By Kibner Go To PostSolomon Hill might reach that in points produced tonight. He is finally putting together all the things I have seen him do individually in games, occasionally, but never consistently throughout the season: hitting open threes, driving to the rim and getting to the line, solid defense, secondary facilitator, and running the fast break.
Just give me half this output on a more consistent basis and I would feel a lot better about his contract and future.

By Kuma Go To PostA lot of Danny Ainge contribute in the NBA. Thats all you can ask for given his draft position and the nature of the NBA draft.Contribute to what?
1st round picks
2016
03, Jaylen Brown
16, Guerschon Yabusele
23, Ante Žižić
2015
16, Terry Rozier
28, R. J. Hunter
2014
06, Marcus Smart
17, James Young
Picked ahead of, 13, LaVine. 14, TJ Warren, 16, Nurkic.
2013
16, Lucas Nogueira
Picked ahead of, 20, Snell, 17 Schoder, 22 Mason Plumlee, 24 Tim Jr, 21 Gobert.
I mean, half of those guys aren't on the team;
Nogueira is in Toronto, and was playing really useful minutes.
R.J. Hunter now in chicago look like he's going to china soon.
Yabusele still in france
Zizic IN china
So of the 4 picks (out of 8) that are still on the team. They all play either PG (Smart, Rozier) or SG (Brown, Young). A spot that their two actual best players, Bradley and Isaiah play most of the minutes at.
That's a pretty bad bit of drafting return from 8 first round picks, the further you go back, the worse it gets too. It's not that he missed out on super stars, it's that he missed out on guys who can even contribute a lot more. The team could be
Gobert, Horford, LaVine, Bradley, Isaiah.
By Smokey Go To Posttold you kibnerHaha, the opposite of what I was expecting. Guess that hour and 45 minute drive really did the Rockets in.
I hate James Harden's game so much at times lol. Grab a defenders arms and flail - get three FTA's.....Though I hate the refs/league more for enabling it.
Harden's game doesn't injure anyone, so I'm putting it squarely on the refs for letting such tactics work. Don't hate the player at all for taking advantage of it.
By Kibner Go To PostHarden's game doesn't injure anyone, so I'm putting it squarely on the refs for letting such tactics work. Don't hate the player at all for taking advantage of it.Definitely don't blame him either. If I had his talent I'd do the same.
Still hate watching it though.

You can definitely hate the player for abusing an exploit. Just because one exists doesn't mean you have to do it every game. When hack'a'big was a thing, it wasn't done every game, for the entire game.
Many other similar things.
Hardens found an exploit, and is abusing it.
It's entirely on the refs and league to shut it down though. Because if this shit ever wins a chip, i'd probably stop watching a copy cat league. It's not interesting nor entertaining.
Harden isn't exploiting anything. He baits defenders to reach when he drives the ball and they keep reaching so he punishes them.
By s y Go To PostHarden isn't exploiting anything. He baits defenders to reach when he drives the ball and they keep reaching so he punishes them. He's not taking legitimate shots. They're not legitimate scoring opportunities.
And half the time, the he's generating the entirety of the contact.
By s y Go To PostHarden isn't exploiting anything. He baits defenders to reach when he drives the ball and they keep reaching so he punishes them.No it's when he goes around a screen at the 3 point line and stops and jacks up some godawful three with the slightest contact. Sometimes the contact is from his own man. It's not a real shot, it's a shot entirely designed to get free throws.
They eliminated the "swipe through" because it was an unnatural motion. What he does is just an unnatural shot.

Drafting is a crap shoot, especially outside of the lottery. All you could hope for is that your dude is not a bust. If you want hold Danny A accountable for not finding multiple stars outside the lottery then you better do the same for the 29 other teams.
dam miami is really going to be over .500, lol psy was happy to tank just a few months ago.
LA cheating on the tank, no one stops their movement.

Solo only slightly edges this out as my favorite thing from tonight's game, right above hearing the stories of the Rockets bitching about having to stay at L'auberge in Baton Rouge and gamble late into the night:

Zizic in france.
Both still not on the team. Promising.
I didn't hold him accountable for not drafting superstars. I held him accountable for not drafting contributors. Or, better contributors, at more relevant positions for his team. Which he could have easily done. And you've listed 3 players out of 8 as contributing. Astounding (Brown has only jsut started to look nba competent) return from 8 first round picks. Particularly when one of them, Smart, is extremely subjective in that respect.

He has been out with illness for a month now. Like, I'm legit concerned for his health and well-being at this point.

I guess he is still struggling to get better? If so that is concerning.

Yabu and Zizic not on the team because there isn't a roster spot for them. That is why we stashed them.
Smart always contributing. He may not put up numbers but he does goon stuff.
I listed 4 other 8 (Kelly,Smart,Brown, & Rozier) that contributes. Thats good.
Just wanted to give credit where it's due to the Miami Heat. They clawed their way back into playoff contention after starting out as a lottery squad. Great turnaround for them this past month+. Hopefully they maintain it and secure it.
By diehard Go To PostBooker is streaky afHe definitely is, but man when he is on its a wrap. I think he can be more consistent with a real offensive system where he wont have to create 70% of his shots from post ups and isos
By Fenderputty Go To PostIngram getting into the middle of that push fest is comicali like how D'angelo wanted no part of that push fest.
By Kabro Go To Posti like how D'angelo wanted no part of that push fest.
I have to rewatch because I thought the same but he got ejected. Surprised Ingram didn't get hit with one. The ref looked like he extended his finger and almost sent Ingram into the stands hsha

I don't like the offense. It's pretty terrible. But he's basically doing everything for him self. And he's only 20.

3.
The fact that Ainge wins trades is good. Basically why he keeps his job.
Doesn't disturb the fact that he's terrible at drafting.
14/20 and he made it look so easy:
Really? lol Who keeps a daily Drake seat-tracking diary but doesn't actually check what he's doing in his regular job?
(You don't have to answer that. RealGM crazies. It's always RealGM crazies).

I'd rather just stay in the third seed rather than get the second seed and go against Miami
