Enter the Gungeon and Crypt of the Necrodancer are two of my favorite Indies. Can't believe Switch is getting both.
By Ragnarok Flames Go To PostShould i buy Fate/stay Extella?
And Gundam Breakers 4 would be great. Along with Enter the Gungeon.
Im juat happy the switch is getting the attention the vita lacked.
Nope it's not really that fun especially compared to FE warriors
I’m wondering what Nintendo’s year going to look like next year. This year has been some of the strongest first party lineups on a first year console. I’m praying for Gamecube games on the virtual console.
Wish I could grab Fire Emblem Warriors now, but with Super Mario Oddysey only a few days away, and DooM, Skyrim and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 out soon as well... Dayum.
Hello, SwitchSLAENT!
I was sent a 10% off single item coupon that doesn’t seem to be restricted, but it expires at the end of the week. Should I use that on a Switch or look elsewhere/wait for a better deal? If it matters, I’m interested in jumping into Mario Odyssey first but intend to delve into the other first-party stuff afterward.

I would say wait for a sale, but you know Nintendo..
By Fitts Go To PostHello, SwitchSLAENT!I don't see the Switch getting a price drop for at least another year. So I'd say take the 10% off and have a blast.

Yeah, I don't see the Switch getting a price drop soon neither since it's selling so well, 10% off a Switch is a good deal.
updated OP with all friend codes I saw. Let me know if I missed anyone. I'l add those of you I'm missing as friends within my switch sometime this week.
I'm getting a Switch on Friday but was wondering how saves and game downloads are handled. I have a 128gig card to put in the Switch, but in all the UI videos I've seen I dont see a way to manage where downloads go. Can you pick and choose whether a game goes to your own card or to the built in memory?

I had a couple of games downloaded already when I got a 64gb card for mine, and I don't think there's any way to even move the data from the built-in storage to the SD without deleting and re-downloading, which is... weird. IIRC even the Wii U let you move stuff around
Once you put the SD in everything you save/download as far as games, save data and
Fake edit: Okay after looking at the system you can choose either the SD or system memory to save your screenshots/video in the options menu.

Wish Nintendo would get rid of archaic friend codes though, no way I am memorizing that.

The console could use a game like that but I dont know if anyone is asking for lawbreakers...
For the first time since release of the system, I can say I saw a store stocked full of Switch units.

Just in time for the holiday rush. I have seen some units recently.
Hey guys, I'm looking to add more switch friends, here's my code:

Currently playing Spelunker Party but I have all the major titles in my library as well. Feel free to add me.
BTW, having Twitter embeds on this site is the fucking best. Seriously.

By jts Go To PostSnake Pass is a fun little game. Didn't play a whole lot, but here's the early notes:
-Great jungle vibe with beautiful David Wise music. Donkey Kong really comes to mind.
-The controls are certainly quite unique, in a good way, but they are also hard especially at first, and the camera doesn't help much in that regard. Mainly the manual camera control which is a bit too slow.
-The style is great and it looks good on Switch (only played on TV mode so far - will update with how it looks on portable mode), but I imagine it easily looks sharper on other platforms. Performance-wise seemed mostly stable, but can't say it had a locked frame rate. Found a stutter once or twice.
That's a bit it, not much of an in-depth review but I only played like 4 levels and will probably not rush through it, but rather play it on short occasions when I need to kill some time. Seems competent for that.
Snake pass is currently on 50 percent off in NA eshop. Good price to bite if you guys have been waiting.
So hyped for The Mummy Demastered today. The perfect game to bridge this small gap to Odyssey. Anyone else excited for this? The music has absolutely sold me and the premise sounds absolutely awesome.
I'm currently playing Cave Story+ (never played CS before, very fun game btw) and hopefully I get to beat the game before Mario is out.

I never played it much even though I had it on PS3/PS4 and Vita thanks to either a sale or PS+, I can't remember.
But since it got a physical release on Switch, I bought it at launch and I've been blown away by just how addictive it is.
It's a bit rough around the edges, but once it sucks you in, it becomes a huge time sink.
I still love Enter the Gungeon and Nuclear Throne more, but that doesn't take away from Isaac.

Definitely gonna buy it. Seems like a great follow-up to their Alien game. Can't believe I will buy a license game of that movie!
By joefu Go To PostOne of the better blades yet. Not that I've been following the game super closely. Some of the others I've seen have been, uh, questionable.

Hope the OT for this thread comes soon. Don't think this place has gaf rules, so hopefully we can hype up games in OTs
For as big a Xenoblade fan I am, I've been completely out of the loop on the sequel. I'm ready to be surprised and blown away. I was a little lukewarm on the trailers, but I trust the team too much to think it'll be anything less than great.

I think I played it for like 5 minutes on the PS3 and didn't grab my attention. Might have to give it another shot on the Switch.

I think I put in about 175 hours, tied with Zelda for my most played Switch game. It's a bit hard to get into at first since basically nothing is explained, but if you play a few runs and then go read the wiki you'll immediately notice the appeal of it.
I like describing it as a mashup of Zelda 1 and Diablo, but in a semi-roguelike genre with weird progression.
I can't speak for the Switch version of Isaac but I have 473 hours played on PC and like the game a lot. It has some of the best replay value of any game imo because of all the synergies.
I'm so on the fence about Xenoblade 2. I love soaking in a big jrpg but all the stars have to align for me to truly dig them. I like FFXV okay but there were so many weird little things going against it for me. I hate to be stingy with what games I grab because I'm always willing to give something a chance, and I'm not NOT feeling it but I'm not REALLY feeling it, so to speak. Is Xenoblade Chronicles the sort of game where the marketing doesn't really do it justice but once you're in the game for a while it'll click?
By Smokey Go To PostFor the first time since release of the system, I can say I saw a store stocked full of Switch units.Really? For over a month Target has stocked pretty much all of their stores with at least 5 Switches. Amazon hasn't been sold out for a long time. Ditto for Best Buy and Wal-Mart (in-store only). The Switch hasn't been hard to find for a long time. I'm guessing that's all going to change mid-November though. I wonder what the Pokeball 2DS situation is going to be like.
By olimpia84 Go To PostI think I played it for like 5 minutes on the PS3 and didn't grab my attention. Might have to give it another shot on the Switch.Yeah, it really takes a bit before it clicks.
It's a strange game like that.
Once you unlock a couple of things and start having some fun runs with crazy items, that's when it really gets going.
Bit like Enter the Gungeon, but less polished and more chaotic.
Getting my Switch this Friday along with some Eshop credit. Have my eye on Picross S, Minecraft, Stardew Valley, and Shovel Knight. Any reason I shouldn't get any of those games? Like performance problems etc.
I can't stop buying switch games. Even though I don't have nearly enough time to play them all. Ugh. Damn family getting in the way of my entertainment lol
Guys I just wanted to put somewhere how FUN the movement in Steamworld Dig 2 becomes once you obtain some of the later abilities.

Yo that new blade looks really good. Just kinda tapping my fingers waiting for Odyssey and Wolfenstein to come out.
