By blackace Go To PostCan we just start the playoffs?Agreed
By chandlerparsons Go To PostIt's been pretty good as a Rockets fan. Regular season's gonna be more entertaining for us than whatever happens in the playoffs.
Maybe. But for the most part 80% of this season has been about seeding in the west (out side the top 2) and east (out side CLE[though watching CLE possibly implode because they had to play 82 games with each other is hillarious])
The bottom was settled early, and out side of miami, no real surprises.
Wow, no way, even though my team fell apart for half of it, this season has been great. Scoring is through the roof everywhere. The MVP race is epic - Westbrook & Harden are having seasons nobody's ever had before, and Kawhi might deserve it over both of them. And Curry & Durant have been lurking behind them.
There have been lots of surprise teams - everybody except Dy had Washington given up for dead, they look great right now. Since Middleton came back Milwaukee been legit AF. Until Waiters went down, Miami were looking like a team that had come into their own too.
In the West, Utah look like they've got something big cooking and Gobert's graduated from "big athletic guy" to "defensive monster" status. He's Dwight without the highschool girlfriends.
And Houston became 7 Seconds or Less 2.0, they've got a puncher's chance at taking the whole thing if they can catch fire at the right time.
And can we talk about how great a shape the league is in with young bigs? The Boogie + AD teamup. KAT. Embiid looking like 21st century Wilt, if he could just stay on the court. Giannis (though I guess he's not big, just tall). Even Porzingis. This is a new golden age.
And you just had a 20 year old kid on your team drop 70!
In the end, coming into this season we thought there'd be 2 teams and then everybody else, and that Golden State was probably going to be unbeatable (I guess they still might be, but they're not out there going 78-4) and suck all the drama out of the year. Instead, we've had a season full of records and a lot of really memorable events.

Also, talking about surprises...
What on earth was Phoenix doing with Tucker all these years?
This team was like 23rd in D when he & Ibaka got here and were looking soft as charmin. This is the kind of thing that usually only happens during free agency fan fiction.

I don't get it.
They played him a lot.

The guy's been a one man army/player coach. He calls huddles on the floor. He goes after the other team's best player like they massacred his village. He called a player's only meeting after they lost two games and called out DeRozan for his effort on D & lack of passing and he listened.
Was he just not doing anything like that in Phoenix? Or is he just hyped up because he's heading into free agency & finally on a playoff team?
By giririsss Go To PostThis year has had one of the most … un-entertaining regular seasons in recent memory.Nah. I've enjoyed all the record setting th( has gone on this season.
Found my self watching the least amount of games in a really long time.
The thing I don't care for is how much the 3 has taken away from the mid-range. :(

I watch Raptor games, I have no idea what you're talking about.

He always been an elite defender. He just played on PHX all these years

As much as I'm LOVING kwahi's development into the best both way player in nba I just don't see Spurs winning this year unfortunately. But this season has been fantastic
This year was great for me until Embiid went down. Still we have 17 more wins than last year...so I can't complain

I had fun until the Wolves a starter and a rotation player and then threw in the towel on the season. Now they're only one game ahead of a pack of teams for the fourth worst record and it feels bad again.

Thibs hasn't even used Dunn at point guard in weeks. (Because he can't run an offense.) They're basically hoping he can be Tony Allen good now.

By diehard Go To Postit was 94-78 with under 5 minutes bwahaha
I've never seen a team sit with two superstars and fail to put any pieces around them, longer than LAC have.
By giririsss Go To PostI've never seen a team sit with two superstars and fail to put any pieces around them, longer than LAC have.i think its the opposite, its the fault of the superstars.

But the pieces around them aint great.

By s y Go To PostI'd say that's great for a rookie. Not many people in the league are doing that.It would be great if he was doing that for the whole season.
ROTY good this year.
By s y Go To PostI'd say that's great for a rookie. Not many people in the league are doing that.It would be great for a rookie if he had looked like that most the year.. but we are talking what 15 to 16 games?
But you are right that for a rookie if he looked like this for 80 games he would be putting up Curry / Ray Allen type rookie numbers..
Everybody loves to hate on the Clippers but there are 25 teams in the league who would kill to have their sustained success. Too many fans out there believing their management's stories about how they're not like those other teams that settle for becoming good, no, they're building for a championship!
