By Zabojnik Go To PostWell, of course he is, Shanks. I was talking about the last swimming duel.
Yeah of the race. She said. The person I love is gonna be the winner of the race. So he is the winner.
WTF? I posted something and even hit reply and it didn't post.
EDIT: So about what Ami said.
Keisuke won. He held back in the races because he didn't want to break the records. He wanted to beat Nakanishi. Throughout the whole series he holds back and never lets anyone really see him or sees how he feels. He does things at the exact moment they're supposed to happen. A good example is when he tells Ami how he feels. They're in the woods alone. It's perfect.
Ami knew this. She had watched him train for two years. She saw he was holding back because he didn't care about records. He didn't care about his name being remembered. He wanted to beat Nakanishi in a race. Why does he give the marathon runners name when he thought he was going to lose? Because earlier in the manga he saves a girl and his name gets published. It brings unwanted attention.
Ami knew he was going to win. That there was no way he was going to let Nakanishi beat him at anything especially after the slap happened.

By Totti x 40 Go To PostThe movie is good?
It's more serious than it should be. Just a condensed version of the manga. I enjoyed it.
By Apollo Go To PostWTF? I posted something and even hit reply and it didn't post.Ehhh, I guess. I mean, it's a valid theory and the one that makes the most sense given Keisuke's progression throughout the story. However ... the one time Keisuke didn't hold back, when he and Nakanishi dived to save Ami, he lost. Completely. Just saying. :P

BTW we really don't need to spoiler. It is meant to be completed this week so it is all fair game.
But he didn't lose completely.
Nakanishi said he just got there an inch closer and couldn't believe how close it was.
Plus, you could argue that Kei did not fully know his feelings at the time. However, at the time of the race when he says he is gonna save Ami, he is going in completely knowing how he feels and this time he won't get beaten.

Doesn't Kei's dream about her drowning make it seem like he didn't win because he froze up at the last second?
By Ciaran Go To PostPlease start (and possibly finish) Jojo.Yurto <3
Believe it or not, I'm actually reading Part 6 now. The coloured version is incredible, unfortunately I have it in PDF format, which is a fucking pain in the culo to read on a tablet, because it's not 1 pdf page = 1 manga page.
By Zabojnik Go To PostGonna start (and possibly finish) on Uzamaki later today.
I am gonna start Uzamaki today is well.
Gonna try and do Tomie, too.
By Apollo Go To PostHow long is Uzumaki? I think I saw a hardcover of it at Barnes and Nobel. It should be 3 volumes.
By Apollo Go To PostBuying tomorrowEhhh, I don't know.
Finished Volume 2 today. It's okay, I guess. Some really creepy imagery, but on the whole the story feels ... disjointed. Hopefully volume 3 brings it all together somehow. It's not a bad read, but I was expecting more given the author's apparent fame.
By Zabojnik Go To PostEhhh, I don't know. It's just not a genre that is heavily covered, neither is the artstyle or the type of horror.

If you want a heavier story piece, I'll recommend Homunculus by Hideo Yamamoto. It has 15 volumnes though.
Shin Angyo Onshi is an incredible manga. It's about one of the last surviving law keepers in a feudal society. Most were murdered when the kind was betrayed and overthrown. It's about the MC avenging his comrades but also trying to forge his way in a changed society that has turned from order to chaos. It's also extremely violent. This is a manwha rather than manga but I need to recommend it.
Done with Uzumaki. What's next? Think I've had enough horror for a while, lel.
What shall we read next? Koe no Katachi / A Silent Voice?

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostI have fallen behind this month. Should finish Uzumaki this week.We talked about it on the previous page, it's about a boy and a deaf girl. The anime / movie is apparently smashing records in Nippon.
What is KNK about?
