Uninstalled WoW. Think I'm finally done with the game. Had that thought before but the Diablofication of the game turned me off in such a way that they've never turned me off before. Everything is random, everything's a grind and unlike vanilla, the grind rewards are even more random. If you get the item you want, you might not get it to warforge so its no long the item you want. Tier pieces getting replaced by shit from Mythic+ because it titanforged all the way up to 920 or someshit. The dungeons this expansion sucked and the raids are ok at best. I quit during WoD but it took way longer to get to that point. I was burnt out on Legion within a month and only came back recently because of my brother. With my new job and going to the gym more, I realized how much of my free time I blew on this game and that was fine as a kid but now? I got all these other games to play and I should stop playing the one that eats up all my time with no end in sight. The only real thing I liked about playing MMOs was the cooperative aspect that a lot of online games don't provide with an AAA budget.

I don't play Diablo for a reason. Nice thing about the game now though is you can trade all your gold in for bnet balance.

I'm like, 4 hours into the ME: Andromeda early access.

First impressions:

+ Game is a looker when it tries.
+ Feels much more like ME1 than 2 and 3, which is great. Lots of "SPACE! IT'S NEAT!" in this
+ Multiplayer is fun and good.

- The controls on KB + M is a bit unintuitive. Probably will get used to it at some point but still, ugh.
- It's worse with a controller
- Animations suck
- Main character sounds exactly like Nathan Drake.

I've yet to try it with controller but kbm grew on me.

The combat is ace. Seeing those tech combos/biotic combos pop off feels nice.

Playing Mass Effect and the game seems fine.

damn I can't run mass effect at 4k for shit...first game I haven't been able to even while cycling through options...you can damn near put everything at low @ 4k and get barely any fps movement, even when you use resolution scaling the improvement is minimal

might have to go ps4k just for that "optimized 2 da metal" shit

Kojima not building his own engine is to the benefit to all of us and him especially. It'll cut down on his ridiculous development cycle and the engine is great.

I don't trust him to make a great game any more regardless tbh

I'm more hopeful because he'll be under the Sony umbrella and they might be able to help keep him focused in a way that Konami never could.

From a gameplay standpoint, it's the best, Everything works as intended, it's fairly freeform.

It fails with everything else, pretty much. The episodic nature, the lack of content, the unfinished storyline. But the gameplay is top notch.

MGSV reeks of Konami wanting Kojima to make a more broad appealing game. Maybe that's just me. MGS3 is still his best and most intimate story. It's also hard to keep working on the same story for as long as he has. Maybe a new IP/world will get him refocused.

Naw, I think you guys miss the point of how much of a pulp-80s action fan this guy is. His batshitness is more of a homage to the silly action movies of yesteryear interjected with some of his own flavor and Japanese quirks more than anything.

There's far more absurd Japanese media than MGS -- it ranks pretty straight-edge in that sphere. It's just in comparison to the hyper-serious Western videogame storylines that it stands out.

Somehow I still spent over 200 hours playing it. I'm not proud of myself. :(

You're probably being bottle necked by your CPU. I'd check your CPU usage and GPU usage when playing.

Haven't tried it on 4k via DSR yet.

Battlefield 1's sound effects are taken to the next level when played loudly on some speakers. Probably the best part of the game.
