SAN ANTONIO – Cavs coach Tyronn Lue hinted he was considering sacrificing not only the first seed in the East playoffs, but maybe even the second and third slots in favor of resting his key players for the postseason.http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2017/03/tyronn_lue_may_punt_on_cavalie.html
Lue dropped the hint before the Cavs were torched 103-74 by the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night, and then confirmed he was thinking about it afterwards.

Rookies typically rack up fouls, not draw them..

I mean.... Kemba was on a mission against us.

sweet baby jesus please come to Carolina
how does the lotto thing work if we end up with the same record as Phoenix. cause these dudes are trying too hard so im sure we're gonna fuck around and win a few more games.

The guy took 55 shots and got fouled twice. There's no rookie seeing that kind of usage with that few FTs. Like, Delon Wright's played 30 fewer NBA games, takes half as many shots and still draws 5x more FTs.

Delon isn't a rookie. he attacks the basket with euro's as well.
Delon also has two fantastic slashers as his mentors as well.

The two teams get mostly the same odds though, the difference due to the coin flip is around 0.1%. They would both be at around 17.8%.
Gobert was fucking great in that first half, but he looks so tired right now :(

He's not a rookie but he might as well be, he's played 48 career games to Buddy's 77 and had surgery over the summer so he missed his second training camp. But he was just the first example who came to mind.

The entire team is hurt or bad other than Gobert right now, not optimal with two weeks until the playoffs.
Damn, Kemba is on a mission.

1.5 games out and they play the 8 seed Heat in their next game, too. They could really get back into this thing.

Blow it up.

Conley / Gasol is a really good core. But it's really starting to feel like they've burnt all of their usable assets. And given Parsons injury history, I doubt he'll ever play a full season for them, though he would have been very good for them.
Conley and Gasol are 29 / 32 respectively. The window seems like it's closing rapidly. They probably really do need to look at how they can move forward.
I mean, they're sitting in 7th. They'll get around 45 wins this year. This will be their 7th straight play offs trip. It's hard to tell to say throw it all away. But ...
I'd be more excited about this Lakers win if I didnt think we were going to go out and get the W tonight to ruin it
By livefromkyoto Go To PostI'm trying so hard not to be a homer about Delon Wright but damn, he looks good, man. It's fun to talk about your players you like, so go ahead.

doesn't shoot enough = doesn't make the defense guess enough for me.

Careful what you say, lol. Raptor fans have notorious homer goggles.

His jumper is still suspect, so I'm okay with him playing to his strengths and getting his points off drives & dunks.
But his court vision is great, he consistently finds guys who are wide open or nails the tight entry pass - remember how Calderon spent an entire career terrified of making those?
And defence is shockingly good, he's had 4 block games and I honestly can't remember seeing a guy with that few games under his belt consistently getting up in ball handlers' faces like that...okay, I can, but they were desperate guys on 10-days without his length to make it effective.

That's quite a tank we got going.
And some of our guys have been looking tired. Probably need rest.

With a 6'8 wingspan, but I swear he plays bigger than that.

Philly showed up on easy mode tonight. He's taking the opportunity to go after one of those hard-to-get trophies for the platinum.

fixed. dude is 6'5.
Okay, DeRozan is so obviously going for assists, he just passed up an open layup at the rim to pass out to a Ibaka midrange, lol.
Man if the knicks can lock down 4 or 5 I still hope they make a trade offer to the Kings for 7 and 11 maybe throw in Kuz or something......
Also I am not mad at the Blazer trade for Anthony (but we all know it's going to be the Clippers cause Melo likes large markets). If the non lottery of the draft wasn't a shit ton of centers I would even be cool if the Knicks used that Rose space to absorb Turner's or Crabbe's bad contract for 2 picks. Cause the Blazers cap is legit fucked up and that's gonna hurt there ability to grow more than anything else
