My son has really picked it up on his words and talking. Not quite full on, complex sentences, but he is in super sponge mode right now. Fun to watch .

It's pretty rad. Some of the things that come out of my daughters mouth just make me roll. Other times it makes me want to punch things though.
My son is now old enough to crawl and kinda pull himself up into a sitting position. My daughter and him can occasionally play together, which is nice.
Yeah sons the way he articulates himself at times really amazes me. It catches me off guard and takes me a moment to process before I can reply. Seems to be picking up potty training really well on top of that. It's just great man.
He's so frigging mischievous though. Really starting to test boundaries

I feel bad because my daughter is trying to talk now but I confuse her by speaking English to her...
I know it's good for her but feel like I am making it harder than it needs to be for her...
on the flip side she says "hey baby" to everyone she hangs with because that's how I greet her

One of my good friends married a Mexican and learned Spanish. They speak 50/50 English/Spanish and maybe even 60/40. It’s pretty remarkable how they kick things up

Clothes we agree on its the combinations that kill me.
Got him ready today and though meh my wife won't like that so lets play it safe.
I heard on the phone to my inlaw wondering if he went out in the clothes he was dressed in....
I didn't think I would survive having a third kid, but he turns 6 months old this week and I'm already freaking out at how quickly my kids are growing up. Adding a third hasn't been nearly as hard as I thought, but I definitely feel like I'm at my absolute limit with three. Luckily all three kids love the outdoors and they're happy to go on backpacking and camping trips.
He looks like a happy baby!
They grow up so fast... mine is a 1yr and 5 months now and into all sorts of stuff

It's crazy how quickly babies develop a personality. Also how quickly they learn, anything.
Ah, I knew it was a daughter. Sorry.
Yes, the rate at which they learn is amazing. Even my third time around, I find myself surprised at how quickly they grow and progress.

By jar155 Go To PostAh, I knew it was a daughter. Sorry.yeah, I don't have any experience so have nothing to base it on but she pretty much only needs to see something done once or twice before she has a general idea what to do... she don't fall for any of the old tricks or distractions anymore as well... they good thing tho is she is learning to play by herself now as well

My son caught on to potty training pretty quick. Like the moment we put underwear on him and he shit for the first time, he was like wtf, and hasn't done it since. And when he has to shit he tells me or my wife to leave the bathroom, and calls us when he's done lol.
Now only put a pull up on him at night or when we plan to go somewhere for awhile, but he's getting better with that.
Yesterday we went out to eat with his reg underwear on. Gone for about 1.5 hr. We get home and I hear him lifting up the seat and making sounds like it's me who has to piss. Go check on him and yep he's letting it go like a grown man. I was proud 😂

She just gets embarrassed. She's dry 90%+ of evenings too and lets tells us know when she has to pee. She will actively find a hiding spot to take a dump. Found her behind the curtain one time.
My son needs to hurry the fuck up and walk. Totally content crawling and i'm over carrying him everywhere lol
Working on trying to get my son to stay in his bed. he doesn't have any issues falling asleep in it or napping in it, but usually around 3-4a he comes wondering in and making himself at home in the middle of our bed😐

My daughter, thankfully doesn't do this. She wakes up as we all do and goes back down and usually doesn't get up until 7:30-8. We have cameras in their room and usually know when she's waking up. So I think she's kinda learned just by repetition that when we come in it's time for her to wake up and not before.
My son is going to be the one to get out of bed. He's up at 6:30-7 and wants to start climbing out of his crib.
They're finally playing better. She still has a hard time sharing, but I recognize it's hard for her sometimes. She's full on into pretending and he just comes in and smashes through toys like a bulldozer.
By Kidjr Go To PostRandom q but how many of your partners are satisfied with the way you dress your children?
My ex and I are on the same page when it comes fo dressing the kid. He dresses nice as fuck compared to all the other kids there
My wife has mostly been taking the kids to get shots. She hates it. I finally was there to take my son to his one year. 7 shots and then blood drawn. Holy shit it's awful. Having blood drawn is the worst. Had to hold the kid down, forcefully, so that he's absolutely still while she draws blood for 30 seconds. Seems like an hour.
My daughter straight hates the doctor. She gets constipated and we took her in one time to get checked cause she hadn't gone in 5 days even with suppositories. They stuck a finger in her butt. We took her to get her flu shot with my son when he got his 1 year shots. The entire time she kept saying, "please mommy, please daddy, not the mean doctor." I kept telling her not to worry. That she won't have her butt touched and that she could keep her pants on. Then the doc comes in and says, "take her pants down the shot is in her leg". FML ...

Saw this post on linkedin and I quite dig it, some basic things you as a father should pass to your son:
1. Never shake a man’s hand sitting down.
2. Don’t enter a pool by the stairs.
3. The man at the BBQ Grill is the closest thing to a king.
4. In a negotiation, never make the first offer.
5. Request the late check-out.
6. When entrusted with a secret, keep it.
7. Hold your heroes to a higher standard.
8. Return a borrowed car with a full tank of gas.
9. Play with passion or not at all…
10. When shaking hands, grip firmly and look them in the eye.
11. Don’t let a wishbone grow where a backbone should be.
12. If you need music on the beach, you’re missing the point.
13. Carry two handkerchiefs. The one in your back pocket is for you. The one in your breast pocket is for her.
14. You marry the girl, you marry her family.
15. Be like a duck. Remain calm on the surface and paddle like crazy underneath.
16. Experience the serenity of traveling alone.
17. Never be afraid to ask out the best looking girl in the room
18. Never turn down a breath mint.
19. A sport coat is worth 1000 words.
20. Try writing your own eulogy. Never stop revising. Ever.

On holiday with my son, the depth of a love for your child man, what impresses me most is the consistency of the strength of that love.
Hes three and half so I imagine smoke and others going through the same thing. Really starting to come into his own personality wise, inquisitive motherfucker, but has his own ideas an opinions that I'm sometimes quite shocked as to where that information even came from.

Yep he just turned 3 a few weeks ago. Talking in very clear sentences. Will just randomly be like "I love you" out of nowhere too ;_;.
He actually stayed up with me a few nights ago. I was playing a game on the couch he went and got his blanket and sat next to me. For like the next hour or so we were hanging the controller off back and forth playing and that shit had me in my feels.

I asked my daughter why my son was crying in the backseat. She will sometimes fuck with him and pinch him. I asked "why is Gianni crying? Are you being nice?"
her reply: "Yes I'm being nice. Gianni is being a pain in the butt."
She tell some whopper lies too now. Her manipulation game of her grandmother (and others) has leveled up again.
Oh yeah he's starting to associate what he should ask mum and what he should ask me, I really enjoy understanding how his brain works and how he pieces life puzzles together.
Def not one to shout about intelligence at this age but his love for animals is pretty cool. Def a visual learner from what I can tell (but what child isn't at that age).
Ahh man I live for the feels, quick word of advice enjoy every last second of it because affection quickly becomes on their terms. I def don't get hugs and kisses all the time, dude will flat I tell me no thanks. First time it happened didn't know how to react other than respect it lol

He just entered this phase. Like he'll randomly say mommy daddy I love you and then the next hour tell my wife he doesn't love her anymore and not his friend 😂
My daughter has been making me work for a come home kiss for months. Mommy not so much. Daddy has to work for it though.
It’s definitely a fun age in these regards. The other day I had to tell her that some people are shy when she got all hurt some kid at the park wouldn’t say hi to her. She’s super outgoing. Just some rando parenting moment I had never thought about lol
