By LFMartins86 Go To PostI can't wait for the sequel where they go about how the sterilised them.
Never heard anything about this before, seems interesting.
Still waiting for a trailer, teaser, anything about Wu Assassins, it's supposed to come out in 3 weeks.
By Laboured Go To PostIt definitely looks faithful to The Witcher, and that's a hurdle I was a little worried it wouldn't cross.
By Zabojnik Go To PostIt does look a bit "hello, this is a fantasy series", but decent enough otherwise.
It being an approx. 8 ep TV show I was wondering how much of the effects they'd finished. Did anyone notice cat eyes at any point?
First half of S3 of La Casa De Papel/Money Heist was crazy. It's the kind of show that you want to binge as you end every episode thinking what the hell are they going to do next.
The pace has been ridiculous, I don't think there was a single slow moment, something is always happening.
I was very suspicious on how they were going to follow up the first two seasons as it was actually supposed to be a limited series and aired as a single season in the Spanish TV but so far they have justified the existence of a S3 and it's working.
Oh and Netflix seems like they won't stop spending crazy money. They are trying to get Eddie Murphy to do a new stand up show and seem willing to pay $70M for it.

By LFMartins86 Go To PostMindhunter S2 out on the 16th of August.nice
By Zabojnik Go To PostIt does look a bit "hello, this is a fantasy series", but decent enough otherwise. The part "the worst monsters, are the ones we create" made me kinda gag.
Rest was pretty solid with a few exceptions here and there. Could be worse, but also better.
A friend brought up an interesting idea. They should made Witcher kinda similar to X-Files. Monster of the week episode alongside the normal storyline episodes. Could work quite well.

serialized procedurals don't work well given Netflix's release model
By Apollo Go To PostThis might be the best season of Stranger Things yet
Still not as good as one for me but it’s better than 2. Had a lot of fun this season.

By Fenderputty Go To PostThere was a lot of suspension of disbelief, but was there ever not?Mike is WOAT kid
Yeah he’s pretty weak, both from a character standpoint and acting as well. Probably my least favorite character this season. Will is a close second, but his character has always been kind of a second thought.
The two new female additions were ace though.

"Money Heist" is definitely a pleasant surprise for me. First season, 13 episodes about a heist? How are they gonna pull this off?
Yup they pulled it off. I'm starting season 3 and just binging like a crack addict.

Not going to lie, I am very disappointed by the look of this but it's Iko Uwais so I'll watch it anyway.
By DY_nasty Go To Postlol I can't believe stranger things is the hypeIs it? Just though people loved it for the stupid entertainment and nostalgic setting. Never hear anyone describe it as hype.
By DY_nasty Go To PostGoing through stranger things and this shit wild overratedThey kind of blew it in S2 with the writing, and the Duffer brothers must have had terrible teenage years.
good nostalgia > good writing
But it is still great fun and half of the cast is amazing..
By DY_nasty Go To Postwow your standardsI imagine you wrote this with your pinky out...
It wasn't really standards... It was assessment of the show
By Not Go To PostThe Steve and Robin stuff towards the end is really good, the rest is mostly uncompellingDustin is such a better actor than the kids that they had to remove him from the group
Like I don’t get how you watch season three and not have fun. I get why you might not think it’s great or even particularly good in the writing department, but it was still fun. The music was ace, the visuals good, mostly fun characters, half of story lines were good and the 80’s sci fi horror genre is great.
Standards are great and all, but like, set them too high and you’ll miss out on lots of fun rides. DY’s movie life is Adams love life
Mike specifically is really bad. Will too. Really bad. El, max and Lucas are all serviceable

DY I watched the first ep a long time ago and thought it was mid
I could see why people liked it but it wasn’t for me.
Kind of want to give it another shot tbh

started s3. the wheelers some thots
space cases, alex mack, the journey of alan strange, pete & pete - all better than present day stranger things. its okay. its very okay.
mike is the worst kid of all time. its like if someone saw the kid from free willy and the kid from power rangers turbo and decided to give him a waifu and sense of Gamer accomplishment.
By domino Go To PostDY I watched the first ep a long time ago and thought it was midits very very fukkin okay - and you'll notice people over 35 love this shit way more than others only followed by people 28-35 with lame af childhoods.

On a board filled with Arsenal and Man U fans, I can totally get it.
That season finale of La Casa De Papel was pure evil.
Hopefully the next season will be out this year, pretty sure they already finished shooting it.

You are so right Martin GODDAMN that was uncomfortable to watch yet riveting.
I rarely root for "bad guys with good intentions" but after 3 seasons I've become attached to this bunch.
Gimme season 4 now!

Netflix needs to put up some money for the licenses because 90% of it's original programming is awful. Hulu has basically every classic sitcom(family matters, seinfeld, living single, fraiser, cheers, married with children, Different World etc etc)
By DY_nasty Go To Postthe bullies were right. fuck mike. they knewWhat, on bullying a kid because he seems kinda gay?

Think Netflix's original series' aee great, in a sense. Tons of series or movies Im not interested in, but it's only because it's not for me.
The Adam Sandler series of movies were pretty popular for them. As long as they keep the quality up on the 10% then Im happy.

Netflix is doing the right thing, they need original shows because licensing shows has become nearly impossible as everyone wants their own service.
I don't have enough time to watch everything I want, just this month they released new seasons for at least 5 shows I like. Manhunter S2 is coming in 2 weeks, Unbelievable is looking really good.
Yeah, the original movies have been way more miss than hit but I had a blast with Always Be My Maybe, Velvet Buzzsaw was a mind fuck and The Highwaymen was decent.
And that what has been happening, piracy has been on the rise again. I subscribe to 3 streaming services and there's still a lot that's unavailable.
Maybe I need to check out more Netflix shows but most of them that I've tried have been straight turrible.
They need to poach from whatever talent pool HBO draws from.
RIP American Vandal. I am hype for Mindhunter season 2 tho.

no most of them really are fucking terrible. my dad really tried to sell me on this Happy show recently and holy fucking shit, i have not seen something that bad in a long time. forcing myself through two episodes were rough.

I actually think most of the stuff I watch on Netflix these days is their original content or stuff they exclusively distribute here. Bodyguard, Wanderlust, Patriot Act, I Think You Should Leave, Stranger Things, Queer Eye.
I've enjoyed some of their original movies, too, like To All the Boys I've Loved Before. They've kinda cornered the market on good romantic comedies, weirdly.
