Hype slowly rising. Prob gonna go for top 50 in PlayNow and keep it moving.
Running into a lot of suckas in GOAT league that keep using fuking Warriors or even MJ Bulls and I'm eating with Rox. Dudes run nothing but 5 out PnR and then don't know how to react once I adjust defensive screen settings along with off ball Help options, and take away that first read (usually Steph PnR with Durant) About to get my PNO $tat$ up from jump in 2k18.

BF1 is now on EA Access on Origin and XB1. TF2 hit last week

Electronic Arts is once again attempting to revive the NBA Live series this year. Today, EA announced the details of an upcoming demo and revealed NBA Live 18's cover star, but more interesting is a sizable discount being offered.
Anyone who pre-orders NBA Live 18 will get 33% off–dropping its price in the US from $60 to $40. That's an unusual offer for any company, and certainly not the type of thing you'd expect to see from EA. But it's a smart move given the dominance that the NBA 2K series has over the market–an edge in price can only help to boost sales, as EA found over a decade ago when competitors like NBA 2K5 and NFL 2K5 were released for only $20.
I'll let the SLAENT basketball video game experts mess with the demo and let me know if it is worth buying.
If Dragons Dogma randomises the enemy locations in the open world, I'll buy it
Doubt that'll happen though

Gonna check out the demo and with EA Access you get 10 hours of the full game days before release. So there's plenty of opportunity to determine if it's trash.

This thing isn't even in the HK or JP stores, I gotta make a NZ account to download it. 25 GB too.
Fuck.
Edit, made the NZ account, lemme know who wants the e-mail and pass to download the demo earlier. Or just wait until tomorrow like a grown up.

Wouldn't EA make more money by, I don't know, not developing a fucking NBA game that is doomed to fail at any price?
Why not try (or try again) to revive their NCAA license? College football and basketball should have videogames. There's money to be made and we know the NCAA loves money. How is this still hung in litigation?

There shouldn't be another NCAA game until players are paid for their labor and have a say in licensing their likenesses.
By KingGondo Go To PostThere shouldn't be another NCAA game until players are paid for their labor and have a say in licensing their likenesses.I agree they should be paid SOMETHING. But their likenesses don't ever have to appear. Leave the editing to the community like every other game. It's a real shame.
By GQman2121 Go To PostWouldn't EA make more money by, I don't know, not developing a fucking NBA game that is doomed to fail at any price?probably less about making money and more about not letting 2k have complete ownership.

there's still money to be made even if it doesn't outsell 2K. Isn't Fifa and Madden like 2 of the top 5 grossing games on consoles? ultimate team is a beast.
It has to be about Ultimate Team.
EA with Live is basically in the same position that Take Two was in with their 2k Football attempted reboot a few years ago. That didn't go so well.
I also don't see anyone trying to challenge Sony with a baseball game. 2k tried, and failed, and now The Show is the only game in town. Hockey too!
EA - Football - hockey - soccer - (is NASCAR this still a thing for them?)
Sony - Baseball
2k - Basketball
Konami has actually made huge strides with Pro Evo this generation too but that sport is big enough to support two games.

By data Go To PostI don't know about the depth of it at all but Gigantic is so good looking god damnEh. The UI is way too busy and there are way too many colors such that the eye gets overwhelmed and things start blending together.
e: i've put nearly 30 hours into it and it's fun, but the graphics make it hard to see what's going on a lot
By Kibner Go To PostEh. Especially compared to something like Lawbreakers that felt much harder to focus on the action

One of the characters in the game is called 'Uncle Sven' and hes creepy as fuck and talks like Mickey Mouse
he's a healer and one of his lines is 'I think this one heals' in the Mickey Mouse voice and it kills me every time

Finally finished Wolfenstein today. Great game, it's easily one of the best single player FPS campaigns I've played, probably the best since Undying.

He's pretty difficult, too. Depending on both team comps and game flow, you have to skill him up differently. And he isn't effective unless you have great aim with slow moving, high arc trajectory projectiles. You also need to know when to use and not use your various abilities and their combinations.
Basically, Sven owns.
By Kibner Go To PostThat's my main and pretty much the only character I play. lolSo far I've enjoyed Sven, Knossos, Ramsay, Pakko, HK and Char. I really wanted to like Griselma because her design is incredible but she hasn't clicked with me yet. haven't played a bunch of other heroes.
