Post🙄 Nobody says the second part. The Rockets don't have any two-way guys, either. The closest are maybe Capella and Ariza.
