By giririsss Go To PostDon't think the C's are Lottery … but you're 6 - 8seed.
So you lost one close late game? The fuck cares.
We got the Brooklyn pick this year, should at the very least be top 5.
The way we lost yesterday was on some fuckery level. Since IT2 fucked up, it fits into People agendas.

will be sad to see them push IT2 out if they get the 1st pick
By diehard Go To PostThere's nothing to hate about Thomas's scoring ability whatsoever. His defense.. yeah sure.He tries to defend at least

I mean. If those same people say they'd rather keep Smart than they're just morons. Not even worth listening to, morons.
And I don't think Boston were a lottery team before IT2. Since their new coach they've been over achieving.
By blackace Go To PostHe tries to defend at least
He's probably slightly worse than Nash. Both tried, but he's not helping.
But Boston have plenty of defensive Wings. It's not super important.
if bradley gets injured again, boston doesn't make it out of the first round*
*Unless they play Atlanta in the first round.

Main reason I see Ball going first. He could be slotted in as the 2 guard due to height and outside shot

Unless Ullis really is the next Isaiah Thomas.
LA is a Williams trade away from never winn ... ohh.

Yea I am dreading that moment. He did lot for this team/city. Help build a winning culture which is needed in a rebuild. Kind of hoping we pay him off GP.
By Kuma Go To PostYea I am dreading that moment. He did lot for this team/city. Help build a winning culture which is needed in a rebuild. Kind of hoping we pay him off GP.IT2 can go back to being a super 6th man. To be real, if that team didn't teach such an aggressive style of D and have length/versatility at a number of spots he wouldn't be starting.

IT2 Has gone on record many times saying he really doesn't see himself as a 6th man. He's a starter.
It's hard to argue with the year he's having. But i think you're right, it's what would allow a team the most success with him.
By Zeus Ex Machina Go To PostMain reason I see Ball going first. He could be slotted in as the 2 guard due to height and outside shot
Oh i see Ball going first for this reason too. BOS are horrible drafters and it would be hillarious if they took Ball first to play alongside IT2.
By blackace Go To Postif he wasn't starting they wouldn't be winning so there is that….Well... here's what the Celtics need to ask IMHO: If they draft Ball, is he ready to start immediately? Or you do gradually bring him off the bench to learn and start him after the ASB 2018? It's something that many teams wrestle with when drafting a Top 3 guy, but it's so rare for a team that'll be Top 4 in their Conference.

Hard to argue that a rookie PG is going to play better D than IT2 tho at this point..

If they ended up with the 1 and draft Ball.. Joe Dumars will finally be off the hook for that Darko pick..
By blackace Go To PostHard to argue that a rookie PG is going to play better D than IT2 tho at this point..Don't disagree. But it can really only get better.
I wouldn't start either of Fultz or Ball if i'm Cle. To start with. Transition them in. I would want either of them playing 30mpg by the end of the season though.
By blackace Go To PostIf they ended up with the 1 and draft Ball.. Joe Dumars will finally be off the hook for that Darko pick..Trade the #1 in true Boston sports fashion?
The smart thing would be if they draft Ball, bring him around slowly and if he takes off in 2018, deal IT2 over the summer. I don't think Celts deal Brown this soon or Smart (as much of a douche as he is, his versatility/D is effective), so that's my two cents.
By giririsss Go To PostDon't disagree. But it can really only get better.I really like Fultz myself, but I've given up on predicting Danny Ainge's drafts.

Does Smart even contribute to winning basketball?

Also, I think I'm with Ace and I'm kinda in on Robert Williams. I think he's the kind of 4 (rim protection, rebounding) that would fit perfectly next to Towns.

Rodeo, this game is gonna get postponed. The court is still slippery/icy from the Disney on Ice event on Friday.
Carmelo Anthony (sore left knee) will not be available tonight at @OrlandoMagic
ORL thinking they the only one who can play chess in this tank game.

Ron Baker will move into the starting lineup for Monday's matchup with the Magic.Zeus' boy gonna get his shot!
With Carmelo Anthony (knee) unavailable, Jeff Hornacek will go with a small ball lineup featuring Derrick Rose, Baker, Courtney Lee, Lance Thomas and Kristaps Porzingis for tonight's game. In three starts this season, Baker has only managed to contribute averages of 4.7 points, 1.3 triples and not much else on 38.5 percent shooting, so don't get too excited about him entering the starting five tonight.
By reilo Go To PostRodeo, this game is gonna get postponed. The court is still slippery/icy from the Disney on Ice event on Friday. So I've been reading. Apparently the players are saying it's unplayable.
By blackace Go To PostThat lineup…. boy doesn't get much more blatant than that.Well Carmelo is legit sore and it's a b2b. As for the rest of the guys, they can't start Hernangomez since he tends to be foul prone and Robin Lopez is in Chicago.
By reilo Go To PostThe game still might go on if the league says it should. It's fucked.Yeah. Not when every player refuses.
I mean... it would be a "interesting" situation.
By giririsss Go To PostDoes Smart even contribute to winning basketball? He does, but as a complimentary player. He shouldn't be part of a core you build around.

Smart would be so much more important if he was 6'7" and a SF.... Hard to be a goon G...
By blackace Go To PostYou are not fooling anyone.. O'Quinn could have startedDid I mention O'Quinn can be very foul prone also? I mean I get what you're saying, but I don't think KOQ is the missing link that makes the Knicks not tanking. Hornacek likes Lance Thomas because he's a solid defender, and in reality this will be another close game in the 4th where the Knicks will probably lose.

Lance is a decent defender at the 3.. not so much at the 4. I mean the Knicks weren't in great shape with Melo so it doesn't really matter at this point.
Oh Hood is out too, to manage his minutes. DMC and AD might get their first win vs a not garbage team.

Knicks going with a backcourt of Chasson Randle and Ron Baker...
