I want to live in a timeline where Epic made a Rogue Trooper/Fr1day game.
Got into MyTeam for first time since 2k17 release. Running into dudes with squads like this and beyond
Only for me to bust dey heads and get hit with that "Your opponent has left the match" once they down by 15+
This mode nice tho, might dedicate more of my 2k time to it in 2k18

15 bux in my steam wallet after refunding bayonetta
give me a rec i like mostly everything except fantasy-based rpgs and dota shit. something that's not mp is preferable. i have most of the well-known aaa titles already, so maybe an under the radar title.

American/Euro Truck Simulator 2
Elite Dangerous (if you like space truckin')
Anachronox (old sci-fi western RPG)
Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons
Child of Light
Darkest Dungeon
Dear Esther (warning: walking simulator)
Divinity: Original Sin
Everyday Shooter
Microsoft Flight Simulator X
Octodad: Dadliest Catch
Project Highrise (spiritual successor to Sim Tower)
Rocksmith (if you have a guitar/bass and want to learn)
Songs2See (if you want to practice/learn any instrument; requires sheet music, iirc)
Spintires
The Stanley Parable (really odd walking simulator)
Transistor (excellent music)
What Remains of Edith Finch (my newest purchased walking simulator, probably my favorite)
There are some that I missed, but these are all pretty darn fun, imo.

I had fun watching the Giant Bomb guys play through Life is Strange but don't think I would ever play through it myself.
Watching some Bungie lad show IGN around the new hub in Destiny 2
They sound bored as fuck talking about it. Personally a bit sceptical about what they've learned from the first one regarding story presentation and post-game content, though I've admittedly not read anything implying anything one way or the other. As it stands there is an absolute tonne of stuff to do after finishing the main game in the first one, but a lot of that stuff has been introduced through expansions to the base game. There has to at least be a raid soon after release and an arena mode.

they really need to pickup their loot game though
they should add a starting melee weapon to the mix with different skins or something--fists are dumb and nobody really uses melee weapons anyway

That being said, catch me in there playing Soccer because that did look fun.
I'll probably check out HD FF12 sometime in the future but the last thing I want to play right now is Final Fantasy
By Smokey Go To PostNo weapon to start is part of the appeal. You gotta make shit happen with whatever you can find.
almost nothing would change from starting with a loot melee weapon--you're still gonna rush for a gun rather than risk an awkward melee fight after landing--its just that its cooler loot than whats currently available
I've punched dudes to death who had a gun, also had it happen to me once or twice
I think it's fine.

I caved and started Nier Automata on PC.
How do you go through YEARS of development and not realize having faded black bars on screen during cutscenes is fucking terrible? HOW?
Vishnu bless the PC modding community for fixing most of the issues. Goddamn japanese devs.

I got a question about NBA2K18 (NBA2K in general really) if any of you guys can help me out with this.
The last one I played was NBA 2K11. I really want to buy NBA 2K18 to get into MyPark because I've been watching some streams and that shit looks fun. Do MyPark ranks/stats start over every year or are they tied to your account and carry over to every new 2K?

I played it for a few months earlier in the season, it's broken AF. If you start playing early in the season all the cards you have are fucking useless because they just release new cards so the power balance shifts. Starting now is incredible because you can get god tier cards for less than 2k MT and there's dozens of them.
Complete a collection to get a reward card? Awesome! Except they're locked and you can't resell them, and the player unlock you got will be worthless when they release a new card of that player.
Last year they said they'd do away with timed locker codes in 2k17. So they brought them back and if you weren't able to enter the code for a Pink Diamond Kevin Love or Ewing in 10 seconds you're fucked.
Then you had weekly/player challenges (score X with Player Y in 1 quarter, or get X rebounds with Team Y) that were just broken and wouldn't register as completed when you finished them. That's if they add challenges, there's barely any content if you've finished Domination other than playing online.
Also they release stuff like Diamond Kareem with 80+ standing three or some stupid shit. Diamond Wes Unseld had 85 three and you could put a shoe on him and get it to 90+. Plus he was fast enough to guard 3s. You end up playing against 5 out teams just running P&R and spamming threes with big men who can shoot.
That's not even mentioning opponent disconnects costing you wins so you can't get the bonus from going undefeated in a league. Did I mention that if you're in Diamond league, you might get matched up with someone in Emerald league and you'll be playing on Superstar while they'll be on All-Star.
Absolutely trash mode, won't waste my time on it next year.
I wonder how much money and time was wasted on Altissia despite the fact that there's nothing to do in it.

well damn pnlov
you mightve done it for me here
Just be aware of what you're getting into. If you're happy to spend money on VC for packs, avoid the grind, and understand the cards you get in October are worthless in 2 months, then you're fine. If you don't want to spend money you need to invest a stupid amount of time into it.

i had 200k coins that i legit earned and i burned it all on myteam packs lol
13-1 tho i may just keep fuking with it until i get tired of it which may be soon based on your post
Seriously, the pay to win influence is getting out of control. From what I hear FIFA and Madden Ultimate team have a lot more content and don't rely on this sort of bullshit.
What's worse, 2K doesn't support or fix anything. They just have Mike Wang pretend to do shit on twitter. Even so, 2K doesn't even support the community like other games. Look at GTA Online, they get so much free shit so often that it almost offsets the microtransactions. 2K gives you zilch on top of a garbage product. 2K17 is fucking terrible.
As I said you've probably picked the right time of year to get into it, so many cheap cards and it's easy to make some interesting teams. Unless you've got a high tolerance for 2k bullshit it wears thin pretty quickly.
Crash sold more than twice the units Tekken 7 sold in the UK in June, even with Tekken 7 releasing on multiple platforms on the first day of June and Crash only had two days of sales on a single platform.
