By n8 dogg Go To PostHave many managers been able to match Mou? Ancelotti the only one to win the league since, and fuck giving RDM credit for the CL, that was some bullshit. Would argue Benitez was the best aside from Ancelotti in between the Mou years.
It seemed like Perez gave Mou final say over players. Don't think managers since have been given as much control.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostHe has exceeded all expectations by quite a distance.innit.
5 goals for a wingback is pretty good.

Hiddink had a good tenure, I thought. Should have made the CL final; fared far better against what most consider a GOAT Barcelona team than Utd did in the final.
RDM did what failing Mou couldn't. Sad!
Alonso's determination when he went up against Bellerín and scored that header was great.
#NotAFoul
Though maybe it kind of was.

It was absolutely a foul.
It was indeed a foul, I just loved Conte's explanation that it wasn't one because it occurred on English soil.
I used to rate him very highly before that. One of the absolute best keepers in the EPL back in 2014/15.
By Laboured Go To PostAnother game in which Forster concedes every shot on target against him. He's been awful ever since coming back from injury.

By jtb Go To Postdidn't Marcos Alonso literally murder someone while driving drunk?
Fernando Alonso, F1 driver.
@jtb, we were in the midst of going to shit when Rafa was sacked tbf. Key players gone or in decline, being replaced by players nowhere near their level, if they were replaced at all
I was fucking livid he was fired and still am, but it had been a terrible season and his replacement was always gonna be up against it with the way we were run. That difficulty was compounded when we picked Roy fucking Hodgson to make sense of it all.

Nah. This Alonso as well. That creepy smile is hiding something my friend.
By WoodenPapangu Go To PostNah. This Alonso as well.
Huh, never heard that.
By Laboured Go To PostBellerin is just embracing the thug lyfe so that no pendejo ever fucks with him ever again.I do recall hearing stories of pendejo's dissing his fly girl.
By Laboured Go To PostHuh, never heard that. Its strange how under-reported it is compared to other players with stuff like that on their record.

On 2 May 2011, Alonso was arrested following his involvement in a car accident in Madrid. He was the driver of a car that collided with a wall, killing one of the passengers, a 19-year-old woman, having been driving at 112.8 km/h in wet conditions in a 50 km/h zone, with a blood alcohol level of 0.93 mg per litre. He faced 21 months in prison when sentenced in February 2016, but his punishment was changed to a €61,000 fine and a driving ban of three years and four months, which had already been spent.
Edit: Beaten, but it's pretty damn tragic. Could've and should've spent considerable time in jail.
By Hitch Go To PostIts strange how under-reported it is compared to other players with stuff like that on their record.
Well he was a fucking Bolton player at the time, so not a lot of people cared.
But the sun called him "car kill driver"
This may have happened while he was at Bolton, and I just missed it, but how did the FA not just ban the cunt for like a season?

Why the fuck would it be the FA's job to do this?

Thought the Alonso stuff was common knowledge. Still hope he does his acl. Cunt.

Nice! Have fun. I'm having fun as well, but i expect a lot more from such a huge developer like PD.
Pretty good. I know Saints are mentally out of it at this point, but that was a nice little run by Costa.
8 goals in two games feels good as well heading down the stretch.

idk. football authorities have handed out some crazy long bans (Suarez biting, Suarez being racist, Suarez biting, etc.), but I guess all that stuff was related to on-pitch behavior.
It's something that's super common in US leagues. Bans for domestic violence, drunk driving, etc.
It's pretty obscene that he isn't serving any time in jail. Just a slap on the wrist.

As you said yourself, on pitch stuff, or at least football related.
Judging a player in a criminal case, should be the court rooms job. Not like the English FA has much of any insight to the case either.
By Hitch Go To PostGonna smash something when we fail to score against Southampton for the fourth time this seasonWhat do you expect.
Southhampton players probably give a little extra in matches against Liverpool so they can angle their way to a transfer into your team.

Yeah, I agree. But most workplaces would still probably fire you for cause if you like... murdered someone.
But with power and ownership so decentralized in European sports leagues compared to the union and cartel stucture of American leagues, there's no incentive for the club to do that themselves and the leagues don't really have that authority.
Probably for the best.
By inky Go To PostIt's disgusting, innit. The footballing Gods have been looking out for him for a long time now. 😒
