Manhunt: unabomber was a good watch. Not as great as I was thinking it was gonna be. Probably cause of Sam Worthington, he sucks
Paradox spent too much time on the bits no one cares about. Last 5 seconds of the film were the best.
By Kabro Go To Postplease don't watch Paradox. As soon as the news about Paramount possibly selling it to Netflix became known, the quality of the movie was called into question.
save yourselves of the two hours I'll never get back.
I wonder what that means for Annihilation. Paramount dumped the Cloverfield movie without having it get torn to shreds in theaters. They've decided to give Annihilation two-weeks before it goes to Netflix. That doesn't sound like they have much confidence in it either.
Netflix doesn't want to become the streaming solution of straight to video tier movies, do they?

By RATHasReturned Go To PostAs soon as the news about Paramount possibly selling it to Netflix became known, the quality of the movie was called into question. It's 3 weeks and it doesn't apply to the USA, Canada or China where it is getting a theatrical release.

Supposedly Paramount is not confident about it after some early test screenings got low scores and the audience thought the movie was too intellectual.
The Netflix deal allows Paramount to recoup most of the expenses and hopefully gather some money from the theatrical release from 3 of the strongest markets.
Netflix is fine with this because it's another great get for them. They want all kinds of movies in their catalogue.

Not comparable to trash like Paradox.
By Omzz Go To PostProbably cause of Sam Worthington, he sucksI remember when he first hit the scene there were tons of basically milquetoast af dudes. Evans and Reynolds have found a niche with comic book shit but Taylor Kitsch still lame.
Netflix has signed a 5 year deal with Ryan Murphy for 300M$.
Never would I expect that the guy behind Nip/Tuck would one day be worth 300M$.
Really interested to see what an unchained Murphy can do, I do enjoy the weirdness that was Nip/Tuck and that is American Horror Story, Feud and American Crime Story have also been good.

The Joel McHale Show With Joel McHale just went up today. It's exactly like The Soup and it's going to be weekly.

That's fucked up.......
That Chris Rock stand-up special is him on cruise control for an hour. It isn't until the final 20 minutes where he's talking about his divorce and how he fucked up that it becomes interesting. Easy money for him.
chris rock on cruise control > pretty much everyone tho
compared to chapelle on cruise control feeling like death

Oh no...
I imagine it's easier/cheaper to produce given they'll have plenty of bottle episodes due to the nature of the show.

So it's been announced today that Claire Foy was paid less than co-star Matt Smith for their two seasons of The Crown
The internet is up in arms over a fatal misunderstanding of how actors are paid.

How many people of the demographic its actually aimed at are watching it because Matt Smith is in it?
A ton? It's a BBC production and Matt Smith was supremely popular as Doctor Who.
Hell, I remember going to a Christmas Special when Smith was still the Doctor at the Lloyd cinema and it was mostly women in attendance.

The demographic that would watch period dramas like the Crown would watch it regardless. You get someone like Matt Smith to bring an audience who wouldn't otherwise watch the series.
i get there's a thing for names that bring their own crowds/bases, but that shit is way overblown and skews the entire pay scale
matt smith ain't bringing anybody to the crown lol. at least not in the capacity of his role in the show
we cashing out for junior varsity nathan fillions now? just because?
