Bill Simmons called Lonzo Ball a potential superstar in his mailbag:
RIP Lonzo's career.
Q: Celts get the first pick, who you taking?
— Andy, Leominster, Mass.
BS: Lonzo. You don’t just get a potential superstar; you get someone who generates a completely different rhythm for your team. Lonzo shows up and suddenly you’re pushing the ball with pace, you’re always making the extra pass, you always have your hands up, you’re always moving downhill. He’s contagious.
Stick Lonzo on any NBA team and they’re better within two months. Any of them. All 30. I think he’s brilliant.
RIP Lonzo's career.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostHe's not qualified for the job. He's qualified for teaching guys how to survive being an NBA player in terms of the lifestyle and shit, but he's not qualified to be leading guys to win in the modern NBA. This shit is no joke now. Guys are better than ever and need HELP. Legit need help from str8 up experts who've evolved with this game or at least been a part of a staff to see how it all goes down.
Basically. Being a player and a coach are 2 very different things.
By Zeus Ex Machina Go To PostIf the lakers get #3 do they make a trade to go to #2 for Ball?If they are willing to part with Ingram or something else equally valuable and the #3, it's a possibility. It takes a lot to move up at that high of a position in the draft.
I refuse to believe they would give up that much, though.
By s y Go To Postkibner. O/U for Pels/Rox is 232, what say you?I don't know. Probably the under?
By s y Go To PostNo reason to not be clean cut about it.

By Moris Go To PostIf Dennis Smith falls to NY at 7, that's such a come up.Until his knee shatters into a million pieces the second Silver hands him a Knicks cap... Smith is nice but I'd rather not take anyone with injury history given our history.

By knux-future Go To PostJosh Jackson probably should be drafted first so Ball may be there at 3 anywayno way a GM takes Jackson over Fultz
By pkaz01 Go To Postno way a GM takes Jackson over FultzIf you don't need a PG, then you might. Fultz also didn't win games (not his fault always but still) and has secret knee issues..... I just never saw the slam dunk sure fire thing people acted like he was.
of course this could be due to use being out of the running for him....... (league will not have us tanklords win the lottery twice and further validate tanking....).

By blackace Go To Postword?worth noting I am god awful at prognosticating who is good or not...but yeah I think he has all the tools to be what people wish Wiggins is.

I just never saw the slam dunk sure fire thing people acted like he was.It makes sense, but I think most teams just go for BPA at this point instead of taking the risk of missing out on someone with as much hype as Fultz.

By Moris Go To PostI'd be happy just to keep the pick. Gimme whoever.Magic knows where the bodies are buried....don't worry.
I don't get Lue.
Derrick Williams averages double figures, off the bench, through two 10-day contracts. Then you sign him long term, and take him out of the rotation? Why?

By pkaz01 Go To PostIt makes sense, but I think most teams just go for BPA at this point instead of taking the risk of missing out on someone with as much hype as Fultz. It's makes little sense... because why pick the 3rd best player at 1 when you could trade the pick to say the 3rd team drafting and get 2 future 1 round picks... shit the Magic got 3 picks and Hardaway for Webber

Would be interesting if a team actually trades down like that though

Yeah I am on the Fox/Monk/Ntilkina train unless the Knicks move up. I prefer Ntilikina cause defense but watching Monk and Fox I would be ok with either of those guys as well.

Wait, doe the celtics have 2 different sets of cheer leaders.
A dance team, and an actual set of formation cheer leaders?

There's 8 minutes to go. All time record for a 20 year old is 56 for LBJ.
PatBev riled up after that Cousins push-off non-call and tech. 5 points for the Pels and he got em right back.
