lakers still in the race if they lose tonight.
good thing Coach Luke put in meta in the 4th.
This was like the first game this season where Derrick Favors could jump so, uhh, I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.
Came to bar to watch baseball but across the ticker was word from the NBA commissioner regarding teams resting players and that being a huge concern for the league office.
Really? Why wouldn't they do that? Seems unavoidable.

It flared up when both San Antonio and Golden Sate both rested their starters on a prime time matchup.

Silver has been working on completely removing back to back games which would go a long way in providing players with more rest.
Nets clinched the worst record in the league despite having no incentive to tank.
That is insanely impressive.
Brought my girlfriend to the game, she was so awesome, her first NBA game :D

By s y Go To PostPlayers resting has become a bit of a hot topic as of late. It flared up when both San Antonio and Golden Sate both rested their starters on a prime time matchup.Well duh, I guess. The coaches don't care about what time the games air. You play the players that are required to win.

By GQman2121 Go To PostWell duh, I guess. The coaches don't care about what time the games air. You play the players that are required to win.Certain games are national games. It's not just about broadcast time, but audience it's going out too.
The teams response is simple, stop putting national broadcast games on the 2nd night of a back to back. Or 4th game in 5. And other dumb shit.
The reality is, the league has way too many games. The reality is, that many games brings in huge broad casting revenues. The reality is, no one wants to give up money.
So players are going to be rested. The league office is going to continue to be faux outraged, and fans are going to continue to post "crying" vids about missing "x player".
the last time someone bitched this much about resting on live TV broadcast, was when Popovich rested all his starters against Miami right? The game ended up being competitive anyway and Pop get fined.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostRaps are going to have to tank to avoid the Cavs lol
Atlanta rested their starters. The Cavs just lost to a team that was playing Calderon-Taurean Prince-Ilyasova-Hump-Hardaway Jr.
Admit it. If you got matched up against them you'd be feeling just a little bit of confidence right now.
AYYYYY SUNS WON!!!
Lakers been tanking for three years and still haven't mastered the tank?
I can rest easily now that we secured a top 4 pick.
Steve Nash overrated as hell imo.

Utah treats him right... And they got a good core, with good coaching. I would be more shocked if he left to be honest..
The Suns fouling Russ to prevent it is as bitchmade as it gets..
Like walking a baseball player trying to break a homerun record..

Just as bitch made as the forcing of his tripple double.
He wasn't shooting at the end. Only looking for the pass.
Got what he deserved.
They did the same thing for Booker to get his points against Boston. Not the best start for young players to seem to care that much about stats.
This is still so dumb though https://streamable.com/u5rg5

.
His team was down big and he wasn't looking for best play available. But best play for his stats.
I wouldn't have cared if they called extra time outs or whatever. Is what it is.
But he went purely stat whoring, so they stopped it. Like, he went really fucking dumb with it.
As for caring about stats? I don't think it's caring about stats, as caring about not being on the wrong side of history.

I mean, Westbrook was stat whoring but at this point you can't really blame him. Any player would look to make history... it is like blaming a homerun hitter for trying to get that last hr to beat Bonds..
But being upset about Russ but being proud about Devin and the Suns stat's whoring for 70 a bit ago is comical..

So, a team tried to stop booker scoring, and couldn't.
Versus YNB trying to stat whore to a tripple double, and couldn't.
You want to talk about history, but no player wants to be on that highlight reel in x years on the other side of history.
So i should be... ambivalent that the Suns found a way to stop YNB AND get the win?
Yeah. That's the comical part.

By blackace Go To PostI am a bigger fan of the best 16 period
Would have to be paired with an entire association overhaul. We're talking a reduction of games played (who wants to see more mediocrity?) and the entire elimination of back-to-back games. Divisional rivalries would die as what would be the point of divisions and conferences if you just take best 16?
Divisional rivalries already don't really matter. You are guaranteed to play division opponents four times a seasons and other conference opponents three or four times a season. Out of conference is two or three times a season, iirc.

So I found an unopened can of cashews, the expiration date says August of 2016, since it's unopened, am I good?
Lets be real Westbrook was passing wide open looks blatantely. Booker still made all his shots and drew those fouls in game play. They let him shoot wverytime yea but he still had 6 assists and the only stat whoring really started when there was only 2 mins left. Russ was doong it the entire 4th quarter.
Watson said the same thing to Boston, dont like it? Stop us. Celtics didnt even try to double team.
Id also like to add Bookers 70 came unexpectedly and somewhat naturally. Was lots of talk like it was a shoe in that westbrook would get it against the suns and that they were a joke. Of course prideful competitive players arent going to let it happen with him trying so hard
