By Zabojnik Go To PostThe new Ibra, kinda. Tall, surprisingly nimble and technical, very good nose for goals, no soft boi. A proper B-tier #prospect, I'd say. I can see why we're interested. Hopefully Marotta's ties with Samp will help us secure him.let us have him, m8
Evening, lads. Have Chelsea won the league yet?
By bud Go To Postramos got a one-game suspension.
help me understand.
Mourinho's motivational mind games bullshit have been stale for like a decade. Game's passed him by, slipped out of the top echelon of world managers. Now he's in that dreaded Wenger tier.

I doubt the game has changed much in 2 years
"stale for a decade"
Things Mou has won in the past decade:
2 PL with Chelsea (1 as recent as 2015)
Treble with Inter (including 2 Serie A titles)
La Liga with Real Madrid (only one they have in the past 8 years)
"Wenger tier"

Great goal. Bats can't do that. Costa can. Excellent finish from Hazard. More goals in this on both sides though.

This is true, but he can still brute force a league win by outspending everyone.
That is what he has been doing the past decade and it is has been successful.
And then it falls apart because he is a cunt.
I think he'll win the league with United in the next two years and then be out shortly after that.
the treble with Inter was the last time Mourinho was an elite manager. the tie against Barcelona was probably the greatest managerial performance of recent memory.
honestly, there's a pretty clear point when everyone stopped taking Mourinho seriously as managerial god: when he gouged Tito's eye. Absolutely pathetic. just a sad, pathetic man resorting to the same old gimmicks.
oh so he won a title with a blank check. ~so impressed.~
One PL with Chelsea. Not two.

Ah yes, it was one year prior to that. My bad. That year was exactly the moment he became Wenger tier.

Yup. What Simeone has built is 10x more impressive than what Mourinho has "accomplished." Klopp to a lesser extent as well. Hell throw Ranieri in there too.
By Bold 2 in One Go To Postfuck sakes, Saints, we gave you a blueprintHøjbjerg isn't playing m8
they can't do it without him

I'll just amend that to say "this decade" i.e. post Inter-treble. That was genuinely a great team and a remarkable managerial feat.
By inky Go To PostAs someone who hasnt seen the goal, I'm not sure whether he ran across the DM or between him and the RB

Mourinho is very clearly still a world class manager and tactician. He can draw up a gameplan as well as anyone. But he needs the players to execute that plan and how he does that is with money - just like the rest of us.
By jtb Go To PostOne PL with Chelsea. Not two.Well I've been swayed.

Isn't developing a player or two part of a manger's job and/or skillset?

By Kidjr Go To PostAre you forgetting the windo, I dont know how on earth you get to 130m lol. It's in my post buddy, Juve paid £20m of the Pogba fee.
£89.2 million for Pogba
£35.7 million for Micky
£32 million for Baily
Total £156
Sold
Morgan £19.0 million
Depay £13.0 million
Paddy £4.46 million
Tyler £1.5 million
Kean £1.00mllion
Net £117 million

There are plenty of examples of the contrary.
By jtb Go To PostIsn't developing a player or two part of a manger's job and/or skillset? Not when he's there for three years and wins trophies. It's the difference between Arsenal and everyone else in their tax bracket.

Why is he only there for 3 years?
Honestly, I wish Klopp came up tactical plan out of left field occasionally. There's no need whatsoever for the likes of Palace to even consider the fact that we might not play the exact same way we have against everyone else , so the blueprint to beating us is depressingly obvious.
We mix it up a little bit when we play matches like Man City away, nothing that can't be adjusted to on the fly though

That's even better than what Ranieri did, arguably. And clearly he has accomplished way more than him when you take his full body of work into account...let's not get silly

Yeah but that was more than 10 years ago and therefore doesn't count. It's ancient history and football is completely different now.

I'm saying he's gotten stale. Not that he's always been overrated. Hell, Inter treble was incredible feat - huge sums of money spent and all.
But hard to look at his Real Madrid and Chelsea runs and not notice the downward trend. His antics are wearing thin, and people are seeing through it even more than ever.
By Laboured Go To PostYeah but that was more than 10 years ago and therefore doesn't count. It's ancient history and football is completely different now.
Would you be saying the same when you're shitting on Wenger (who is shit and needs to go, I'll add)?
