By Elchele Go To PostFinally watched Chappelle's come back (the first one). Eh, it had some good moments but it wasn't that great to be honest. His first set of Netflix specials aren't great. Equanimity is the one really good one.
He does seem like someone who got rich and it got to his head. Unless it's a character he's playing during the standup
Saw the Netflix Portugal added Taxi Driver recently and to my surprise it is available on 4K.
I hope they continue adding more things outside of their originals in 4K.

It bother me a bit how high he was.
Thought Joe Mande’s Award-Winning Comedy Special was much better.
I like this angle on cyberpunk. The whole replicants and what does it mean to really be human stuff has gotten really tired. The source material here is good but this is the sort of thing that can very very easily feel like a sci-fi channel special, and I got some of those vibes from the trailer.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostThe ending of The End Of The Fucking World was a bummer. It can't be a more depressing ending than his Black Mirror episode. I plan to watch the series over the next few days (four day weekend baby!).
Good show though.
Watching Faulty Towers for the first time, pretty funny show. Already some light racism against Spanish and Irish people in the first two episodes. Manuel is very similar to the caricature of Mexican characters in American tv.
Finally started watching Peaky Blinders since I'm at home sick.
Damn, why I been sleeping on this ? This is some top tier tv.

By HasphatsAnts Go To PostAnybody watching Dark?I watched it late last year and really liked it, definitely one of the more interesting shows that aired last year.
Lots of Lynch and Fincher in this show.
Beautifully shot, great sound design, quality acting, fleshed out characters and a really well written story that kept me wondering about what/when. Only negative maybe few to many families/characters to keep track of how they develop over/in time, which felt it complicated things unnecessary sometimes (you almost need that main photo family board from characters in different time periods at hand to keep track).
Ending went where I expected it to go, curious if they can keep the quality (writing) up for the second season.
By Elchele Go To PostI don't think that going to the future is going to end up well.We already saw it working out OK for Jonas this season, so who knows ;)
By reilo Go To PostGermany has been using BMWs as their police vehicles for decades. Not in general.
But they're part of the lineup.
lol call it a hunch but i'm gonna guess not many small town police chiefs in the States drive an A8.
Probably not but that's because American local, state and federal agencies aren't gonna be ordering cars from overseas. America's pool of locally made vehicles just sucks :P

By reilo Go To PostNo wonder they can't make good film, should hire someone with more experience in differentiating good from shit
By data Go To PostI wanted to like Devilman Crybaby but they completely fucking butchered Go Nagai's art styleYuasa did not attempt to emulate Nagai's art. It's Masaki Yuasa's thing. His works are very polarizing due to the weird art styles. You either hate them or love them.
I love, love, love them,
I think there was a series and an OVA that you'd probably prefer.
I finished it. I liked the OVA a lot more when I saw that last year.
the music is amazing though. esp judgement

Yeah art style did not work for me one bit. Also that show is fucking tonally all over the place. That can work if presented properly, which it wasn't here.
Yup the art was a big downer for me. I'm a sucker for the original OVA styles, however.
Watched The Road before bed last night. A lovely, light-hearted story, innit?

The twist being they were being followed by John Fashanu and Ulrika Johnsson the entire time.

Definitely not as good as the book. But it's impossible for a movie to capture the moment to moment discomfort and crippling doubt that the inner monologue in the book represents.
The Eighties isnt very good
its kind of all over the place and the people on it aren't really that entertaining or knowledgeable
