Andromeda seems like its even worse than the previous iterations about buttering up the main character way too much

It's not like we didn't see this coming. I'll have fun with it regardless.

Even after the images started coming out, I had a feeling the game was going to be fine in the sense that I rate Dragon Age: Inquisition fine/10. DA:I is a totally playable, competent big budget video game, and if you're in the mood for the thing it does, it will do that for you. But it also falls flat in all kinds of areas which stops it from reaching pretty good/10. I'm guessing ME:A will be the same thing.
I'm also guessing it's a game which will sell based on built-in audience and pedigree but receive a broader backlash and do serious harm to the property in the way that poorly received Gears of War, Deus Ex and Dragon Age sequels did.

In another entry in my ongoing series "Gondo plays games that came out months ago": Uncharted 4.
Wow. Better than Uncharted 2 for me. Everything that happens in Madagascar is incredible. Approaching the end I think.
Torn between diving back into Bloodborne or picking up Zelda for Wii U next.

I really liked 4. Of course I liked 3 too so I am not sure my opinion matters.
And yes almost everything about Zelda is hyperbole.

Ya know, I've been looking for a AAA walking simulator type game. I think I'll pick up UC4 after I finish Nier: Automata.

The first is easily the worst but it's still a good game.
Does Naughty Dog have anything original in the pipeline?

No idea when linear became synonymous with walking simulator, but its wrong.

Yeah, those little goblin guys can be taken out with just about anything. And you don't just get what was in the chest, you also get their parts & weapons. But I only messed around with them early in the game though, after a while they're just an obstacle to be navigated around for the most part. Data's right in that they're usually not worth the effort once you have a decent set of gear. They're mostly just there to let you mess with various combat tricks/open world systems.

If someone says walking simulator I think more of things like Proteus or Everybody's Gone to the Rapture - games that are primarily about navigation of a world rather than action. Uncharted 4 is still definitely worth playing though.

I actually just beat it as well and agree the game is best in Madagascar. Had a really good time with it though I didn't think it was better than 2.
I think Lost Legacy is going to be the best Uncharted game though. Nadine and Chloe are awesome characters and I think its going to be a GOTY contender for sure whenever it drops.

Played some more Battlefield 1 before my trial died and felt myself pretty excited for it but also frustrated. For one, server list is awful--is this game not super populated? There's always only one big time conquest east coast server and there's a lot of nothing out of that from what I can see. I'm concerned the DLC is going to split things up even more.
Smokey how is the BF1 community on PC? Easy to find these 64 player matches? Is it possible to buy this new DLC just by itself without having to get the season pass?

I wonder if Savage Starlight is actually a thing.
Drawn To Death looks a bit depressing to me. Like a passion-project that got too far into development to cancel, but hasn't come together properly. Everything about it looks bad.

Population is fine on PC. The DLC should bring people back too. There will probably be servers that add in the DLC to their rotation. Should be able to filter those and then save it to your favorites (I'm talking about when it gets released to non premium members next week).
You might want to check your filters on the server browser. It's probably showing you games with open slots. If you take all filters off you'll see tons of full 64p servers.
I pretty much just use quick match and I get placed into a slot on a 64p server. I only use the browser if I'm looking for something specific.
I mostly want a straight-forward, guided-tour type of game that is very pretty and allows me to turn my brain off and enjoy the scenery with little fuss.
There aren't that many games like that, unfortunately. :(
Games I have that kinda-sorta fit the bill:
If Uncharted had absolutely no combat, it would fit in right with what I want.

As a bonus you'll get to climb ledges and faux stealth with hahaha funny banter

By GQman2121 Go To PostWasn't Drawn to Death originally free to play until recently? That's probably a good sign…Think its gone from $20, to F2P, to free on PS+ in the space of about 2 months. Stinks of a publisher having no idea how best to cut their losses.

Actually I did kibner, ignore reilo. What these UC shills don't tell you is I dropped it after 2 hours because it wouldn't let me play the game. Forced narrative and faux stealth . I wanted to play and it literally wouldn't let me.
By data Go To Post'Alright I burnt 2 good swords and a shield fighting all these dudes in this outpost. I don't get any experience or anything because thats how Zelda works. But really the only way you could go though 2 weapons on a group is by hitting shields the whole time or the weapons you had were so underpowered for the enemies you were fighting that their drops would have been better than the stuff you lost. Plus at any point before or during the fight you could have stolen one of their weapons and used that instead of your good swords.

People keep trying invent problems with the durability system because it's not exactly like every other game but the game throws so many weapons at you and gives you so many different ways to engage enemies that it really should never be an issue. I've put in about 120 hours into botw so far and the only time I've run low on weapons is when I foolishly wasted them all trying to cheese a shrine puzzle. Even then all I had to do was stealth into a camp, steal a sword and clear it out. Five minutes after having no weapons I was back to leaving shit on the floor and burning though sheilds by surfing everywhere.
What does faux stealth even mean
You sneak around, take as many enemies out as you can before being spotted, then shoot the rest of them. Simplified, sure, but not sure what's faux about it.
