Distributors sent codes for Nex Machina, Black: The Fall, and Dead Cells. I'm gonna be busy....
Sent a request in for Dead Cells back in May, and they said they were out of codes. Better late than never I suppose.

I don't remember if this was posted when it came out, but Waypoint did an oral history of Halo that gives some interesting insight on how much of the series was a happy accident through chaotic development. The craziest thing is how much of an afterthought the multiplayer of the first two games was compared to the actual impact they had.
Its pretty long and doesn't really dive deep into some things I was interested in, but still a good read for fans of Halo.

That final fight in Castlevania is 🔥🔥🔥.
Why is this only 4 episodes...😒. I know It's basically a prologue, but it ends way to soon.
Where is the kid Grant?
Oh yea, this is the best videogame tv series/film, by far.

I really dont care much about Tekken but I'll watch Aris commentate over a tournament of it just to hear him rip on his chat

Absolutely. I have all those games already, might as well offer them up to people here before i dump them at GAF or my other haunts.
unmuted voice chat in pubg since you can hear proximity chat. thought it'd be useful.
dude told me i had down syndrome and he'll murk me in real life for chasing his ass on a bike, and hitting him with that m164a burst to the chest when he came out the house lol

You ever played a Battle Royale game before? I haven't and it took me a second to get used to the curve. If you've played any kind of shooter before, which you have, you'll be fine tho.
I was on my way to having possibly my best pubg solo game. I was stacked. Had 5 kills with 30 remaining players. Level 3 helmet, Level 3 Armored Vest. Kar98k and a M416 . Already caught 2 bodies with that Kar and the Holo attachment. Feeling good.
Running across a field with a building I had a feeling somebody was in. Dude steps out and lines me up. Instantly know he has a sniper. Hit me with 1 shot and my shit instantly went to the red with like 3% life left. Zig zagging and hoping like a mf to get to this tree. He shoots again and misses. Get behind the tree and I'm killing my first aid while I see him moving towards me. Lean out with my M4 --- tat tat tat, let breh know im still fuking alive. Threw two smoke grenades to buy me some more time and im killing these bandages. He still approaching and shooting the tree. I'm finally bandaged up and walk out behind tree with the Holo on the M4 bustin. He's done. I go to loot his shit and bam, a mf one hit me with a Kar98k most likely from some mountain after he heard the battle we were having. All my level 3 shit and my guns gone, gg
Final Fantasy 15 is the first RPG i've played where no character has an arc. Either they remain the exact same way throughout or they change but it's done through thrown-off exposition and not shown the change over time in game. Like 'oh i guess you're just this way now' Did Noctis change because of Luna? Nope, changed because he went in the crystal. Prompto? Randomly a robot just cuz. Ignis? We blinded him so we could change him instantly without showing it. Gladio? Never changes, never grows up despite telling Noctis to grow up all the time.
tbf with Gladio he's basically got nowhere to grow
He starts the game as a bit of a Marty Stu, huge, strong as an ox, completely dedicated to dragging Noctis to fulfilling his duty. The problem is kinda the opposite of never growing, its that he never errs.

FUCKING WON :D
Proper tense match, started off with fuck all, kept racing the blue line, gas meant we had to shack up and heal a couple of times. Happened to flank a duo who were completely geared up, shotgunned them, took one of their M16s and 4x scope.
Stole a jeep to stay ahead of the circle, ended up 2 on 1 in the smallest circle. Mastadon got taken down like a mug and said he'd go to the shooter rather than get healed, since I didn't know where he'd been shot from.
Other guy kept throwing smoke grenades at his feet, but was stood on the edge of the smoke so we were taking potshots at eachother, got a jammy headshot and the game was won

So... Warframe is going open world
From the video, I'm guessing this is a cool thing? Still don't know what this game is all about.

By Haramism Go To PostIt's also more repetitive than a bad handjobSadly ....yeah
and I LOVE the aesthetics of Warframe as well the amount of improvement the game has seen. Its gorgeous and plays great (most of the time.... well, some of the time mostly) but its a drag to play. Then you throw in time sinks and shit? Cmon man. Let me love you. Warframe has all kinds of Gatcha shit in it too.

Richard took a Ryzen 1700 and disabled 4 cores in the BIOS. He then set the max clock to 3 Ghz. Trying to simulate/guesstimate what Sony/MS might do for next gen. Witcher 3 which could barely hold 30 fps but can do so now after a bunch of patches on consoles, the same settings on PC with the Ryzen CPU saw fps @ 100fps+. And this is a game that was obviously designed around consoles and with no specific enhancements for Ryzen, it wasn't released at the time. Goes through AC Unity and Just Cause 3 as well.
It really is a shame both MS and Sony went with such shitty CPUs tbh.
By data Go To Postlmao arkane patched ps4 prey and made it worseDidn't their first big patch make the frame rate worse as well shortly after release?
is it 2013?
Update: Since I've finished FF15, I'm moving onto my next game as I try to finish all my games before buying another.
It's Bloodborne. I have not played in over a year. I'm resuming a save from god knows when. I think I killed the big boss in the cathedral?

By Hitch Go To PostDidn't their first big patch make the frame rate worse as well shortly after release?Yep. It's crazy, you'd think they were working on something with the cell in it or something. It's not even a demanding game.
Might as well just start a new game with Bloodborne. It's hard enough to know what to do next on a fresh save.

Exit the boss arena, head down the stairwell to the graveyard (the one with the giantS roaming around) and then turn right. Now IIRC you'll see a corridor guarded by a sleeping giant, thats where you need to go! And then you're off to the Forbidden Woods! Just youtube how to find it if you're still lost
No, don't start over, the first area is BRUTAL for newcomers and you're already past one of the biggest cockblocks

I'm one of the few saints Row fans who actually like the entire series (1-4) but GooH is pure garbage. I got it for free and I still feel ripped off. It's just Side Missions The Game
And why the fuck do they force Johnny Gat into everything? He's not funny, idk anyone that actually likes him.

By RobNBanks Go To PostAt least she's stereotypical Red Head Woman that's everywhere in nerd cultureI guess but its hard to be too mad at Johnny because he's one of the few major Asian American male characters in gaming
Where as Kenzi is the nerdy redhead that's also a total weirdo/badass secretly but not so secretly. Which is the oldest trope in the book. IDK all the Saints Row characters got fucking awful after 2.
Blackace you seen this?
Pathfinder: Kingmaker is the first single-player computer RPG based on the acclaimed Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. The game invites players to Golarion, a world rich with history, mystery, and conflict, and gives players the chance to claim part of this world as their own.
Pathfinder has considerable depth, not only in its lore, but also in its game mechanics, and in the freedom it offers you to develop your own unique character. You can customize your character with a wide range of classes and powers including specialized archetypes, powerful arcane and divine spells, choosing from a multitude of class abilities, skills and feats. Pathfinder allows players to create heroes (or villains) that fit both their individual gameplay styles and their personalities.
The Story
In the north lies the Stolen Lands, a region that has been contested territory for centuries. Hundreds of kingdoms have risen and fallen in these lands, and now it is time for you to make your mark—by building your own kingdom! To do so, you’ll need to survive the harsh wilderness and the threat of rival nations… as well as threats within your own court.
Pathfinder: Kingmaker is based on Paizo’s award-winning Pathfinder Adventure Path of the same name. You certainly don’t need to be familiar with the story, but if you are, you will encounter characters you know and love. Either way, you will experience a host of brand-new events, companions, allies, and threats that expand and enhance the original Adventure Path. With help from Paizo and their authors, the story and quests have been expanded by RPG writer Chris Avellone and the Owlcat team, allowing for even more adventure in the already rich narrative of the Stolen Lands.
While Pathfinder: Kingmaker is a single-player game, you won’t be adventuring alone. Pathfinder: Kingmaker features a diverse cast of companions and NPCs, including iconic characters from the Pathfinder setting itself. You’ll need to decide who to trust and who to watch carefully, as each companion has an agenda, alignment, and goals that may differ from yours. Your journey will become their journey, and you’ll help shape their lives both in the moment and well into the future.
Your Kingdom
We chose to adapt the Kingmaker adventure path because it features a host of open-world mechanics, allowing players to experience the story at their own pace as they explore the Stolen Lands, which will challenge you as both an adventurer and a ruler.
Most importantly, the game allows you to claim these lands as your own, letting you carve your own kingdom from the wilderness. While classic dungeon crawling and exploration lie at the heart of this adventure, diplomacy, politics, and the ability to lead troops in the field are also part of the challenge. Choose your allies well, and keep them close while exploring ancient tombs and ruins—and while dealing with politics in your own court.
As you’ll discover, building a kingdom goes beyond simply building a stronghold: Your kingdom is a reflection of your character and your choices throughout the game. It is a living thing shaped by your alignment, your allies, and your ability to lead your people. Not only can your kingdom expand, opening up new territories and allowing you to build new towns and communities, but your capital city will physically change based on your decisions, your policies, and even whom you choose to ally with. As your kingdom grows, a number of factions and neighboring countries will come to you to seek favor—and to test your strength.
If you fail, your kingdom will be destroyed, but if you succeed, you’ll have made a nation where countless others have failed.
Your kingdom awaits! Do you have the strength to rule it?
