By livefromkyoto Go To PostDon't worry. DeRozan likes that Garden spotlight, he's getting a career high today.
Career high: 43
Today through three quarters: 35
Nice now we just need Minny to beat la and Sacto to beat Phoenix and we don't have too worry about losing to Philly
By reilo Go To Post[]I feel bad for any of the point guard prospects that are going to be linked to New York between now and June. The triangle will hold their game hostage.

Knicks falling apart, 24-7 run, DeRozan's probably not even getting on the floor this quarter.

I don't even understand the desire for a star PG in New York. They're trying to implement a system that's best served by a caretaker point guard who can throw an entry pass and hit an open 3. They'd be way better off investing the eventual salary in another position.

Markelle wants that big stage. Make it happen basketball gods.
I want a star pg. Whoever we draft is gonna outlast Phil and this triangle nonsense. Shit if it doesn't work at first that's just more high draft picks.

That's... the only argument I can buy. You draft a star PG because you don't think Phil will be around for much longer and the triangle bullshit can go die in a fire.

Or... they intend to let these big PG (6'4 - 6'5) play the much more ball dominant SG role in the triangle. Fultz and Ball both fits that role perfectly. Also I do believe they will try to incorporate the 2 PG system Hornecek wants to play as the initial transition attack offense (with KP as the trailer at the 3 pt line like Frye ) and then a fall back into the triangle when forced into the half court. They did it this year but Rose and Jennings were just too much of a liability on defense and the 3 pt line for it to get any burn. if they don't move up and draft one of Monk, Fox (if they think he can shoot), and Ntilkina, I still see them trading for another PG like Reggie, or Austin to try and make it work
By masud Go To PostOh shit Baker almost messed around and got a triple double.
Told you about my boy Ron Baker the Shot Maker, I been a fan since preseason.... Gallo pt 2 but with a higher BBIQ
It's cute how y'all still hold out hope that the triangle can work.
5 teams in the West have a better PPG differential (+3.8, Clippers) than the top seed in the East (+3.5) held by... the Cavaliers. π·
Although the Raptors are +4.1, but overall the East is that bad.

Doncic, Bamba, Porter Jr, or Ayton, who is going to be the #1 pick in 2018?
At 17 years old, Luka Doncic averaged 17/9/9 per 40 in the Euroleague with a 62.4% TS% while shooting 41% from three.

First don't call me cute..... I don't shit on you or your team nearly enough to deserve that
I told you what they were planning, how they tried to make it work this year, why it didn't work this year, and the changes they would try to implement. I didn't say if it would work, shit I didn't even say I agreed with it.

And you don't need to explain to me the rationale behind it because I keep saying what I have been saying: the rationale is fucking dumb. Stop trying to make the player fit into the system when the system is broken in the modern NBA.

I like sexton
This shit is all on Bron. Foul Milsap for 2 FTs, foul Millsap at the 3, then throw a terrible pass to Kyrie at the end.
Oh and he stood with the ball and got a 5 second violation.

I can't believe that game went to OT.
They were up by like 20.
So the only two games that are relevant today are
Suns vs Mavs
Lakers vs Wolves
If Suns grind out that loss, they can't finish worse, than tied for second.
If Suns lose and Lakers win, Suns are locked into second place wtih no tie.

Our defense has been so hard to watch on this road trip.
Again, it's a glorified exhibition at altitude, but still.
Let's get Russ those last 2 assists and sit everyone.

By IWMTB19 Go To PostThis Cavs team kind of sucks.
I'm starting to feel a bit of confidence vs. them.
Still wary though. The way they curbstomped Boston last week shows they still have the ability to flip the switch. Raps get them on Wednesday in the last game of the season, no result would surprise me either way.
By IWMTB19 Go To PostThis Cavs team kind of sucks.
It's weird for a team that has the same starting 5 that won the chip last year, to look this bad the following year.
But that's the core of it, I think everyone is still wary that they may just be able to turn it on, in a series. But .... They don't look like a championship team at the moment.

I have a feeling we win one, lose one.
Just need the Lakers to do the same.
By livefromkyoto Go To PostI'm starting to feel a bit of confidence vs. them.Flipping the switch for a short burst is easier than doing it for a whole series though. Or extended period.

Cavs blow 26-point lead, fall into tie for Eastβs top seed.LeBron James tallied 32 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists before fouling out, and Kyrie Irving dropped 45 points, but Cleveland allowed 44 points in the fourth quarter as Atlanta rallied from a huge deficit for a stunning win
That's the story all season, isn't it? Cavs can score, but can't defend.
