i actually haven't played 12 but 8 is basically 7 but the teen angst has been turned up to 11.
By Xpike Go To Postyou only play though nier 2 times, 2nd time as 9s, which still has some new things, then everything else is new contentAnd that 10% wasn't fun at all. Why would I torment myself by playing it again multiple times?
I'm just saying this because if you stopped at Ending A then you experienced like 10% of the story

XDDDDDDDDDD
I mean, the only RPGs I've seen yall not trash are action games pretending to be RPGs. Perhaps that's just not a slaent-approved genre.

By diehard Go To PostI loved 9. Whatever roman numeral that was.I loved nearly everything about it except the loading times. Especially the transition loading times into/out of battles. Felt like that was half the game was battle transition.

I'm playing on PS4 actually. But its absurd how you can't do stuff from any other space-sim ever because for whatever reason, the physics in this game won't let you roll/pitch any faster at 0 thrust vs 100 thrust.
I don't get how you're supposed to evade anything or shake anyone.
By DY_nasty Go To PostThe drifting in this game goes against everything I know.I'm not a control expert or anything, but I have messed with the game enough that there are some thrusters that you just don't have room to bind on a pad.

And why would going slower in space affect how fast you can roll/pitch? I can understand in atmosphere because of air resistance but not in space. I might be a dumb-dumb, though. Physics wasn't a particularly strong aspect of my studies.
Or is this a gameplay over realism thing?
no garbage cans to headglitch behind in space smokey
if you have all that thrust, then your pitch/roll/yaw changes should reflect that. in elite dangerous.... they kind of 'don't' when it comes to dogfighting.
you want a tighter loop? you have to go slower. you want to lose someone in that loop? roll out midway through and floor it and they'll have to fight their own inertia and orientation to reacquire you.
this game is.... i don't know where it is. something is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay off

Not sure whether to replay the Crota raid, the quest-giver gave me a legendary fusion rifle but I presume that's a one-time thing.
Bungie seem to have fucked the difficulty curve for newcomers, without replaying any missions or strikes I'm level 20, doing level 10 missions. And there's no hard mode really, it seems to be a post-game difficulty option.

Not sure I'll bother with the raids, they seem to take a lot of time and organisation just to get them started.
I finished the WD2 dlc. It was alright. Basically a quick and dirty of my thoughts
It's short but pretty good. I got it because it was 50% off on Steam for the Summer sale and I liked WD2 enough that I figure I'd use it as an excuse to come back to it. I usually don't like short DLC, I don't want to bother 'relearning' a game just to play it again for like an hour and never come back but I liked WD2 enough that I figure I'd check it out. There's some fun missions but nothing really super innovative to WD2 or anything. It feels like more of the same, climbing up buildings, hacking cameras, good characters.
Jordi was kind of a disappointment because I really liked him in WD1 because he was the only character to like in WD1 but in 2 he comes off as obnoxious. I don't know if he was always that way and just was amazing compared to the other people in WD1 or if it's just the characters in WD2 are SO much better written.
Lawbreakers has drastically improved god damn
its like a blend of Titanfall 2 pilots and Overwatch. I just wish the art style wasnt boring as fuck

They ever gonna fix Mafia 3? By that I mean polish the bugs and shit? I'm still waiting to buy that.
I don't know.
Apparently you can conquer bits of the map like SA or the first Godfather game, I'm sort of into that. Or maybe I'm confusing it with something else.

Prey has easily become my game of the year at least until August comes around and more competition gets into my hands to play. Yes the game has issues with the exploration aspect being hindered by annoying enemies such as the Mimics but from start to finish I was left completely absorbed in a world that manages to have an incredible cast of characters despite a significant chunk of them being dead. You can tell the station has been lived in through the personality of zones like the GUTS, Crew Quarters, Arboretum etc.
Morgan is a refereshing protagonist as well. The mindgames played between themselves and their brother, the fact that everyone on Talos 1 hates you for things you don't even remember, learning through Morgan's intentions through Transcribes and recorded videos etc etc.
I really hope it gets a sequel. Arkane has yet to release a bad game so far.

FAR CRY 5 TOWERS AND MINI-MAPS REMOVED; UBISOFT SPEAKS UP
DY continues to run out of reasons to shit on ubi
“We really wanted to focus on exploration with a sense of, ‘I’m not sure what to do or where to go’,” Holmes says. “The removal of the mini map was so you’re not staring at a little corner of your screen saying, ‘what’s new in the world?’ You’ve got to actually pay attention to the world and the art side is doing a good job of making sure there are good landmarks to orient yourself. That it becomes more [or] less the game guiding you on where to go, and more of you saying, ‘where do I want to go, what do I want to do today?’”

Finished Mass Effect Andromeda.
They really patched alot of stuff compared to the things I've seen in videos during the earlier days, but it's still having ALOT of issues.
Textures not loading right away, NPCs suddenly popping in or running away, slowdowns or even entire stops during certain scenes (especially driving around in your new vehicle, happening everywhere but mostly on Elaaden), quests being bugged or restarting in a few cases, doors not opening or taking alot of time.
Generally the article from Jason Schreier pretty much confirms it. The engine seems to be a hurdle along with the troubled development cycle
Overall it was a letdown for an ME fan.
And I'm someone that enjoyed 3, despite the major flaws and problems that came with the game.
Andromeda never builds up any form of tension and the ending was the biggest anticlimax I've played in quite a while.
The setting and the outline of the story isn't even that bad, but they just can't pull it off in any way, to catch the players attention and drag him into this new galaxy.
Settling, new power structures, struggle for ressources, emotional bonds on the verge, unknown worlds and other things, all these problems could have been interesting. There are a few quests that are good, but are not part of the main quest. The majority of them is written pretty poor and just uninteresting and I avoided the typical fetch quest shit that offered next to nothing.
Giant maps that are filled with barely anything and animals that are copy pasted with a different color or a few adjustments are part of every world.
It's just a giant waste of time for the player and the developer, they could have made it much more interesting with smaller maps that actually offer something.
Just like the nearly non existing animal world, there are only two new alien races, which aren't designed well or really interesting.
I have to say though, I really liked the crew member from the new aliens. He was one the few crew members that was rather enjoyable.
The rest of the crew is a mixed bag.
Shooting was pretty good and the battles were definitely fun, but the interesting parts also got repetetive at one point.
Item and ressource managment was just overwhelming and it was hardly worth it. It felt convoluted and just didn't offer anything that was really that interesting and was mainly a waste of time.
Everything sounds pretty negative, but I really looked forward to a new title and it was just a step back on so many levels.
You constantly see the shortcomings, lack of time and the troubled development.
Along with a concept that was changed. There is just no clear line and the interesting points, that could work as foundation aren't working out.
A mediocre title that got an interesting setting and alot of promise, but is letdown by so many things.
Could have been alot better, if they would have managed to pull off the main quest. That's sadly not the case :(
