Mess? hardly. It's great for Cle. They essentially buy a 2nd round draft pick and they've got a bunch of money that they aren't going to use to sign free agents with because they have 8000 picks in the next two drafts. if someone can give them a 4th or a 5th for Brock that's just icing on the cake.
Browns will cut Brock, they have almost $100 in salary cap room and can absorb the $16 million dollar hit. Great move getting a 2nd rounder.
So many fucking moves today, my head hurts. I'm stunned Alshon took a prove it deal with the Eagles though.

Even if the Browns have to pay half of the salary, if they find a partner, they will net another pick for him.. great moves to get way younger..
Brock going to bank $40m+ in the last twelve months and has no idea where he may have to live when he goes to sleep tonight.
Wish the Ravens would have shown an interest in Alshon. As it stands, we're running with Mike Wallace and Bershad Perriman.
Philly signed Torrey Smith too.

By GQman2121 Go To PostBrock going to bank $40m+ in the last twelve months and has no idea where he may have to live when he goes to sleep tonight. That's huge because Philly only had room to build one way with FA and the draft. They chose to go the offense route with free agency and now probably will go defense early in the draft. Torrey Smith and Alshon guarantees Jordan Matthews plays most of his time in the slot, where he's been really good. Wentz has legit weapons at his disposal now.

Are any of these guys the Titans signed worth getting excited about? Never heard of any of em
S Jonathan Cyprien
LB Daren Bates
S Bryndan Trawick
I really hope these runs were making at Brandin Cooks and Donta Hightower pan out

Titans agreed to terms with S Johnathan Cyprien, formerly of the Jaguars.
A starter since being drafted 33rd overall in 2013, Cyprien somewhat struggled through the first three years of his career before a light came on in 2016. He was a tackling machine, and swatted away passes on the back end. Not yet 27 years old, Cyprien could see snaps at linebacker in DC Dick LeBeau's oft-used dime package with FS Kevin Byard and SS Da'Norris Searcy manning the safeties.
Titans signed LB Daren Bates, formerly of the Raiders, to a three-year, $6 million contract.
A special teams ace, Bates managed eight tackles in kick coverage in 2016.
Titans signed S Brynden Trawick, formerly of the Raiders, to a two-year, $4.75 million contract with $3 million guaranteed.Good improvements to Special Teams, and a nice upgrade at safety.
Per CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, the deal is for two years with a max value of $6.85 million. 27-year-old Trawick won't be playing much defense in Tennessee, but he is one of the NFL's premier kickoff and punt coverage specialists.
Patriots acquired WR Brandin Cooks and a 2017 fourth-round pick from the Saints in exchange for a first and third-round pick in the 2017 draft.... Motherfuckers...
The Saints promised Cooks would be gone by the end of the day and they were true to their word. The rumor was that New England was looking to land Cooks for top corner Malcolm Butler but he's staying put. The Patriots are giving up some premium draft picks, but this is a big get. Cooks is coming off his second straight 1,000-yard season and now gives the Patriots another weapon alongside Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Chris Hogan and Malcolm Mitchell. New England has been the winner of free agency so far, reeling in top corner Stephon Gilmore and now acquiring Cooks for draft picks. Back in New Orleans, Michael Thomas and Willie Snead are both looking at a big boost in fantasy production with Cooks out of the picture.

PHOENIX β The Oakland Raiders will move to Las Vegas after garnering enough votes from NFL owners on Monday to relocate to Southern Nevada.http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/19016323/raiders-move-las-vegas-approved-31-1
The Raiders received 31 of 32 votes to approve the move, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Twenty-four votes were needed. The Miami Dolphins were the only team to vote against the move, a source told Schefter.
The Raiders will still play in Oakland in 2017 and possible longer.
With a 65,000-seat, $1.9 billion domed stadium to be shared with UNLV not expected to open until 2020, Raiders owner Mark Davis has told ESPN he plans on staying in Oakland the next two seasons. The team holds a pair of one-year options at the Oakland Coliseum.
Welp, Oakland will no longer have a NFL or NBA team in a couple years. Just the A's for them now. That sucks. One just as they have started an era of dominance and another just as they were close to becoming good.
NASTY
Edit:
To expand further, the name Las Vegas Raiders is nasty. The fans of the team still in Oakland will probably revolt. They care a lot more about their team than the Chargers ever did. 2 more season there and then out, is gonna be rough. They've been making progress on the field and this is a damper on all of that from the fans perspective.

And yet Romo and friends can't meet at a non-casino venue in the city for a fan meet and greet fantasy event. The NFL is run by the oldest, richest, whitest morons in professional sports.

Las Vegas Raiders sounds a little XFLy but what else can you call them
Yeah, so this morning when I woke up, I saw a CBS Sports notification on my tablet along the lines of, "Sentenced to life in prison Aaron Hernandez commits..."
Now this was 6:29 in the morning and my mind I was not geared in the direction of "commits suicide". I thought it would have been anything other than that. Maybe commits to getting a new trial for his innocence of something like that. In hindsight, that was a dumb option for my mind to go with in this situation.
If I had to list my emotions in order of them happening when I finally saw what he did, they'd be like this:
He's a thug. He's a coward. He's a convicted murderer. Instead of serving his life sentence he ended his life.
He forever ruined the families of his victims and never showed remorse over that. The Lloyd's are without a son. Hernandez's daughter no longer has a father. His extended family no longer has him, convict and all. Isn't it interesting that his actions have gone and left them in the same position as that of his victims?!
And selfishly, as a normal citizen, that doesn't play sports professionally, he had an opportunity that many others fail to get a sniff at. An obviously talented guy squandering it all. An NFL team took a chance on him and all of this his how he repayed the. It's an incredible waste of life. His decision has negatively affected so many others. And that's a damn shame.

And the worst part is his absence didn't slow the Patriots down at all really. May he burn for all eternity on that one.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostI'm a Bears supporter. Who is Trubisky and why did they trade away a shitload of picks? One year starter at North Carolina where he put up comparable stats to Marquise Williams who he replaced last season.
He will likely struggle for a while and then either be average forever or bust out. Since it's the Bears, and he's a qb, I'm leaning towards the latter.
Ozzie, bring us Corey Davis or Watson if he's still there!

... I'm still stunned. The guy literally cannot read blitzes. Just when I thought Cleveland would go Cleveland, the Bears beat them.
BTW no advanced draft coverage since my computer is at my sister's place (typing on my phone). Sorry guys.

Not surprised that Watson is still available but am surprised that two guys have gone before him.

McCaffrey was legit as fuck in college. We'll see how he does in the NFL, but I don't think it's a pick you should be immediately down on.
So Browns trade the 2nd 1st rounder instead of drafting Watson.... Texans immediately take him. What is Cleveland doing? I guess they waiting until the 2nd round?
Dy I gotta know: would you draft an Asian RB before you draft a white RB?
