Not much on the Wii U appealed to me, so I didn't buy one. Same with 360 and XBone. Only got a PS4 because I wanted to play NBA 2K with posters here and Destiny wasn't coming out on PC. My PS3 was basically my Rock Band machine.

The differences between hardware and software enthusiasts are just irreconcilable at this point I think.
I might, MIGHT pick up the Scorpio just to have something to play UHD Blue-ray and whatever exclusives it might have that interest me (none that I can think of right now).

After watching a stream of BotW, I think I may get it later on and maybe during a sale. Zelda coat of paint too strong, it's overpowering my natural hatred of open-world horseshit.

The first expansion "They Shall Not Pass" gives players the chance to play as the World War 1 era French army, fight across four French maps, and take control of the Char 2C tank, the game's newest behemoth class vehicle. A lot of info has already been released on this first expansion, as well as a series of videos posted from expansion content available on the Community Test Environment.
The second expansion is called "Name of the Tsar," in which players will take control of the Russian army and ride "with the legendary Hussars," taking part in the historic Brusilov offensive and Albion assault.
The third is "Turning Tides," which has a naval focus. A new destroyer and coastal class airship will be available, and players will take part in the Zeebrugge raid, and storm the beaches of Gallipoli.
Finally, the "Apocalypse" expansion will include "the most infamous battles of WW1," and introduce the "brutal tools and unique weapons born out of desperation and deadlock," so look forward to a chance to descend even further into the hell of war.

Actually a little shocked how hyped I am for SoM2.. I mean the first game felt like an arena mode in another game.. but I had fun and thought man if they can somehow mesh this together with a world that felt a bit more alive it would be epic.

By livefromkyoto Go To PostI mean, I posted that cut scene. You guys knew.That side quest with the guy freaking out? Yeah that was bad. I'm not sure how it got approved when everything else has been top notch.
I don't know how far Faze is but the story takes a minute to pickup, at least it did for me, it definitely got its hooks into me though once it did. Super interesting stuff. I reached a point in the story where it made me want to read the notes/lore and listen to the voice messages and I never do that.
The human combat is mediocre, no getting around that, but it makes up a small percentage of the game and stealthing my way through them quickly makes them tolerable. I don't think any human encounter has taken me more than 5 minutes to get through.
The robo combat is great, especially post Nora region. I can't ive GG enough praise for how awesome and well designed the world is too. Joy to explore.
I'm loving Horizon tbh.

I'm near the end and I can say that I really liked the story. Great scifi stuff. Great game. Still have so many sidequests and shit to do.

The gameplay is getting better now that it's opened up a bit more--mostly because I'm getting more weapons and combat options. The design choice to have different weapons that are basically the same but shoot different ammo is strange though.

It's great and the 4k checkerboard technique is pretty close to looking native.
I was actually wowed more by Infinite Warfare visually though. That campaign on PS4 Pro plus a proper 4k HDR set is utterly insane in some spots. Horizon is more consistently good looking, but Infinite Warfare is so underrated in the graphical department. The game has its lows because some locales are very basic, but it's big time set pieces are fucking insane.
I don't like COD's art direction so IW doesn't look anywhere near as good as Horizon.
Especially once you leave Nora territory and you see deserts, jungles, cities etc
