ARMS direct was pretty great. 10 fighters to start but more players, arms and arenas will be added in future free updates. Grand Prix is the main single player mode with a boss character in the end, other modes include 2 vs 2 team match, an explosive volley ball type mini game, a slam dunk mini game where you dunk your enemy instead of a ball, target shooting and 1 vs 100 mode.
Seems like it has a sufficient amount of content. I have to try the test punch to see if i like the game play.
ARMS is filling that EXVS gap for me which honestly feels like a much more approachable fighting game for this old timer

FIFA for the Switch isn't called FIFA 18 but EA SPORTS™ FIFA on the Nintendo Switch and they placed in the last spot on their EA Play 17 event, right after the mobile games.

Moore has left EA since then so who knows.

After the first 15 minutes I didn't think it was for me but once I actually got to do some 1 on 1 matches (Volleyball and 3+ player matches should not be your first real experience with the game) I started to get it somewhat and have some fun. I need to get used to the movement as I kept finding my thumbs drift back to the sticks. If i buy this I'll have to spend a lot of time in sp getting the mechanics down.

I feel like ARMS is really really going to fall off quickly due to the lack of content previews have been citing. Unless you REALLY like the core. There's just not much to keep you going back to it except the core gameplay itself and with content rich similar games like Gundam Versus finally coming to the west, it'd be hard ot justify waiting on all the dlc characters and stages assuming it goes the Splatoon route.
Even Splatoon had some attachment to your character to keep you coming back in the form of dressup. All Arms has is the Arms changing.
