I think I liked Virtue's Last Reward better than 999, VLR might be my favourite VN style game on balance. Haven't played Zero Time Dilemma yet, it reviewed fine (83 metacritic on Vita) though a lot of people seem to dump on it.

TLoU is a 6? Come on now. That game did way too much right to be disrespected like that. There had never been a game that blended cinematics into the action to such a seamless degree, the world was really well realized, and the story didn't treat players like they were 12.

man i've been chillin trying to get a full research tree lol. got tier 3 weapons and armor, damn near all breakthroughs and i haven't even researched the codex brain yet
early and mid-game are brutal, but you gotta get that resistance ring early

I been playing DotA most of my adult life and I still suck. 3700 MMR last time I bothered to play. And that's after a massive losing streak.
The "roamer" meta has me shook. I used to be able to time gank attempts, but a perma-roamer during early game gets me rekt.
With Tekken, you can just stick with one character for the first 100 hours, get your destroyed, and learn how to fight against everyone with that character. When you start winning more than losing, it's time to pick up another character.
At $35, I have considered double-dipping since most of the people on GAF play on PS4 (I'm on PC). I'll wait until Black Friday/Christmas to make a decision.

reviewers can barely do anything right and I'm supposed to believe they were able to control AND have fun with what is one of the worst controlling games of all time?
Am I alone in looking at what reviewers don't say as much as they do say? Then again, I look for meaning in most things I read. If the guy is an apparent fan of the game, what are typical things fans overlook? If it's someone that hates the game, are the reasons legit (to me)? Also, is there something haters typically can't see due to their hate?
It's all very subjective, despite anyone pretending otherwise, so I like to couch my opinion of a game review with that in mind. It's different than, say, a TV review where things can be physically measured.
