Watching breakdowns of how Utah plays D, what he does is amazing. Playing him is like having 6 guys on the floor.
By livefromkyoto Go To PostStahp. A grown man who makes a career out of pretending every guy in the league can knock him over with the brush of an arm should not be the sport's standard bearer. Certainly not in a year where a guy with zero help is having the best statistical season ever by someone other than Wilt.
Here goes people changing the narrative because they don't like harden. Zero help? Tf? NOBODY picked the Rockets over the Thunder.
By rvy Go To PostWhat's this called?okonomiyaki
By Smokey Go To PostNOBODY picked the Rockets over the Thunder.Surprised how Slaent's predictions stacked up to national media. Both ESPN and 538 had OKC ahead of Houston.
Most people on here didn't have OKC making the playoffs but had Houston there(cept for giri and chandler lol). I had the Rockets 3rd.
By diehard Go To Postat least 2 CBS guys had Houston over OKC.I was trying to find their predictions. Do you have the link?
Bleacher Report also had OKC in but Houston not making the post season.
By KingGondo Go To PostPreemptive salt. U already mad.Rockets fans have every right to be salty.
Two seasons ago Harden dragged this team to the top of the Southwest, 3rd best record in the NBA. We were told his lack of help didn't matter, his stats didn't matter, his team's record just wasn't good enough. Now we're told that those very points that dragged him down are all positives for Westbrook?
Oh, stats show more value than actual wins. Oh, his lack of wins just shows how little help he's got. Their respective ability to involve their teammates got people thinking that Capela and Beverley are actually more talented than Adams and Oladipo. It's laughable, yet you're probably right. Whether it's 'best player on best team' or 'best statline', Harden is probably going to fall short again.

I only pay attention to 3 Man Break. Dy did.

They had our starting lineup (the one that is 11-2) as like the 20th best in the league or something.
By livefromkyoto Go To PostI only pay attention to 3 Man Break. Dy did.Dy had them right where they needed to be.. I had them lower.. Didn't think OKC would make it all.

I forget now...did Morris have them up there too for the clean sweep?

From the people with MVP votes, yeah
Me and Kib are aligned once again. The Nintendo declaration threw it off, but we back.
By s y Go To PostThey've gotten better over the years after being a joke. They're definitely one of the larger media outlets. I don't remember if it was them whose parent company lost the suit to Hogan and had to let go of their writers who made the site legit.

OKC above HOU:
shun, dark phaze, giri, chandlerparsons, IWMTB19
Vice-versa:
knux, butt, psy, pilonv1, (I'm not counting crud)
Memories are so short. Barely making it into the playoffs, that chemistry (or lack thereof) in that first round exit, Dwight leaving, whiffing on Atlanta's free agents, hiring D'Antoni to fix our 'defense'. There were so many things that justified my pessimism in the team.
By s y Go To PostNah, its Kawhi. Sorry.Gdlk perimeter defense isn't as valuable as gdlk rim + paint protection or nearly gdlk rim + paint protection + excellent perimeter defense.
Kawhi hasn't had as good a defensive impact as those other two players.

Kawhi has no help. Danny Green fell off
Gobert has hayward, george hill, exum, ingles etc
Draymond has klay, iguadala, javale and zaza

Where do you live that has no Japanese restaurants?
By blackace Go To PostokonomiyakiI don't remember which town or what restaurant I tried it on my vacation, but I was disappointed in that business's version of it. I don't remember what I disliked about it since it was like two or three years ago. I'm sure if I had tried it at a different place, I would have been able to find one I liked.
By Adam Blade Go To PostWhere do you live that has no Japanese restaurants? The asshole of Europe. There's Japanese restaurants, but I'm not driving for 40 minutes to get to Lisbon and try Japanese food.
By s y Go To PostKawhi has no help. Danny Green fell offDedmon is amazing. Green is still great. Aldridge does his job.

Hayward is ok. Same with Hill and Exum. Ingles is bad. They look better because they have Gobert to rely on.
The Warriors are such a versatile defense because Draymond can switch onto errbody while still being able to man-up against most centers. Javale is a terrible defender and Pachulia isn't good on that end, either.
By s y Go To PostThrough no fault of his own. His teams are plagued by injury when it comes to playoff time. Either his own, West, Chandler, Griffin, or Jordan (I think he was injured for one of those playoff runs). His core hasn't had a healthy shot at the playoffs since the 07-08 team that lost to the Spurs in the second round.

Sushi is everywhere. Okonomi is going to be rare any place that doesn't have a local Japanese population. The Hiroshima style Shun posted with yakisoba in it is going to be even rarer.

Shrimp is pretty much the only seafood I can stomach. Whole Foods is a rip off though. Way too expensive

No, never. Freezing fish kills the flavour, it defeats the whole point. Toronto is too far from the ocean to have much choice in the matter, but the difference between fresh & frozen is night & day.

I wouldn't, I'd just go to the fish market & make it myself. It's dead easy, and this is coming from someone with the culinary skills of a baboon.

By blackace Go To PostI mean is there such thing as frozen sushi? Doesn't really make too much sense..I'm sure there is and I'm sure it's terrible.
Fish is frozen a lot and thawing it to cut it for sushi happens even in Japanese restaurants in Japan... but I have never seen frozen sushi here in Japan for like home meals or whatever... how would you prepare it?
By blackace Go To PostFish is frozen a lot and thawing it to cut it for sushi happens even in Japanese restaurants in Japan… but I have never seen frozen sushi here in Japan for like home meals or whatever… how would you prepare it?Here, a review: http://www.sometimesfoodie.com/2015/08/fusia-frozen-california-rolls-aldi.html
The box provided three suggestions of how to prepare. An excerpt from the review:
Microwave + Sushi = NOPE. They actually suggest microwaving sushi. I..I get it, it's frozen, but I just can't do it. Even though California rolls are totally not traditional sushi, microwaving this just feels so…wrong. So nope, not doing that method.
Next up, room temperature. Now they don't specify if you leave it literally out on your counter to thaw, or inside your fridge. Whenever I thaw frozen meats I take it out the night before and pop it into my fridge so it's chilled, but thawed when I get home from work to cook it. So I would assume fridge, but is that wrong? I feel like sitting a seafood product on my counter for 2 hours to thaw and eat is…risky. Firstly, I have cats, and if any of you have cats, no counter anywhere is safe regardless of the food being covered or not. Secondly, it's summer. I don't like the idea of letting seafood sit in my kitchen even with the AC on. It just sounds like a one way ticket to food poisoning city. So I'm iffy about this one.
Lastly, place the bag in a bowl of water and let thaw. Okay, not horrible, but where am I going to safely have a big ol' bowl of water. I have the same cat-based counter dilemma.
I've never seen frozen sushi...
I've seen sushi in the coolers at the grocery store. But thats only good for like 48 hours then they toss it out because it's made off-site and just brought in.

In no way am I trusting seafood that says to let it thaw. The author is right, you're begging for food poisoning.
I was called a snob by my family because I refused to try free sample sushi at an HEB in Midland, Texas.
