By Smokey Go To PostDogs are so > cats it's astonishing really.I always knew you were good people.
What's the point of a cat
Cats are great for pest control if you have property. Ours would snag 1-3 things every day when we had acerage.
I have to admit that while his obsession with me is annoying (THERE ARE FIVE PEOPLE IN THIS HOUSE YET YOU ARE ALWAYS IN MY FACE! WHY???), Optimus Prime is a pleasant dog when I am actively dedicating time to him. Here, he is completely cooperative with his monthly bath. Even walked into the tub for the first time.
Here’s my baby Pickle Rick. Rescued her from a pack of feral cats that made their home with this cat lady that had like 14 cats in a one bedroom and they would basically only sleep there but hunt and eat outside. She was 10 weeks old covered with fleas and less than 2 pounds. I’ve had her for almost a month now.
And here she is now.
And here she is now.

To be fair I’m not a cat person AT ALL, but the stars aligned and I ended up with her, and she’s my favorite person right now. I feed her better than I feed myself at this point lol.
I even bought her a giant cat tree.
This is my furry goofball, we just adopted her 2 weeks ago. I grew up with a dog and lived with dogs (not mine) throughout my 20s, but this one is alllll mine.
My cat Muezza, who exudes attitude at all times. She's almost 7 years old now. She's a mix of Russian Blue and ???
This is The Frog. The "babier" of our two twin cats of 1½ years. He's probably the most submissive cat in the world, he trusts everyone and as long as he sees you wanting to pet him, he's your new BFF! :P
The other one, Roffe, is out and about somewhere chasing birds.
Here are the two a couple of moths ago, showing brotherly love <3

This makes me want to get a second cat lol
By Script Kiddies LLCThis makes me want to get a second cat lolAs long as you dont live in too small of a space I say go for it!
When I met my SO she had four cats in her house, The Frog and Roffe were the youngest ones, and they got to come along when we moved to a 4 bedroom apt. The other two we had to put down because it would have been too cramped supposedly. We've even have some issues with territorial space even between these two at first, but luckily we have two stories as well here so The Frog has the upstairs, and Roffe has downstairs :)
Okay guys, I have a problem with my cat...
Let me start by saying this is the first time I’ve had a cat, so I don’t know how they work.
My mother decided to adopt a dog from the street 2 weeks ago, and while it’s a very cute and calm dog, it kept barking non stop at my cat. We thought they just needed a little time to get used to each other, so we separated them but that’s it. They never attacked each other or anything.
The problem is, last week my cat simply vanished. Sure, she’s does that sometimes, but that time she stayed 3 DAYS away. She had never been out for more than one afternoon, she would always come back to sleep.
Like I said 3 days later she returned, probably because it was raining but she was really thin (I got so worried that day) so she was definetly coming for food too. The entire week leading up to yesterday was fine, she was staying home basically all day, but yesterday she vanished AGAIN.
I don’t know if she’s leaving because of the dog or cats just that when they get older. She’s almost 1yo and she is castrated.
Should I ask my mother to give the dog away? Show I just let my cat be? Help me SL&ENT

I have a 3 bedroom house, 2 floors. It’s just me so I don’t think it would be too cramped. It’s about 1900sqft.

It’s about 1900sqft.Then it shouldnt be a problem :) Just remember to get at least one more litter box. We experienced that ourselves. Cats dont like to share toilets with eachother, and if its just one box, then the floor will take most of the... downfall...
My mom will probably be getting a 7 year old (very well raised) beagle, who is in a bad position after a divorce. We previously had a beagle that we had to put down two years ago, which was horrible, so not exactly loving the fact this beagle is this old already. But on the other hand, it's kind of nice getting a dog that is already well raised and not a puppy that will piss in your bed constantly. We live very close and I promised to take care of it, when she is away for work, so kind of excited.

They were wonderful the last time, especially the slow motion one.

with Dy one step closer to being an old cat lady,
I thought it would be a fantastic idea to resurrect this thread.
here's my newest contribution.
my niece's dog, but i ocassionally watch her.
meet Kiba.
she may be cute, but she's a stubborn husky that destroys everything you hold dear.

This thread bump reminded me of PR and his eventual meltdown so thanks for turning into an old cat lady.
By DY_nasty Go To PostThis shedding isn't crazy but it is wild AFBrush the cat every day. When you do bathe it, use some of that special de-shedding shampoo.
Any tips for this?

Lever doors are basically just asking for a pet tall enough or with access from the top of a surface to open 'em anyway.
By DY_nasty Go To PostCat can open doors. My aunt's cat could do that. And then one day she came into her room and pissed in her face while she was asleep.
It wasn't even cute the first time.

Smokey’s disdain for cats has me wondering how many neighbourhood cats have good missing because he neglected the brakes.

Dogs would never have the social or political acumen to literally piss on Boomers.
