By shun Go To PostHarden is making washed up injury prod dudes like Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson look like a big 3.Gordon is having nearly identical production as he did in NOLA. Anderson has worse per-possession production on a little better efficiency. They have played more games, though, which is more important. Especially Gordon.
Westbrook isn't making Adams or Oladipo or anyone else on his team better, it's just fuck y'all give me mine and you guys will benefit type of deal.
Houston without Harden becomes the New Orleans Pelicans without AD and Jrue Holiday. That's fucking garbage, OKC-esque.
Bamba went to the Sloan Analytics conference, lol.
Bamba has a 9'7" standing reach and is basically Rudy Gobert before Rudy put on weight and learned to catch and developed a good BBIQ.
We will see if Bamba develops like Gobert though...

Can't be knocking those other dudes injuries when MKG playing over 65 games is considered an achievement. And Blair's knee injuries were wayyyy worse than Nerlens. ACL tears aren't a death sentence anymore (what Nerlens had) in comparison to whatever messed up knees Blair had.

I'm not touting MKG. Just saying, while Beale is better now, the last 4 or 5 years, would have been largely awash.
ACL tears are handled better. But you dont' want to draft them. And people still shy away from it. You just don't know what else is going to go wrong off the back of it.
I'm glad Nerlens looks like a role player. Basically the new Tyson Chandler. ~13ppg and 10rbg while playing good defense and able to stay out there at the end of games because he can shoot FT's at a respectable rate. And he'd contribute on any team.
But it's a lot to ask a team that needs healthy bodies to draft a bigman with a torn ACL.
yeah Noel ended up sitting his whole rookie year. Hard to get a franchise to feel comfortable about signing off on that

Maybe all they needed was a change of scenery, but those guys are enjoying playing basketball much more in Houston than they did in New Orleans.
By reilo Go To PostI don't think saying he should've picked Kawhi is fair since they weren't drafting in that range. Kawhi is like the all-time "who truly saw that development coming?" pick.
nbadraft.net saw it coming, apparently.
By blackace Go To PostSo Tony Romo is suiting up for the Mavs…?
By reilo Go To Post?
its true
By livefromkyoto Go To Postnbadraft.net saw it coming, apparently.NBA Comparison: Luc Richard Mbah a Moute/ Gerald Wallace
nailed it
Kawhi was projected top 7 and he fell to 15 because he didn't work out for anyone outside of the top 7.
We specifically passed on Kawhi because he didn't do a workout with us.
Our next GM proceeded to draft a fuckton of players who didn't work out for us because we're still traumatized.
Alec Burks did have that one season where he looked like an NBA starter though!

Either him or Draymond. Should be close.

Did I just imagine there being a Utah Jazz?
By livefromkyoto Go To PostDid I just imagine there being a Utah Jazz?lol right?
Gobert is going to win... at least he should win. That dude is nuts.
On a similar note; Does Gobert get any love for MIP?

Giannis is the MIP.
(Gobert is DPotY and first team all-NBA. He's the best center since at least 2011 Dwight Howard)

I'm not convinced that enough people watch Utah to vote Gobert into 1st

You're right, I always forget Giannis exists. Much like the Bucks.
By masud Go To PostFucking Philly man…
what did Philly Do......
Doubt they give it to a player who has won 2 years in a row or to a player like Green when there is another option
My hopes in Brooklyn may have been misplaced.
Oh well. The upside of a Cavs win tonight would be not having to face them in the 2nd round.
By s y Go To PostCavless cavs are putting us out of our misery.

By reilo Go To PostHad no idea there's more money on the line now for winning in the playoffs. That's a nice touch.
Don't think the money is new. Just publicly posting it like that is.
I'm not believing this Cavs score until the game is over. Too easy for them to cough up a lead these days.
By pilonv1 Go To PostWasn't this expected of Giannis after last season? it's Jokic or Porter.
State of this
No Giannis? Shut this clown down
By s y Go To PostWasn't this expected of Giannis after last season? it's Jokic or Porter.
It's been expected since before he was drafted.....
By s y Go To PostWasn't this expected of Giannis after last season? it's Jokic or Porter.
Giannis upped his game playing the same minutes, should be ahead of everyone but Jokic. Porter isn't that much better than last year compared to the other two and Barnes is just taking nearly twice as many shots.

I didn't think they went up as much as Giannis or Jokic?
Really have no idea what direction the Magic should take. Other than Aaron Gordon, I'm not sure they have any long term pieces.
