Finished the first chapter of Life is Strange tonight.
I am part of the 1% of total players who have ever played the game that blamed Chloe.
I tried to find a place to hide four times, but the closet was trashed, the bed was too small, and the window acted like I wanted to throw away the pot instead of hide outside.
So ???????????????????????
Moving on to chapter 2 tomorrow.
The one decision I *DO* regret is telling the principal. Didn't know he was a drunken stooge. Oh well.

Second night of PUBG and earned my first chicken dinner playing duo with a friend. The intensity towards the end totally validates why this is popular to me. Wonder how much will this game type will get copied in the future (probably a lot).
it was already a copied game type that had been around for years. :p
PUBG happened to hit a good mix of arcade + simulation with an audience that was looking for a better battle royale game.

It's not even ethical to publish a review of a game that is still in early access. GOTY? lol.
It would be better if game reviews took to task games like For Honor if they release a shell of expectations, only to make up for it in later patches as was announced yesterday.
All of that should have been in the initial release, and the game rated accordingly. If a developer/publisher wants to release an update or whatever, then publish an update, but the review itself needs not be amended, because sales were likely impacted accordingly.
Nirolak gives an example of how this works. If you build it, we will come.

I miss pubg :/

Bluehole announced that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has sold more than six million copies in four months since its Early Access launch on March 23, 2017 with peak concurrent users, again surpassing the 422,000 mark with 422,618 simultaneous players at one time on Steam.
Replaying BotW on Switch just confirms to me that it's a generational game.
I'm doing a lot of the same tasks I've done before, but the core gameplay, mechanics, and world feel are just so damn good. It's super impressive how they were able to breathe life and beauty into such a large world.

Watching a sponsored stream and Lawbreakers looks to be a really fast paced, really heavy movement based game. It looks fun and is in open beta right now.
I'll play some rounds with you. I was in the closed beta and didn't really enjoy what I played but admittedly didn't give it many chances.
By data Go To PostI don't get why BOTW is better than Far Cry 2
I think it's a good game so far that feels unfinished in a way. To be fair I'm not super far in.. Maybe 6 hours now, but there's little things Nintendo usually nails that feels a bit off with Botw. The durability system is really annoying, I find the game perhaps a little too minimalistic in regards to its score, agility seems needlessly restrictive... Just to name a few things, but again, I'm a bit early into it.
I enjoyed Lawbreakers . Hopefully they balanced the classes a bit better this, there was one that was pretty much OP from jump.
Once you get the movement down and found a groove, it was really quick and fluid.

I didn't enjoy it at first but I now have enough slots available and it's so easy to find good weapons that I actually appreciate the challenge of having to manage the use of certain weapons.
Increasing the stamina also helps making climb and running less of an issue.
I absolutely adore the world and I'm having tons of fun just travelling around looking for shrines, after 80+h I am still finding places I haven't been before.
By masud Go To PostLol at something other than Botw winning goty. And I still dont get why PUBG is better than H1Z1.it was called car1z1 at one point because vehicles were op as fuck. they're pretty useless in pubg. shooting is better.
it's been awhile since i played h1 so idk if the car thing changed but my other personal issue was there was too much loot everywhere. you drop down wherever, go into one building and you come out looking like War Machine. I like PUBG more because you can search an entire apartment complex and come out with just a pistol, makes it more tense.
I don't know what to feel about Lawbreakers yet. Like... I can't tell what balance is even supposed to be in this game lol
Its like Destiny and CoD had a baby, and UT comes over on weekends to take care of it. Still not sure if that's good or bad.

Fair point. I was thinking of big time devs like EA or Activision at the time, these guys are risk adverse so they tend to follow one others while adding little incremental improvements IMO.
My Pugmire tabletop RPG stuff came in today. My dog, Smokey, is in the credits on page 236. :3
I got the core book, a GM's screen (has helpful common rule references and charts), themed dice, and playing cards for conditions and abilities and such. So happy right now. I need to think of a hook for a game so I can run it with some friends in the next couple weeks.
Who's ready to be a good dog?!

I think I'd like HZD more if the permanent override option wasn't at the very bottom of the skill tree just so I could have a regular mount.
There is so much running through emptiness in that game.

Lawbreakers wants to be Overwatch, until it wants to be CoD - but only when its not trying to be UT.
Game has no identity
I started Evil Within in anticipation for the sequel. It's ok, it's definitely got some flaws but I do like that the combat feels really strategic at times with how many options you have but how little ammo they give you
There's definitely a lot that can be improved with the sequel and they could really have something worth Mikami's name if they nail it. I'm gonna try to finish it cause my friend says the ending is amazing

Hopefully we dont get more on-rail levels in 2..
I wish I enjoyed my time with TEW like you all. Parts of it were incredible, and felt like Mikami reached a perfect blend of what he's known for (action and horror). The rest of the game was a mishmash of attempts at creating and failing to execute a greatest hits of his resume. That jankiness and uneven stearing were anchored to an asylum films-esque horror themed Inception.
They had the blueprint for something amazing, so I still am looking forward to the sequel. Just keep shit like the turret level out of the game entirely.

It has a lot of flaws, I just think the combat loop is fun and I like Sebastian and some of the psychological stuff. Some of the settings were dull but it looks like the sequel is fixing all of that and looks more Silent Hilly town
this mother fucker is the worst though

Sometimes I forget how good Star Wars Battlefront looks. A shame about the design decisions behind the power up and hero systems.
I finally went back and finished off the last boss of P3P. Holy crap that was long. From the last save point to the end of the credits took 3 hours.
Not sure I'll get the next 2k unless they improve the net code. Gonna try to break the addiction.
Even if the net code is fixed, I won't suddenly be good or anything but it makes it a pain to play online. Especially MyPlayer online stuff. I'll still be a bad but at least I won't be a frustrated-by-network-latency bad.

There's always going to be a slight delay from SP to MP. PlayNow for the most part was fine but ProAm and Park where you have tons of different connections going at once....whole different beast.
By Smokey Go To PostThere's always going to be a slight delay from SP to MP. I'm no stranger to latency in games but it just feels fucking awful in those modes. Like, a full half-second or longer delay before my guy starts the animation for my input. It's insane.
