He's very wrong.
The GM did nothing to keep their finals core in place and never got anything worthwhile out of his trades. Every year their roster got worse and worse, with only Westbrook and KD doing the heavy lifting. Don't blame KD, blame the front office.

Glorified David West
Don't besmirch D-Dub's name. West knows what he wants, as well as the consequences of his decisions, and makes no apologies for them. He ain't no unempathetic, shook bitch like Durant.
By Doomsayer Go To PostHe's very wrong.I'm not going to get into the minutiae of why you're wrong, but Durant bolted for a team that we would have beaten if he had played even to his average level in games 5, 6 or 7. He decapitated the Warriors' biggest challenger and joined them on some Red Wedding shit. The very fact that we're gonna sniff 50 wins after losing a player of Durant's caliber is a tribute to how well-constructed the roster is.

Durant wanted a ring, his family/friends wanted a change of scenery, and the Warriors did a good job of selling him their product. Nothing wrong with that.
It doesn't change the fact that they'd still be favorites to chip even without him, nor does it change the fact that OKC fans are bitter largely because of *how* he left and who he went to, not that fact that he left in the first place.
By KingGondo Go To Postwe would have beaten if he had played even to his average level in games 5, 6 or 7.He didn't shoot great (40FG%) but he still dropped 32PPG average in those 3 games.
Meanwhile, Westbrook:
Not only that, but he also had the defensive assignment on Klay when he went off on his three-point run and lost them that game.
But ya, blame Durant. You don't sound bitter at all.
*Two weeks later*
"If he wasn't healthy he shouldn't have come back. We can't win with him shooting like this!"

Lowry can't blame injuries for poor playoff shooting at this point.

Let's not pretend like the only reason you are going to sniff 50 wins is because of Westbrooks herculean like efforts every night. Or the fact that the roster that is put together now isn't even close to the same roster that you had last season.
By reilo Go To PostHe didn't shoot great (40FG%) but he still dropped 32PPG average in those 3 games.Neither Durant nor Westbrook played particularly well. And let's not pretend like the shots Klay was hitting were wide open. He hit some insane shots while his teammates continued to be shook.

Not only that, but he also had the defensive assignment on Klay when he went off on his three-point run and lost them that game.

I am bitter that he left for the Warriors. It was a weakass move and made the NBA worse as a whole.
And it's high comedy to see Durant try to act as though he's somehow a victim in all of this.
"Wiggins has never been a good defender but if he was in a different situation, he could be one of the best defenders in the league!"
Not sure about this...

By reilo Go To PostIt's high comedy for you to diminish his skill and talent and career accomplishments. When have I done that?
He's incredibly skilled, talented, and accomplished.
I simply think that him joining GSW was weak as hell. I don't think OKC fans are alone in that assessment.
By IWMTB19 Go To Post"Wiggins has never been a good defender but if he was in a different situation, he could be one of the best defenders in the league!"Not to mention that the offense wouldn't be running through him and when the only thing he can offer a team requires him to handle the ball, that's not a good combination.

2) "He lost us the WCF series" while ignoring Westbrook shitting the bed 1000x worse
1) I already explained the David West comparison. At least West has the honesty to own his ringchasing.
2) He didn't play as well as he usually does or as we've seen him play before in big moments.
We've seen Slim Reaper KD mode many times. He wasn't that throughout last season and especially wasn't that late in the GS series. Russ also didn't play that well, which I readily admit. Maybe it was never gonna really work with him and Durant. I can admit that's a possibility.
What pisses me off is him acting like the victim. His friends and circle have convinced him that he doesn't carry any of the blame for how fans have reacted to him.

Hello, enjoy your guaranteed title this year and probably next.
Do the Knicks have two second rounders this year? A year where Knicks have tons of picks, I better enjoy it while it lasts.
