By masud Go To PostMy original point wasn't even about review scores, I could care less about those and whether or not they're being manipulated by the Nintendo mafia. I just said that to me Zelda looks more fun to play than Horizon and got mad when people tried to imply that this was only because of some hidden bias. It's fine if you don't like something that I like just don't try to tell me why I actually like it.I got no problems with people saying I grew on this shit so I am in... I was just curious how Zelda looked better... gameplay wise or otherwise...
Zelda looked like Zelda 1 in 3D mixed with Dark Souls. Until Psy's impressions (and previews popping up), Horizon looked like a Ubisoft game with dinosaurs. Biggest reason why I was looking forward to BOTW more than the other. And...Nintendo's track record is a lot more solid than the Killzone devs. That said, Horizon looks great.
Watching the Horizon quicklook and damn that thing looks boring as fuck, even with Jeff stating his love for it every 2 minute. Just looking at those menus with the dumb ass crafting and the far cry map is enough for me to not want to play it. Enough of this style already.
Those graphics though.

By blackace Go To PostI got no problems with people saying I grew on this shit so I am in… I was just curious how Zelda looked better… gameplay wise or otherwise…I'm still curious how you think they're the same game? I mean, I don't know how deep of a game play discussion we're gonna have about two games neither of us have played but yeah Zelda looks somewhat more fun to me. Like I said I like (what appears to be) the more experimental sandboxy design. I like how interactive everything looks. It looks like a game I can fuck around in for a long time (Horizon looks like a game whose main story I'll blow though and never touch again). Nothing to do with nostalgia. I don't see how thats a baffling position, especially when there are people out there who after playing both games say shit like this: "Having just completed it, we couldn’t help but think of Horizon Zero Dawn while playing Breath Of The Wild, and how simplistic it now seems compared to Zelda."
Now Nintendo could have this guys family tied up in a basement somewhere but if they don't you may have to concede that Breath of the wild may look more compelling to others than it does to you.
And Dy I see though your dog whistles. Console racist... ;)
Gaming Central for Metro Uk thought they were the same to go out the to compare is how you know that they are going to continue to be compared as the game genre... We will see if any non- click bait opinions come out on it. But if your point has nothing to with scores or if Nintendo is punking dudes why you are you still talking about it?
Am I wrong to put Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword in a similar category to Shadow of Mordor, where the way they were perceived a month after release was completely different to the way they were reviewed and immediately regarded?
To a lesser extent, but I definitely get the impression that they're not looked back on anywhere near as fondly as you'd expect from the reviews
Maybe the criticism is just louder than the praise

Played horizon last night. Game is a looker for sure. Gameplay isn't grabbing me just yet but it's very early days. One of the worst starts to a game ever though... Like two hours of tutorial hand holding.

Zelda is def. more fun than Horizon to me but they are hardly comparable. I'm sure a lot of people will like Horizon better.
By reilo Go To Posttbf Gamespot did give Skyward Sword a 7.5No it doesn't. Maybe you should go read that again. He got fired for the Kane and Lynch review which he gave a 6/10. That was a year after he reviewed Zelda.
But Edge gave it a 10/10 so *shrug*
Then again, the only reason Giant Bomb exists is because of a 8.8 rating by Gerstmann. So if you want an example masud, read upon that if you don't know the story.
By Mister0079 Go To PostVery worried about this game
Not sure I'll even preorder it, and I preorder any old AAA shite.

Willful ignorance towards not being able to tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps is so bizarre to me. Like, you can obviously tell the difference, why maintain that you can't see and feel a difference? Is it just to feel better about a games particular situation?

At Xbox, we put gamers at the center of everything we do and remain committed to giving you the freedom to play the games you want, with the friends you want, on the devices you want. This year is shaping up to be an exciting one for gamers. As we prepare to launch Project Scorpio this holiday, bringing the most powerful console ever made to the Xbox One family of devices, we continue to make platform improvements to connect the growing community of players on Xbox Live and add to a robust and diverse portfolio of games across Xbox One and Windows 10.
Today, we’re continuing our commitment to give you more options to diversify and expand your library of games with Xbox Game Pass, a new gaming subscription service coming later this spring. Xbox Game Pass gives you unlimited access to over 100 Xbox One and backward compatible Xbox 360 games – all for $9.99 per month.
With great games from top industry publishers such as 2K, 505 Games, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Capcom, Codemasters, Deep Silver, Focus Home Interactive, SEGA, SNK CORPORATION, THQ Nordic GmbH, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft Studios, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and you will always find something exciting to play across a variety of genres. Some of the fan favorite titles coming to Xbox Game Pass when it launches to the broader Xbox community in late spring include, Halo 5: Guardians, Payday 2, NBA 2K16 and SoulCalibur II.
One of the best things about Xbox Game Pass is that you can discover and download the full titles directly on your Xbox One. That means continuous, full-fidelity gameplay without having to worry about streaming, bandwidth or connectivity issues. In addition, all Xbox One games in the catalog – and related add-ons – will be available to purchase at an exclusive discount for Xbox Game Pass members, so you can make the games you love part of your permanent library to play whenever you want. Every month new games will cycle into the subscription with some cycling out, giving you a constantly updating library of games. Xbox Game Pass is your ticket to endless play.
It’s important to us that Xbox Game Pass provides an enjoyable and seamless experience. Before the program rolls out to the broader community later this spring, we’ll be testing Xbox Game Pass with select members of the Xbox Insider Program in the Alpha Preview ring, starting today with a very limited number of titles. The titles that are available in Preview are just a small glimpse at the expansive catalog of games that will be available when Xbox Game Pass launches late spring. Xbox Live Gold members will also be receiving exclusive access to Xbox Game Pass prior to the program launching to the broader community. We’ll have more details on timing closer to launch.
We hope you enjoy Xbox Game Pass and all that it has to offer. We’re looking forward to hearing the feedback from the gamers in the Xbox Insider Program and then from the rest of the Xbox community when it’s broadly available later this spring. Your feedback will make this program better for all gamers.
Thank you for your continued passion and support of Xbox.

That's pretty good.
TP is my least favorite 3d Zelda game but it's still a good game, I'd give it the same score Gertsman did actually...

I've played all the 3D Zelda games that are on consoles ( I don't count Hyrule Warriors), the worst is Skyward Sword by far. Stupid controls and an empty world to explore. I'm playing Twilight Princess HD now and while the start is awful and a slog to get through, the dungeons are fantastic and I like Midna as a Navi replacement lol
LIST TIME
1) OoT
2) Wind Waker
3) Majora's Mask (whew this game)
4) Twilight Princess
5) Skyward Sword
I wonder where BoTW will end up, I'm expecting it to be honestly incredible. Can't wait.

By Suen Go To PostZelda stopped being great after A Link to the Past. What a terrible game serie.nah, LTTP is gutter trash. Zelda 1 was the only one i would consider decent.

I wanted to reply with that gif of a guy doing a backflip from a wall but i dont know where it's from and what it is.
Have a Horizon stream going in the background but it made me wonder: when will we have powerful enough machines that we no longer need to worry about hair clipping through objects?

looking at some Zelda gameplay, even some mechanics/controls are shared with Horizon lol. You press down on the d-pad to alert enemies or call your horse.
By masud Go To Postconsole racism.wow
By s y Go To Postif even disney still has problems with that then idkThat's part of why I'm wondering when it will happen. The lack of interaction between objects is one of the few (only?) remaining visual immersion breakers for me.
WW
SS
MM
OOT
TP
Thats my list but to be fair I didnt really play OOT or MM when they first came out. Zelda didnt grab me as a kid, the first Zelda game I actually played though start to finish was WW in college. They're all excellent except for TP which id say is just good.

Netflix Xbox could be interesting but it'll obviously depend on the library. Those first few titles don't sound too promising though.
If you played Madden at 30 frames you would know something was wrong right away.

Whether you're consciously choosing is one thing, but subconsciously you're able to tell the two apart almost immediately. Your experience with games wouldn't matter.

Everything outside of the town in MM was lacking to me. Not gonna lie the time mechanic made me a little anxious while playing and lessened my enjoyment. The town was awesome though. As far as TP i don't know what it is about that game but the whole thing was just a chore to play though, the controls were a little wonky, and the game is drab as fuck. Some really good dungeons saved the game for me, I got close to the end but never beat it.

I always thought it as some kind of badge of honor or something
I can understand somebody not being able to tell the difference between say...60fps and 90fps+...But to say you can't tell the difference between 30 and 60 is you lying to yourself and everybody else
