Subscription services seem to be the order of the day.

Make me feel like I own a Dreamcast again.
We’ve learned that SEGA is close to launching a new initiative called “SEGA Forever,” and has already registered Facebook, Twitter and Reddit accounts. SEGA Forever appears to be a subscription-based video game service for mobile devices.
What’s more, BearKiddy told Long that he was initially sent a SEGA Forever survey by SEGA that listed games that could be coming to the service that included Virtua Cop, Panzer Dragoon and Sonic the Hedgehog. If true, this could potentially mark the first time SEGA Saturn games are available to play outside of the Saturn system.

I'd be shocked if there weren't a PC client. Those games kinda suck on mobile.

Prey suffers from immersiveFPSitis
Runs out of steam about two thirds of the way in, and you end up powerful enough evn on Hard that you don't have to think about the combat, and end up just sprinting through areas to get the objectives done

That being said the best part of games like Prey is just exploring the environment and learning about it.
By NinjaFridge Go To PostYeah. The Nightmare scared the shit outta me the first time I saw, then I just set up some turrets and let them deal with it.Yeah, loved the first time through every area. The objective structure was doing my head in by the end though. Like, you'd leave a character in Life Support or somewhere and they'd tell you to go the the Arboretum. 2 long, long loading screens (on console). That same character sends you a message asking you to go back to Life Support to basically pick up the details for a new mission. It became a bit like a Ubisoft game where going from A to B felt like a waste of time in the name of just knocking something off of a checklist.

Solid 7.5
Arkane get away lightly with a few things I think. Faces look dreadful. The way NPC's move around and interact with eachother when unscripted is Half Life 1 standard. Cues for strings of dialogue all over the place, cutting into eachother, playing over eachother, stopping randomly, the wrong transcribe playing when you pick one up.

After getting further along in FFXV, I'm starting to enjoy the combat more. It basically took getting to level 50+ boss fights though. I'm finally having to use things to prevent stop or confusion, and I'm having to make and eat meals that raise resistances in specific fights. I got a couple items (friendship bands) that make link strikes more likely even at far distances. At this point, spells matter more and the way you craft your spells matters too. Like quadcast and such. Before this it didn't even matter if the enemies were resistant to an element. The spell still wrecked. I don't remember the name of the dungeon, but it was challenging. There's multiple paths to take and 3 out of the 4 paths leads you to the same room. Each time you enter the room more enemies spawn and they're all big baddies. One path takes you to the end of the dungeon. I would say about 90% of the combat has been a total snooze fest until this point though. Which is a shame. The game should have been like this from about level 15-20 on.
I also hate that they did the same thing they did in FFXIII. Once you get to chapter 9, getting back to the open world is very limited. So I'm doing as much of the side shit before moving on to liner hell. That also is in itself a problem, because the story becomes a disjointed mess. Barely any of the side quests have anything to do with the main story. They're all mostly go here and kill X. Go here and bring back X after killing Y. Go here and save this chocobo. Go here and catch this fish. Go here and kill this so you can take a picture. (Have I mentioned that taking pictures in game is incredibly lame? The skill is useless).
I kinda feel like the way to play this game is to get all the upgraded weapons , ignore the side shit and beat normal as quickly as possible to start a NG+ game that might actually challenge the player. It blows my mind that there is an easier mode than normal.

GTA Online update incoming: Gunrunning
Game is a monster for free content.
Southern San Andreas' illegal weapons trafficking industry rises to the surface in Gunrunning, a massive new update coming this June to GTA Online.
Dotted throughout Blaine County are hatches - look into these mysterious properties on the Maze Bank Foreclosure site and you’ll find sprawling underground headquarters for sale, ready to be stocked with new military grade vehicles and weapons manufacturing equipment capable of developing highly sought after offensive and defensive technologies. As the residents of Los Santos know, the only thing more fun than crime is profit and should you choose to invest in this new business, some extremely shady customers are ready to pay top dollar for what you can deliver.
Stay tuned for more on Gunrunning, including specific business and research opportunities, details on the massive tactical, full-service Mobile Operation Centers complete with new weapon upgrades and deep customization, all new Weaponized Vehicles and more.
