I think my biggest problem with online rpgs like Warframe, Diablo, WoW, etc is just that dungeons are built to be run through a quickly as possible. The only challenge is clear time above all else. It makes it feel like you're playing a clicker, there's no spreading or divergent paths or any of that its just nonstop.

Compared to EQ dungeons or similar where you park your group in a spot, pull mobs slowly and move out of that spot when a rare spawn is up or if you think your group can handle more.

Probably embarrassed because they seemed so adamant that it would only ever be available with their special edition.

Has Gamefly sale written all over it for me. Would like to play that campaign again.

I'll agree 100% on Warframe.

They also take a page from Shadow the Hedgehog, where you have to beat the game multiple times to see the true ending. I regret spending money on this shit.

DAI and FFXV are freakishly similar games. They might as well be siblings.

Played an hour of Let it Die today. Wow This shit is free and puts garbage like Mafia III to shame.

Being large open areas and cities that have a lot of artistic merit but nothing of note to actually do in them or explore in them. Side quests that are even more basic than the most stereotypical side quests where the 'story' for them is done at the mission giver exclusively and its always a fetch quest

bad horse/chocobo racing no one asked for

hold down button combat with lots of instant warping to compensate while occasionally hitting buttons for flashy moves that wind up taking too long to animate. magic being broken as fuck. a cast that no one cares about.

FF15's opening might as well be The Hinterlands.

I posted the previous day of this tournament about 3 pages ago, less talent but way more hijinks/pro wrestlers. Tekken 7 is my favourite fighter to watch right now; VF is dead, SFV feels less hype than IV, KoF is kinda ugly now, and Injustice is cool but too much projectile spam. Tekken's movement and strategy is just crazy at high levels, and there's a deep international base of players who are fucking good.

DoA was fun for a while. Pretty much ran its course at this point.

Injustice's neutral game is cancer. Just disgusting to watch.

I love some Guilty Gear, but they lack the personalities that other communities have. Its fun to watch on a technical level but sometimes I just want fukkery. GG is too classy for that. Its the gentlemen's fighting game.

SF5 needs that new version smell. Still fun, but it lacks the depth and everyone playing knows/feels it.

I'm curious as to how Marvel is going to turn out. I'm not worried gameplay wise. I played that garbage story demo and even I could see the freedom (read: tons of bullshit) the mechanics gives you. That roster is absolute trash though and that matters a lot. Black Panther is DLC? Only like 3 women in the entire roster? No X-men? Dumb as hell.

I hope DBZ delivers.

Guilty Gear was never gonna do numbers like that tbh. It'll always be around, fans are dedicated as fuck and the devs are in return.

DBZ made by Arc is a dream come true. As long as they don't limit it too much like they did with Persona (which I fucking loved despite being barney-tier as a fighting game), then it'll be great.

I think my favorite thing about FF15 is just Square's take on a modern setting. It's so fucking bizarre but I dig it a lot. It's done much better than something like XCX for example but its still weird as fuck. It's like an abandoned modern setting populated 100 years later with Final Fantasy characters. I hated hte 'everything's a fucking scifi beach house' of FF13
